Glossy Mahogany by Zara opens with a sweet cherry and woody accord that immediately feels richer than one expects from a fast‐fashion label. The cherry is plush, jammy and candy‐like, but never gaudy; it has the sheen of a lacquered red fruit, set against a polished wood backdrop that lends instant depth and structure. Almost from the first spray, cherry and rose rise together, intertwining in the air to create a vivid, romantic lift with very good projection and a clearly noticeable sillage that trails gracefully behind the wearer. As the fragrance develops, the rose – reading very much like a Taif variety in its bright, refined tonalities – gradually overtakes the cherry. The composition shifts from playful gourmand fruit toward an increasingly floral, sophisticated character, like the slow unfurling of a silk rose in a crystal vase. Beneath this rosy heart, there is an intriguing, unlisted freshness that feels like a subtle blend of mint and lavender. This cool, aromatic facet gently reins in the syrupy cherry, tempering the sweetness and preventing the fragrance from tipping into excess. That hidden fresh accord also makes Glossy Mahogany surprisingly versatile. Fashionably London and Cherry Smoothie had a baby... to all portuguese... this is like drink a jijinha num copo de chocolate num jardim com rosas e alguns lírios... delightfull , cherry is allways there, but in a dark , intense, misterious way, also very smooth... top notes kinda go in zara fashionably london, but it turns in a diferent direction with that beautiful sexy creamy cherry allways there. This is my favorite cherry fragrance ever made.

This is a stunning scent from Zara - I bought a second bottle immediately before they discontinue it, as they are wont to do. Cherry and wood. Doesn’t perform amazingly, but has the price to match. A good bet if you enjoy a dark and juicy woody scent.

In the beginning it's fantastic. Then in the drydown there is the same rose scent as in Fashionably London which I hate. I wish there were no rose in it. It ruins the whole perfume.

You are lucky if you managed to get this one. It is one of the best fragrances Zara has ever created.
