In Tulum

Fizzes are great drinks in the morning. They should be drunk as soon as they are ready because they lose their flavour quickly. One of the first references to Gin Fizz in print appeared in the newspaper “Star Tribune” of Minneapolis in 1879. In the following years, two variants of the drink were born: Silver Gin Fix, which included egg white, and Golden Gin Fizz, which used egg yolk. Fizz’s success resulted from its evolution from Fix, a drink already in vogue in the first half of the 19th century. The Fix had a simple but effective structure: an alcoholic base, lemon juice, sugar, ice and dilution with water. Hence, the Fizz replaced plain water with soda, making the drink sparkling and refreshing. And nose Jerome Epinette used some of the key ingredients in this cocktail to create the lively and bubbly opening of Vibrant Leather In Tulum. Let’s deep dive into the cologne. In Tulum opens with a roar rich in citrus and spicy undertones, the mix of oil from the yellow lemon rind and the juice dripping from the freshly roughly chopped ginger root gives a fresh and sparkling breath. It almost feels like sipping a ginger lemon fizz that features a spirit along with citrus and sparkling water. If it sounds like a sour plus soda, that’s because it is. But the initial aroma is all too tart, and I think some berry leaves take part in the opening stage while a hint of bergamot plays in the background. Hence, In Tulum initial stage is harsh, fresh, and damn citrus, but that should not discourage you because a lot of changes are just around the corner. Slowly, the sharp citrus accord fades, and the fragrance improves. A fruity nuance of unripe pineapple, not too sweet or cloying, announces a first change, which I associate with the beginning of the heart. I feel a hint of watermelon, but nothing too exasperated calone, just a touch of aquatic atmosphere. Instead, the acid intensity of the exotic pineapple intertwines with a smooth, smoky, dry, not too animalic leather, with a slightly dirty cut, perhaps with a hint of modern, refined, clean patchouli. As time goes by, the musky accords come into play as the citrusy accords fade away completely, but the smoky pineapple note remains the dominant theme of the perfume. In me, the middle phase is fruity, smoky, and pleasantly leathery. In the drydown, In Tulum takes another turn and becomes musky and salty. The leathery accord of the heart takes on an earthy musk edge with a hint of saltiness, as if oakmoss and ambergris were secret ingredients that emerge in the base. There is also a pleasant woodiness, always with a slight smokiness. The dry birch and oakmoss notes give it that profile and keep it from being too juicy a fruit scent type. It has a noticeably dry smell, but that smokiness increases later in the drying period. In Tulum is a juicy, deep, musky, and dry scent with a lot of character. This closure creates a flawless finish, intertwining the smell with an intimate, musky scent and a subtle touch of masculinity. Among "Vibrant Cities In St Tropez | Zara", "Vibrant Cities In Tulum | Zara", and "Vibrant Cities in Fiji | Zara", this is the closest to Vibrant Leather. Let the top notes vanish and the OG smoky pineapple will shine. I enjoy wearing it in the early spring or autumn morning. I feel the air temperature and humidity levels are the best for this scent during those seasons. As I mentioned before, that period during the dry down, the crisp and dry woods, evokes those thoughts of being outdoors on a fall day. This cologne is the weakest of the three, with mediocre performances, half a day in the best condition. Nonetheless, I cherish the overall smell and the nuances of each stage. Perhaps, do not blind buy it if you already have "Vibrant Leather (Eau de Toilette) | Zara" or "Vibrant Leather (Eau de Parfum) | Zara" as they smell practically the same. I was lucky to find 2 bottles of in Tulum for a great price. I like vibrant leather because is more polish and refined than CDNI. It is fresher than the original vibrant leather. In Tulum reminds me a lot to Aventus Cologne. This is more a day scent, and later in the evening you can wear Vibrant Leather OG, and keep the same DNA. People complain about VL for their longevity. Spoiler alert: Creed fragrances are not beast mode either. On my skin, VL OG has an average longevity. In Tulum, longevity is above average, and projects better. Surprising for a freshie. It’s getting hard to find since is no longer available. Don’t pay and arm and a leg on eBay. If you find this for $30-$40 range, that’s more reasonable. Just remember, Aventus Cologne is over $300 You will get closer to that by paying 10% and the quality is great.

finally something refreshing and different, opens quite citrusy, then settles on a non-smoked version of aventus, I can't find watermelon and not even much sea but a cocktail in a white linen shirt with a tan on a walk in Capri. The performances are excellent in my opinion. 8/10

Zara often surpises you from time to time with high quality fragrance. This one is amazing for summer, its like watermelon lemonade, super fresh and perfect for high heat days. I was surprised that it lasted around 5 hrs, which is great for the price tag.
