Gourmand Coffee

Picture this: You're a renowned performer in their dressing room after a show. You're sitting down in front of your mirror with a freshly brewed espresso and a scoop of dark chocolate gelato in an ornamental bowl. You pour a bit of a fancy liqueur, that someone gifted to you, into your coffee, open a book of melancholic poetry, and bask in quiet glamour. The only lighting comes from flickering candles, and the moon and city lights outside your window. A black satin robe draped over your shoulders, your black eyeliner smudged and glossy, the lingering feeling of "Thank you!"s and laughter on your lips and in your chest. What has kept you going all this time? They love you. You see the crowd's awe in your memory after every show. You light a Sobranie cigarette, and reminisce on all your travels and performances. And you know they'll always either look up to you, desire you, or hate you. Do you care? Not really. Whatever keeps the show going, and moments like this reoccurring. It's all in the sweet magic of the stage, and maybe, just maybe— what's after it. (basically this perfume is typical for a showman with a love for coffee, chocolate, alcohol and glamour. that's it.)

After whipped coffee and cocoa sunset that I loved, I wanted to explore these collections from Zara more. Everybody was raving about Gourmand coffee, but in my country only a few of them were left so that created this urgency with me and I bought it without properly testing it. It is ok. What is the problem? It is too sweet and too lactonic for me. It is sickly sweet to me. And I don ́t like the smell of milk, never had. But, a few people that smelled it on me say it smells great, so I will keep it and wear it for now. But, I believe I will give it away to someone who will love it more. In my non expert opinion it lacks complexity and something sharp. It is definitely cold wather scent, though I believe it could be nice for summer as well, I like hot weather and sweet scents, but maybe this would be to heavy. Two months later: I love love love this perfume. It grew on me. It is kind of simple scent profile, but it is so warm, so comforting, so nice and it is yummy in the best sense possible. I grew to love lactonic and sweet aromas. Great buy.

I am a total perfume addict and have a special love for vintage Guerlain perfumes. Zara perfumes never interested me but the other day, waiting in line to pay, I smelled something I really liked. It turned out to be Gourmand Coffee. This is GOOD! Excellent sillage and longevity, very good price....and on my skin it is pure bliss. Do I feel like I smell like some tiramisu or mocha pastry? Yes! Does it bother me? Nope, I love it! I have been trying other chocolate (niche) perfumes (Montale, Maison Tahite) but GC wins by a mile over all the others. Just creamy cosy sweetness without any coconut, sunscreen notes or flowers. Perfect! I’m getting myself a backup bottle 🥳

this is so yummy ?!?! how was i sleeping on this! Smell like a nice warm coffee with a splash of milk in the beginning which is already good... then after a couple minutes its like you brought out some kind of dessert to go with it. Cake with coffee? Or a tiramisu dipped in coffee? Yeah count me in. I am a big fan. Price wise? Mega !!! I also tried layered it with my coconut perfume creme of clouds and that combination is so good to like just max out a bit more sweetness and lactonic play to it, but like it definitely doesn’t need it. This perfume works good by itself I just like layering...

The perfect coffee scent! When I was a kid we were on a holiday in Italy. We bought a pack of instant cappuccino powder in some local store. It wasn’t expensive or anything but it was so rich and balanced and creamy and perfect, that we bought a bunch of packs for home as well and we drank it for months. I never found anything like it, anywhere. Now this perfume has exactly the same scent as that wonderful cappuccino. Strong dark coffee with sweet and light, foamy milk. Also GC is great for layering, I tested it with vanillas and milky scents, but I think coconuts would work well too.

First time I smelled it, was in Parma Zara store – it was very hot outside and inside the AC was running well – I did not spray it on my arm but in the cap and the immediate splash of a sweet coffee was there – it lingered long in my nose, even when I left the store – and only couple of weeks later when it was on sale I bought a bottle – once in a while I put my nose in the cap to recapture the moment of smelling a sweet gourmand coffee, I haven’t worn it yet – I am waiting the colder weather to wear it – these sort of fragrances might be too polarizing wearing it on a summers day

Damn this perfume is insanely good and exceeded my expectations - both for Zara and for the pricepoint. It's an *insanely* accurate coffee smell from first spray, projects decently and lasts for quite a long time. There's definitely dark chocolate in there and a milky sweetness that is cosy and yet invigorating. I would wear it as a woman but my dad says he wants a bottle, so I'd say it's definitely a unisex one. Strongly recommend and I'd go as far as to say it is a safe blind buy for people who really adore the smell of coffee.

Mocha Latte with hazelnut. The smell is rich, smooth and addictive. This one surprised me it's closer to a mocha latte than straight up coffee and smells differently in the air and close up. In the air it is much sweeter almost like caramel but up close it smells much darker and more like roasted beans. I love coffee scents like Ferragamo Uomo and A*Men and this is right up the alley. It's rich decadent, chocolatey and performs okay. Projection is very strong in first hour and I can see this leaning unisex.

Wow! FINALLY a delicious realistic coffee scent that isn't being combined with heavy contestant scents (like lavender, rose, jasmin or cardamom) that ruins everything. Gourmand Coffee let's that creamy delicious fresh made coffee scent be in the lead and IT IS AMAZING! If you love the scent of coffee, dark chocolate and creamy gourmands please try this. Can imagen it layers beautifully. I'm stocking up ☕️☕️☕️

This one surprised me! I usually don't go for such 'full-bodied' sweet scents, but this is a very pleasant tiramisu-like coffee scent on me. It is sweet and creamy, but the fairly realistic coffee aroma grounds it. Descent longevity, I mainly use this at home to cozy up under a blanket with a book, feels like being in a coffee shop with tasty desserts. Fantastic for the price, a real treat.

This has an almost identical coffee scent as my beloved Vanille Mokha by Comptoir Sud Pacifique (sadly discontinued) without the vanilla note. Very straightforward coffee with a hint of cocoa. No sugar. I am thinking of buying a backup bottle already. A must if you are a coffee fragrance lover. Potentially great for layering with other base note perfumes.

This is a serious contestant in the world of photorealistic coffee perfumes, like on the level of Theodoros Kalotinis' Coffee Addict! There's no annoying flowers or fruits in there, just a wonderful cup of coffee. It's certainly easier to procure than TK's perfume, let's hope it won't get discontinued after a few months!

This is a cup of black coffee with sugar, no milk, and with some boozy woodiness added. No unnecessary extras like musk, roses or whatsoever. It doesn't feel ascetic, it has everything it needs. Love the fragrance. The coffee note here is the same as the one in the discontinued L'or de Torrente edp.

It literally smells like coffee with a hint of something that “dirties” it, perhaps caramel, giving it a sweet edge. Probably the best Zara fragrance I own, and I own many. 10/10, Original, unique and somewhat artistic, a legit must-have if you love coffee. Congratulations to Zara, I'm impressed.

Amazing coffee scent, definitely recommend if you like the smell of coffee / subtle hints of cacao which i think is done very well ive had it on for about an hour now and it stays on nice. Wonderful job by zara probably the best in the line.

This one is a delicious copy of By the Fireplace, and it's also very similar to Bohemian Oud that Zara discountinued after one season. Great return, and in my opinion it is the best out of the four coffee fragrances in this series.

I just saw this release at Zara and was truly impressed by that initial burst of freshly brewed coffee note, which surprisingly lasted on my skin for a while. Do give it a sniff.

The scent is very similar to Tiramisu by Kalotinis. A distinct, sweet coffee note with good longevity and projection. Worth its price. Perfect for the autumn-winter season.

Absolutely gorgeous! Totally worth the price and it is unisex indeed. So gourmand, sexy, photorealistic. Makes you wanna bite your hand 😅

A really warm scent. Great unisex perfume, especially for the price point. It smells like a coffee but with a sweeter twist to it.

Smells like tiramisu or sweet milky coffee. Truly unisex, with great performance for the price, an excellent fragrance overall.

Smells like a straight-up mocha. One of my favourite coffee smells I've ever encountered. Lasts nicely too.

This smells the way a Pocket Coffee tastes, 1 to 1. I like it, but some people might not.

The opening kind of blows me away in how much it smells like realistic coffee. Like, pure dark coffee, very realistic. It’s not the kind of thing that you would often find in a lot of designer and well known fragrances – maybe more in the niche world that I’m not that much a part of. It’s equally impressive and like, part worrisome because it makes me wonder how wearable this will be. After all, I enjoy the smell of coffee, but have you ever spoken to someone that has coffee breath? I don’t want people to think that I’m giving them coffee breath, you know? In the dry down – which comes quickly – the coffee kind of settles down more, and you do get a more balanced out gourmand perfume. Still a very realistic coffee fragrance, certainly more than anything else I ever experienced. Wearable for sure, but I’m not sure if I would wear it to the office or outside. To me, this is more like a great, cozy fragrance to wear inside, on a cozy day in.

Safe blind by if you want sticky ambery coffee. Smells like a thin layer of coffee that’s been left in a cup overnight, without milk so no sour or spoiled note at all. Actually feels sticky on my wrist. I bet this will last forever on clothing. Definitely need more time with this beauty. It’s a slightly jammy, concentrated coffee scent. Not candied. No sugar. Just sticky from the amber note. Super safe blind buy. So glad i got it. Super cold weather, while wearing wool and cashmere. This is wonderful. I am not a gourmand lover but I’m happy to own this. There’s a faint woody note. Dark wood soaked in black coffee. This and the blush coffee are my favorites from this collection. Didn’t buy mango coffee because, no. The whipped coffee was/is horrific, smells like spoiled milk.

I was in love with this scent when i first tried it on at Zara. When I came home my mom said it smeels like cookies, from across the room. Then my boyfriend gifted it to me and I started wearing it daily. At first I was loving it, but then one day I sprayed it on my sweater and it made me so nauseous I had to change my clothes. After that day I stopped wearing it for a while, I just couldn't understand the sudden change. But after a while I started wearing it again and my friends kept complimenting me for it. It absolutely radiates from your skin and smells amazing to a lot of people. I personally do not think it smells like cookies, like my mom said. But it does smell sweet and very much like coffee.

as someone that has never been a fan of drinking coffee, i thought this perfume to be repulsive when i first tried it in store. however, after a complete impulse-buy, i now believe it's actually quite lovely. i understand that it might not suit everyone's taste as it is a completely overpowering coffee scent, but i would encourage you to at least give it a chance. it gets me so many compliments daily, surprisingly even on a hot summer day. i had never been fond of Zara perfumes as they mostly seemed like dupe attempts to me, but this might've just changed my mind about them.

My wife, who absolutely hates coffee and who rarely says anything about fragrance just said "wow, you smell nice!" :-D The opening is indeed a very realistic dark coffee and smells fantastic. Sadly after 30 minutes the coffee is almost gone and you're left with a pretty generic 'Zara vanilla' which is inoffensive, but pretty mid. The cynic in me says Zara pull the trick of it smelling great when you test it, probably whilst you're standing in line waiting to pay but then the quality drops when it dries down. Still, for 20eur it's a good buy.

This is a good fragrance for people who love the smell of coffee because it’s pretty spot on. It’s rich and delicious, smells exactly like fresh coffee with maybe a splash of chocolate. Very neutral, it’s not too masculine or feminine leaning. Is a good perfume for layering because it’s pretty simple and linear. Love it with gourmand vanilla or chocolate scents.

This is a perfect autumn scent, cozy for a sweater-weather kind of days. Hits you with straight up coffee and I will for sure set it aside for when it gets colder. The dry down on my skin was a surprise tho - resembles how an average halloween themed candle from TK Maxx smells like. Sweet, cozy, little nauseating. Like I said, autumn scent, lol

This is a very realistic espresso fragrance. I really should have purchased it but I almost never wear my Zara fragrances because they don't last very long on skin, regardless of how much I enjoy them. However, this would be great for layering over other gourmand scents like Silky Woods, or Bianco Latte, or even lactonic fragrances.

It smells like a caramel latte it claims to smell like coffee and it really does smell like coffee, a great scent for an affordable perfume If you want to wear a latte scent, it's a great choice and long-lasting. Update: After washing my wrist where I tested the perfume, it started smelling like potato chips 😕 Very disturbing

This smells like a realistic café. Like if you had ordered a caramel machiato and a croissant. It is delicious BUT in moderation. If you wear it too much you get really tired of it. And it also has that headachy factor that all Zara fragances have. So It is good if you use it in special ocasions.

Very realistic coffee. Stunning release from zara, quality is insane. Gets sweeter as it progresses, I wish it stayed as that photorealistic coffee profile it has at the top. Performance is STRONG, its also unisex, though quite heavy Smells like D&G devotion pour homme without the citrus

overall a very solid fragrance; long lasting, pretty realistic and not synthetic. not super sweet either so it's 100% unisex in my opinion. I would layer it with choco musk or a vanilla body spray to sweeten it up but that's just my taste.

Start with bitter coffee & chocolate, strong and warm. After becoming more sweet sugar vanilla coffee. Best coffee perfume from Zara and at this price range.

On my skin I get 8h of solid performance. It is just a straight up coffee note, less creamy than the other of the same collection but the best imo.

Best budget coffee fragrance imo. Although it has no cake notes from the note breakdown, I smelled like a coffee cake wearing this fragrance!

I was really excited to get this as I loooove coffee scents (my favourites being d'annam's Vietnamese Coffee and Mancera's Amore Caffe). This is really cheap option so I was hyped. Upon first spraying, I got an immediate, but short-lived coffee scent. Quite sweet and about what i expected. However, that only lasted about 5 minutes, if even that. Afterward, I felt like the amberwood was extremely strong. i didn't smell any coffee or sweetness. I even resprayed on a tissue a few times, wondering if there was alcohol solution or something in the spray that just needed to get out and the gourmand-ness would be there. Nope. I was really disappointed (though for £20, it's not terribly upsetting), but after about 30 or so minutes, the amberwood seemed chill out and a ....sorta coffee/chocolate/latte sort of smell came out a bit. The amberwood is definitely still there though and I feel like it's more prominent than the coffee or chocolate the whole way through. I think this is a safe blind buy if you like coffee woody scents as it's cheap. I spend more on 5ml decants that i spray once and never again than this. However, I'm just not getting the coffee-forward scent everyone else is smelling. And I'd say there's nothing particularly gourmandy about it. Smells straight up, unapologetically woody to me. Very unisex, in my opinion. Possibly even slightly more masculine. Winter/fall scent for sure. Sillage seems fairly close though not a skin scent.

I like it. I think. See, I love gourmand perfumes and with the name, I kind of expected it to smell like my morning coffee - strong and horribly sweet. It is not that. It smells like a coffee scrub with maybe half a teaspoon of sugar in it. The initial hit is sweet but it dries down into a screechy scent. I don't know how best to describe it. It lacks that creamy base that makes you lean in! I don't get any chocolate from it. I will be using to layer as I have not smelled something so...coffee smelling but I wanted some milky base and it lacks it. Lasted 5 hours on skin, haven't tried on clothing. Bottle is cute I don't regret buying but very linear.

This was not a planned buy, I liked how it smelled on me after coming home from the store. However, now I feel it is a bit sintetic, specially it is felt during season which is not winter. Otherwise, very interesting gourmand, very sweet, coffee can be smelled, not too much but it is somewhat dominant, a bit better than average Zara perfume. Very good if layered with lactea divina to get some milkyness, or pure musk afnan, for neutral accords. For true gourmand lovers, it is amazing, better than kamrah lattafa for sure, it is similar family. Very good for layering!

The longevity is extremely poor, I mean 20 minutes max on clothes.

This might be the most spot on coffee fragrance I have encountered, its exactly what I have been hoping to find. Its so delicious sweet and milky while being full on coffee. In the initial spray there is a bit of the amberwood that makes it quite synthetic and not so great to smell but it settles down into literally the perfect cup of coffee to me. Update: Ive had it macerating for 3 weeks and it is much better now, not nearly as synthetic but much more blended. It now reminds me alot of Al Rehab's French Coffee but much more elevated and wearable, and with a longer lasting coffee note. I like it.

I just cant get over the base notes when it is hours into wear, it makes me repulsed. I wore it to sleep and woke up gagging. Its a very unnatural note at the base so I have had to let this go.

This stench made me violently nauseous. I couldn't wait to get home, run to the shower and scrub it off. The second I stopped smelling it, the world was nice again. This shit smells so damn bitter and putrid. Yeah, at first it does resemble coffee, the nausea kicked in like ~20 minutes later and it just kept getting worse. If I wanted to ruin someone's day, I'd secretly spray this shit all over their jacket.

My skin chemistry might be different because I absolutely hate the way this smells on my skin. 10%coffee 90% vanilla but somehow Zara’s vanilla smells fowl on me. If you hate the other vanillas from Zara, this is not for you. Great longevity, I literally scrubbed it off my hand and still could smell it. Silage good as well.
