Gold

I got this earlier today from my local Zara after years of basically holding off on it after knowing for years on its similarities to Black XS by Paco Rabanne, and I always dodged it due to bad judgement. Safe to say that I think Zara Gold (or formerly known as Zara Man Gold) is a beauty. The similarities to Black XS are there but Gold takes another approach to its composition. The Lemon note is sympathetically delicious, as it litterally smells like a Lemon Opal Fruit chew. The cinnamon and praline combo is also lovely as it reminds me very much of the festive season, in the same way Burberry London also achieves. The drydown is ambery, soft and woody with that rosewood behaving strongly. The only thing that is shitty about this scent is the longevity. Two-three hours max..bad crack man..but for the price it's okay. Still, a fantastic scent that I do respray as much as I can 👌

It's definitely a sexy scent and warm.

Zara Man Gold is a synthetic fragrance that lacks a distinct character. The cinnamon and palisander rosewood notes are barely distinguishable, and the overall scent feels generic. While it may be appropriate for colder seasons, it has the same issue as Zara Man Silver in that it can become nauseating in a warm environment. Overall, it's not a standout fragrance and you may want to consider other options.

Spend almost an hour at the nearest Zara store to test almost all Zara frags. And Zara Gold for Man stood out for me. Lemon, cinnamon and palisander wood is a note piramide that I like. I noticed that these newer Zara perfumes are on the light side and that's a bit disappointing. They are not as strong as my old Sweet Rich Addictive Tobacco bottle. But for 13 euro's I cannot complain. This one starts with a sweet lemon and cinnamon and dries down into a lovely fruity woody spicy smell. Not bad, not bad at all. Zara Gold for Man reminds me a bit of Zest di Sorrento. That one is a lemon woody powerhouse but costs 10 times more. I love to wear cinnamon and darker sweet lemon in the colder months so I will use this one frequently I think. Edit 6-10-23. Unfortunately this one became a very generic cheap smelling citrus ambroxan experience. Sometimes even off-putting.

Same old Man Gold with a new bottle. Same old Man Gold identical to all previous Man Gold. Same old Man Gold cloning PR Black XS. Fragrantica stop making new entries for these Zara classics.

My boyfriend wears this and weirdly it reminds me of mango
