Inestimable Santal Perfume Oil

This was a blind buy as there was no tester in the store. I also bought "Vanille et oud" but I much prefer this one. Exactly what I was looking for — a cosy scent for the cooler weather for a no-perfume-perfume-day (i.e. working from home days but still want to smell nice). I love wearing this before bed, I know, it's weird but a few fragrance influencers do this too. Lovely gourmand-y clean scent and the sweet sandalwood comes to play after the dry down, i suppose oil doesn't really "dry" but you know what I mean. It's a skin scent for me and last about 4 hours with this cold weather right now but definitely a likable scent and agree with seltzerpapi, it's a great office and blind-buy safe.

Bought this on a whim and love it to death. It is such a warm and cozy scent without being offensive. Typically I wear this scent after bathing for the evening. It is very intimate and a scent to go to sleep with. I truly regret not buying this oil sooner. When I went back to Zara it was gone. Hoping they re-release this scent as a perfume.

A comforting mild, milky sandalwood skin scent with low projection so its for me, myself and I and that's good enough for me!

This is milky cardamom with its particular light nutty sweetness mixed into warm essential oil “dry”sandalwood base. Unisex, slightly leaning masculine. Sheer, and unintrusive. Like a very toned down and very diluted Intoxicated by Kilian, which is quite intense, much more masculine, and far more intricate. Layering them or under Black Phantom, makes Inestimable Santal a good choice for increasing their longevity without overspraying. For now though, I found it working great with Zara’s Warm Freedom - you can test them together in the store. Also wore it under a drop of Nu by YSL. A match made in Heaven.

Sweet, but not overly. Cosy, milky, gentle, sophisticated scent. Moderate performance. Great value. Love it!

Zara would have done better to sell these as 3ml without the carrier oil than as 15ml with it. I got this from a reseller, as part of a lot. Santal was the only one with *no* discernible smell. It’s not even like some skin musks which apply mild and then reveal themselves in the drydown. (Like Nemat “Amber” or CPOs with a touch of Javanol.) This one has no smell to speak of. Don’t waste your time on this. The whole line is underwhelming with performance, but Zara was stingy on even the synthetic sandal aromachemicals here.

As someone with a frag allergy on my skin, I wish this was a edp so I could spray it on my clothing. I can’t put straight oil onto my clothing.

Tested it in a Zara store on my skin today. It is a nice, clean, somewhat sweet sandalwood scent. I like it, it feels very approachable but not boring. Especially if a man were to wear this then I'd say he would stand out. There are some feminine fragrances that have a similar profile so it might feel less unique on a woman. I'd call it unisex leaning slightly feminine. The performace isn't anything out of this world. Projection is very low for the whole duration of the scent. Longevity was about 4 hours on my skin on a winter day. Maybe it would perform better if you applied it liberally or in warmer weather. If it weren't for the poor performance then I would recommend it. I honestly expected better performance from the Zara oils.

Wow--this is a cozy skin scent. Sweet, soft and dry sandalwood that lingers as a skin scent. The sillage/projection/longevity are typical Zara quality, but I'm impressed with this one. I am looking forward to trying this one for layering with other scents too. Update: Now that I've worn this for a few weeks, I wanted to share that I find Inestimable Santal very similar to Sage's Pearl scent, if this helps anyone understand the scent better before purchasing!
