Green Savage

If I were to describe the scent, I would think of Y Le Parfum with the blue vibe of Sauvage removed, leaving a scent that is airy, simple, and linear. The most prominent notes are lavender mixed with citrus, creating a perfectly blended fragrance that is sweet, refreshing, and effervescent. A word of caution when using this scent: it is not very suitable for hot weather (temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius) or for exercising. The sweet notes can become overwhelming in such conditions, and the citrus that once blended perfectly with the sweetness can be completely overshadowed. Therefore, I believe it is not very suitable for hot weather.

Those bashing performance of this one against the original must have a brain injury issue. Two sprays of LeParfum on left vs two of Green Savage on right wrist, LeParfum lasted 10% longer at best, and what was left is just powdery base note. On the other hand, accuracy of Green Savage is not spot on, there are some obvious notes, complexity, and citrus quality differences. Having in mind i paid 12€ for 100ml in Spain, i'll rock this thing like crazy. Nothing wrong with it.

Had this for a while. Very good for the price. People say it's for summer but I disagree, it's good both for summer/spring and fall/winter. I have no idea why the night/winter rating is so low, it's very versitale for the price

YSL Y "Le Parfum" with extra freshness ! This is very soapy, like a luxurious hotel soap bar ! Fresh, clean fragrance ! Longevity is good with 7 sprays !

I genuinely believe this is one of the most underrated fragrances out there. However, it also has one of the worst longevity a perfume can have.

Reminds me of Bleu, especially in the dry down!! This is a fantastic cheapie, just gotta spray more of it...

A wild green? Y Le Parfum 2021? Or something original? This is a somewhat strange review for me, since it's a perfume I used a lot for a while, but I could never quite put my finger on what it was, and I had to go back and use it again to get a clearer picture. Green Savage is a herbal and citrus perfume, slightly aldehydic. It's difficult to describe its notes, as the olfactory pyramid has a different structure everywhere, so I'll offer my perspective based on my own experience: The opening features a sparkling and neutral bergamot, which accompanies the lavender, the true protagonist. This lavender is synthetic and somewhat spicy, but it's neither a classic barbershop lavender nor a contemporary sweet lavender. It's a purely herbal and slightly soapy lavender, with a subtle metallic undertone. Towards the end, the perfume settles into a white floral base, probably jasmine, accompanied by the aforementioned metallic note and a restrained, earthy patchouli, not sweet, but rather with a touch of damp earth. The mental image it conjures up is rather curious, because I can imagine a concrete path surrounded by freshly mowed grass, while water sprinklers cool the air all around. There's the herbal, the metallic, the soapy, and the spicy, all in a single combination: an effervescent, vibrant, and athletic scent. I see that several people compare it to the Y line, mainly Le Parfum. I think Green Savage forges its own path, only modestly borrowing that lavender and that rounded, synthetic scent style from the Y line, but without being a direct clone. Le Parfum strikes me as darker and more assertive, while Green Savage is lighter and less ambitious. The other Y fragrances aren't even part of the conversation, because they're more fruity. Green has a different goal: to be an alternative within Zara, a Zara increasingly filled with sweet and honeyed scents. I think Green Savage is the only purely herbal perfume fully available at Zara; there are hardly any herbal concepts in Zara's men's fragrance line currently (excluding special releases and discontinued items). It's a youthful, effervescent, different, synthetic scent that lasts a mere four hours, projecting at a moderate level for an hour, and then becoming a skin scent. The perfume certainly isn't formal; it's more for casual wear, mainly for warm weather, for a quick trip anywhere, like buying bread. It's a 2/4 without much fanfare, although it's appreciated that it's a slightly different fragrance from Zara. The performance is very weak, especially considering the brand already has a wide range of moderately projected perfumes. This particular fragrance does overuse synthetic notes at times, and finally, Green doesn't stand out for its evolution. It's a fairly well-rounded fragrance that starts and ends almost the same way, with very little variation from the opening to the dry down. I only recommend it if you like herbal and synthetic perfumes. If that's not your style, I doubt it will appeal to you. Outside of Zara, you can find better options in the same price range—herbal, fresh, and affordable—such as Blue For Men by Rasasi.

This one kind of surprised me. I was at a friend's house coincidentally wearing YSL Y EDP, and he let me try this and I was genuinely confused for a second, as it smells so close to it. YSL has more of an apple-juniper-leaning sweetness, whereas this one has a sweeter bergamot note. (In the very immediate opening, it does have some similiarity to Sauvage due to the fresh, spicy, bergamot; so I get what some are saying.) Zara have also fairly captured that fresh aromatic middle accord, and the coumarin sweetness in the drydown. On skin it doesn't last too long — gone in 2 hours, maybe less. Literally gone — not even a skin scent. Definitely lasts longer on clothes. Considering the price, I think the composition is great; yet brought down by low skin performance. ✅Good

Esto no huele ni cerca a Dior Sauvage. Esta es una fragancia tipo fougere, que confunde porque en la salida (y creo que es realmente su mejor momento) es bastante cítrica, y casino se perciben las notas herbales. Sin embargo ya los 20 minutos comienza a establecerse su verdadero carácter verde y terroso, y a los 30 minutos ya se consolida como lo que realmente es. (Y no tiene nada que ver con dior sauvage). Duración: 6/10 (bastante promedio) Proyección: 2/10 (muy débil)

This is such a pleasant scent for a "cheapie" fragrance. The blend of notes fits my taste for what I'd like for a signature fragrance. Unfortunately, I know i'm not going to get good performance or a high quality ingredients such but I still like it. I try to spray it on clothes only, as on skin it gets too synthetic for me. Overall, I like the note blend and value for the price. I'll be looking for a niche version of this. Cheers!

To my nose this is just that typical sweet Invictus DNA that Zara has copied a million times, with some incense and some green vibes added to it. It's versatile and great for daily use. Performance is OK if you (over)spray on clothes. Has absolutely nothing to do with Sauvage. Just another OK Zara cheapie. I enjoy wearing it, though. Perfect dumb reach.

Very woody and citrusy. Opens with a harsh synthetic scent which then fades to a pleasant citrus scent. Reminds me a lot of Pino Silvestre especially Perfect Gentleman with the citrus/woody notes. Longevity is not great, maybe 2-3 hours.

Why has someone voted up the similarity to Sauvage? This is a freshie, not a dark blue monster. Citrus and a hint of sweetish green. Not raw or “savage” by any means. It’s okey but nothing to write home about.

Reminds me of Aqua Profumo a little bit, sweet, nice cologne. Zara colognes are all worth the price.

Not mindblowing, but for the price it's okey. Longevity and sillage are moderate - bad.

Powder Laundry Detergent + Cheap Incense Stick. Triggers some kind of mild allergic reaction every once in a while. It's so bad. Currently being used as an air freshener, incense does mask away some odors successfully.

It does not smell like sauvage at all despite the name. Very synthetic cedar / lavender scent with low sillage and longievity, a foul release from Zara. Again, it has nothing to do with sauvage.

Wanted to love this one so badly. It smells great, like a simplified and juicier version of YSL Y Parfum. Lasts about 15 minutes though. It actually pisses me off, Green Savage is completely undetectable after an hour, and becomes a skin scent after 15 minutes.

Longevity is about 12 nanoseconds. I went and asked for a refund. F zara at this point

I've been told, even after hours of applying, that my perfume smells a lot. I don't know how, maybe couple of years standing more than half full have done some magic. Longevity in my case isn't a problem, YSL Y type of smell is what I can put up with only ocasionally. I got it as a gift and as usual, when you don't care about something, it somehow gets noticed the most.

Wow these Zara perfumes are nice! This is for sure a green scent, but not a savage one. It's fresh and it makes me happy. You don't smell much Lavender in men's perfume nowadays :(

It is a fresh, "serviceable" fragrance if you want to smell for a little while like a glass of Sprite, hand soap, and deodorant.

Starts of with those unique notes then settles down to a no show!
