Black Amber

I bought Zara Black Amber for my wife. I did it because I was in the Zara store to buy a present for my teen daughter and decide to buy a new perfume for my wife just to please her. I choose this particular scent because I sprayed it in my skin and loved it. As I tried 6 different fragrances, I was a bit confused to notice any resemblance with any thing else. It was my wife at home that noticed that it as scent similar to The One by D&G. Yes it does remember The One, but perhaps a bit more fruity. My wife does have a full bottle of D&G The One but did not mind a bit of receiving the Zara clone (a clone like a beautiful cousin and not a twin brother) ZBA does have a bit less sillage and longevity, but my wife does not mind to do a bit of overspraying. On top of it the Zara bottle is really nice. Congrats to Zara. I hope they will develop other quality scents besides this one.

I have the one of D&G and this one. And they really smell the same in the drydown. The beginning is different. The black amber starts off with a cranberry start which i adore. I even like the beginning of black amber more than the D&G the one. I really don't get the many comments this being sour and weak? On me this smells define and lasts forever. Its a deep vanille oriental on my skin and i love it very much.

This is one of the most interesting fragrances I have in my collection. The notes within are pretty simple and common, yet they fuse and work in an excellent way. This perfume (although they are completely different scents) gives me the same feeling as when I smell Midnight Bloom by Victoria`s secret. A luxurious, mysterious, and elegant scent that creates mental scenario of luxury.

love love this perfume. one thing I've realised men loves this perfume on me. it has a lot of depth to it so one won't be able to describe as sweet, floral, fruity or musky. I've bought it three times. it's cheap in price BUT does NOT feel, look and most importantly smell cheap at all. I just love this perfume and i definitely recommend this

Its a safe blind buy perfume ! Cozy ...i got it in a pack with red vanilla, and i love them both! But this 2 are too different. At the first nose it smells like a tea pine with lil honey ... The more i smell it, the more it got me with the fresh white flowers lil musky...after it gets chill u feel the warm sweet tropical citrus ...

The old version was my favorite new one is nice as well but there is something missing with reformulated versions as in all perfumes it's like they took the best notes and replace it with less quality notes, still one of my favorites in zara perfumes it smells like expensive bubblegum to me.

I'm so in love with this zara fragrance. I thought it would be a heavy sweet scent, but surprisingly tiare + musk dominate ZBA. It smells powdery floral with a touch of vanilla. The sillage and longevity quite good. Totally 10/10 for me

I bought this perfume of Zara when it first came out and I never had the opportunity to buy it again , I remember that it was very nice fragrance , it remained that way in my memory. I hope we meet again somewhere...

Soft, rounded in some special way, like a cloud! I get so disapointed in a goooood way! Just love this fragrance from the first second! Just perfect for me, little sweet, floral, fruity, so good balance❤

I don't see the similarity with The One that everybody else is talking about. This perfume smells like bubblegum, but it's heavy and mature. Great for night-time in winter. Amazing quality for the price

There is no Amber in Dark Amber :) But I like it. It smells a little dusty, I don't detect any sweet notes and that's great. Summary: it's worth to try.

First of all, I'm curious about who names Zara fragrances. You'd think that 'Black Amber' might be an amber dominant fragrance or a least have amber listed in the notes, yet it does not. This was a blind buy and upon first spray, felt like a regrettable mess. Sour, alcohol, burned rubber. It wasn't overly strong though, so I left it on and gave it a chance. An hour later and I'm so glad I did. I used to own D&G's The One but it was so long ago that I'd pretty much forgotten how it smelled. I was just immediately transported back once Black Amber got going. That olfactory nostalgia that cannot be faked. I'm sure this isn't an exact dupe and I'm sure that The One doesn't open in quite such a horrible way but Black Amber is one of the closest things to a real dupe for a designer fragrance that I've come across in some time.. Now if only I could find such a close match to D&G's Feminine.

I honestly fell in love with this first spritz. I have a tester set of all the Zara Evening Collection scents but taking in what he actual packaging looks like, it’s a pretty accurate representation to me. At the same time, the scent itself was unexpected? It’s such a dark and intriguing scent to me, personally, I smiled to myself when I first smelled it because it’s just everything I would want to smell like in a bottle. Unfortunately, I don’t 100% love it is because it dries down on my skin in 10 minutes and just disappears (which in most cases would normally turn me off from a scent), and before that it settles into a cheap baby oil kind of scent. Very disappointing.. BUT I love it so much (when not on my skin) that I will buy a small bottle to spray on my clothes and on my bed from time to time.

In a hurry, between two longdistance-trains, I grabbed 4 bottles unsniffed and I didn't have time to check the notes because the only Zara shop in Oslo was closing in 2 minits, so this Black Amber came with me, and I gave 20 comments a green thumb up, but Black Amber smells wonderful in the air and the first spay on my arm, but after 5 minits it's gone with the wind, it smells "nada" - and the drydown is even worse; bugspray and rubber, I'm so very disappointed with this perfume, because I want it to stay good and longer on my skin :(( But, I have had a second opinion; it smells much nicer in wintertime =))

I've purchased a gift set from Zara, containing 2 fragrances: Black Amber and Red Vanilla. I had high hopes for this one as I've read so many opinions comparing it to the one by Dolce and Gabbana. Well,first spritz smelled like bug spray to me. What a disappointment! After some minutes it got warmer and more interesting. It's not a "love" for me and it's not a "The one" twin, but it does smell good and has a feel good vibe about it. Less rich, peachy and creamy that D&G's creation , this little gem from Zara has its own strong personality.

I went into a Zara outlet yesterday and spent a fair bit of time sampling their scents as I don't get there very often. I took a few tester strips home and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised to find that the scents are actually quite nice considering the low price on them. Black Amber is really nice; a soft Amber that doesn't scream 'nighttime only' either. I would wear this any time of the day during the cooler months of the year. To me it is soft, cozy, comforting and caressing. Worthwhile checking out indeed...

I like this perfume quite. This perfume reminds me a little of dolce and gabanna the one but then the dry down smells alot like J'adore by Dior. This perfume smells musky, fruity then sweet. Smells a lot like luxury shampoos in my op[inion. I recommend this to anyone looking for a perfume or mist after bath but it does not last very long and the sillage is very weak. Very fresh but doesn't really have an impact. If you're looking to just freshen up, you can go with this.

To me it smells like a sweet, fruity shampoo. Clean yet warm and feminine. I got a mini in a discovery set and I'll use it but probably wouldn't buy a full size. On a shampoo it would be a really nice, inoffensive scent but I expect more from a perfume and this is just a "like". Doesn't smell straight up cheap or anything but don't expect anything sophisticated. I see myself wearing it on chilly afternoons in casual settings. Sillage and longevity match the price.

Sour exotic fruit and musky vanilla. Good longevity, but not my cup of tea? It ‘s worth to try. Good longevity. Edit I changed my mind. It is sweet and very comforting, not completely vanilla, no completely musky, something between the two sides that makes me simply feel really good and happy. The little sourness combined with the soft tone reminds me of dsquared2 potion for her. Uncomplicated scent for an uncomplicated life. Perfect.
