Frosted Cream 2019

People who "cannot smell vanilla" - or "frosted cream goodness" - like all of these "cheaper" gourmandes - when it arrived, shake the bottle vigorously, for 2 minutes - shake the bottle very hard (like there is no tomorrow!) Then leeave it, in a (slighly cooler than room temperature cupboard or drawer) - in your living room preferably - for FOUR weeks, to macerate (but, not like the usual perfume storing temperature a slightly warmer than that room) - after 4 weeks - shake the bottle (very hard, for 2 full minutes) - again! & then test it - & you will find the creamy vanilla. (I first found this out with a DKNY ice cream/sorbet perfume (that I thought had no dessert, just citrus & something like cucumber.) Lots of shaking - with 4-6 weeks in-between & the real perfume appeared, v creamy & quite lovely actual. Yes you hv to be patient - it needs to settle (molecularly) - & macerate, but I can almost guarantee this will work. (& I know 4 weeks seems like waiting a while, but hey, 1 of my perfumes - that wasn't actually inexpensive) took 6 weeks this way to become what it is, so patience patience - but that's what I know. (Oh & you'll need to shake it quite hard for about 45 seconds every time - maybe 21 seconds if you shake it harder than my (v petite) self. They really ought to put this on the label, tbh.

This one just grew on me with time. I was head over heels for DKNY Sweet Delicious Creamy Meringue, and I still got one more bottle left (and I use it very little having the fear in my heart that one day it will be finished) hence I also got Zara Lemon Pie when it was out. Frosted Cream 2019 is their muted, more modest and shy sister, which reminds me of a lemon cake. I think these 3 have something in common when it comes to creams, vanilla and some fruity lemony air. I honestly cannot distinguish the strawberry in Frosted Cream, probably the yellow color of the bottle messes up with my head and I picture more of a vanilla lemon whipped cream for a Victoria sponge cake. Nonetheless, I love it more and more and really enjoy wearing it everyday - it's a daytime perfume, with shorter longevity. But that's the case with Zara perfumes. I would need to stock up on new bottles, just in case they are gone :D

I have the 2022 version and its lasting power is insane. I could still smell it more than 12 hours later, even after I’d taken a shower. Personally, I’m in love with this scent. As other reviews mentioned, it’s very creamy, fluffy and sweet, and indeed it might be a bit much/cloying on a hot summer day. Despite it not being an incredibly complex or sophisticated fragrance, I find this has amazing value for the price, and due to its lasting power, it’s a great and easy reach for layering! I don’t really get the strawberry note, to me this is a strong yet cozy vanilla, probably best for a colder day snuggling up on the couch. Overall, this is an 9/10 for me. It doesn’t get much better in the vanilla section with such a low price tag.

I've just bought the 2022 release of Frosted Cream and I love it! It's the perfect combination of creamy, citrusy and sweet. Words coming to mind to describe this fragrance are "fluffy" and "pale yellow". Frosted Cream bears a vague resemblance to Pascal Morabito's Pure Perle and is suitable for all occasions, even for the office.

I used to not believe that perfumes need macerate... but I also used to hate this one... I even wanted to sell it ... thank God nobody wanted it! I tested my bottle yesterday.... and is really really really good now!!!it only took 7 years 🤣🤣🤣🤣
