Blue Spirit

I got this precise square navy blue bottle of it on vinted in 2025 (in the shape of Amber Ego, Red Mind and Grey Soul) and OMG how smooth and high quality it feels comparing to today's Blue Spirit / Seoul releases. I don't know if it's the maceration that took place or the formula itself but WOW. I started to like Blue Spirit now 😂

Zara has released another Invictus inspired fragrance with Blue Spirit. In this particular case, they decided to include it in one of their most recent lines, which also has Red Mind, Grey Soul and Ambar Ego. I liked the rest of the line, and also the design overall, so I decided to get this one just to finish the collection. Then I tested it one on one with Seoul, the most popular Invictus inspired fragrance they've released. They're both extremely similar in the opening, with Blue Spirit maybe being a little less fresh than Seoul, but I'd say 90% similar. The drydown is a whole different story. Don't get fooled by the sillage reviews. It's not very big, as usual with Zara fragrances. It is kind of a skin scent, if anything a 3 feet sillage for some minutes. While the drydown of Seoul is a toned down version of what you get in the opening, this one on the contrary is a different story than what you smell during the opening. You can feel a subtle but sweet leather coming out of your skin, and a rather oriental feel that did not resemble the opening at all, and I like that. For the reason above, I'd really recommend this for nights out. I was not expecting that drydown to be honest. It is not mind blowing, but a nice surprise for a cheapie (9,95 euros in Spain). To finish things up, I love the minimalistic design. This little bottle design is beautiful, very similar to Gucci Guilty's one, and the dark blue really suits the feel of this fragrance. 7/10.

These are not the proper notes to this cologne, so for anyone buying this do NOT go by the notes. This is that typical copy of Invictus that Zara has become known for, and its just re packaged into a different bottle, unfortunately. I support Zara and I own tons of the their colognes, but this is just another clone of a clone, with just a different name. I recognized the scent immediately and opens my cabinet and found a few other Zara bottles and it’s literally identical to others. It’s almost exactly the same as Summer Collection Zara. Type it in the search engine and what pops up is the exact copy, maybe the opening is a tad different but the mid and dry down are a carbon copy. All I get is orange blossom. There is no leather in this, no pepper, and definitely no nutmeg. Skip the 20$ this costs and pick another bottle that isn’t one of the 50 copies of this bottle. I’m not even going to rate the bottle because I’m salty right now that I wasted my money.

To me, it smells very similar to Zara Seoul. Maybe a bit more aquatic, somewhat more elegant. I don't know, perhaps I'm forcibly trying to find differences where they aren't any.
