Iris Veil

So let me start by saying that I love this scent. But I don't think it is like Glossier You. To me, Glossier You smells like the pages of a glossy magazine. A bit starchy and softly floral but more like paper. Iris Veil has none of that. To me it is first and foremost a gourmand. The strongest note to me is the marshmallow, then the iris. I can smell the woody base but it's not super strong. Sweetness is what comes through most. I would say this is almost closer to something like Princess by Killian than Glossier You. Maybe even Kayali YBM. Definitely smells marshmallowy to me with a hint of powdery iris. But absolutely lovely all the same.

Just bought this bc I read it's a Glossier You dupe. I've only smelled You when a friend was wearing it so I'm not the most realiable source, but the dry down of this is identical to what my friend was wearing that day. When you first spray it it's mostly iris and pear, even though the pear is not listed. For me, it has a similar vibe to English Pear and Freesia from Jo Malone, like they don't smell the same but they're vibing in the same wavelength, I don't know... So, Iris Veil: very cutesy, very demure, clean girl vibes, very soft. Love it!!

I’ve not put my nose on the Glossier, however someone in the below review said the Glossier reminded them of the pages of a glossy magazine and you know what in this Zara EDP I am getting the glossy magazine vibes, it’s giving clean, classy and got your sh*t together vibes, very feminine and soft. I’m not getting marshmallows in the dry down, and after an hour it’s still projecting from two tentative test sprays on my arm, although I purchased a mature bottle from a FB fragrance group I’m in so maybe that helps but I really really like this!

Stunning! I bought on the spot after testing this in Zara on a whim. It’s classy violet, hint of sweetness with feminine powder puff. The earthy iris is not as prominent as the candid violets but it’s fresh and clean, not headache inducing sweet. The light woods underneath just prevent it from being too young or candied. It’s a lighter less peppery Glossier, although not listed im positive there is a slight ambrox note. Definitely a skin smell it’s very light but stays well on clothes. Beautiful purple fragrance I hope this stays at Zara!

This one is lovely! It's a modern iris with a hint of sweetness. Very similar to another Zara fragrance – A Perfume in Rose – and also to Glossier You. If Glossier You was too peppery for you, try this one instead! It stays close to the skin, but I still catch whiffs of it when I move, for about four hours. Update, 05/2026: The marshmallow note has got much sweeter. Too sweet for me unfortunately. Right now I would classified this fragrance as a floral gourmand.

After a heady floral first few seconds that was unexpected, Glossier's You without the pink pepper comes in and then it becomes more candied (riding right on the verge of being too sweet), and the (peony?) florals come out a bit more again, and slight bit of soft wood. It smells like a floral perfume I can't place mixed with Glossier You, minus the pepper and sharper woods. Lasts a VERY long time on my skin, and only changed slightly after the above.

I bought it because I like Íris candy-like, slightly powdery to be exact, this was a blind-buy success and during BF nice deal

I was looking for a soft, delicate, powdery, and clean scent, something versatile for those days when you don't feel very inspired but don't want to renounce to smell good. In my search, the main result was: Glossier You, without a doubt. Only positive reviews. But, there's a problem: Glossier You is not available in my country. Crying. So. Hard. When I almost forgot I was looking for a fragrance like this, a girl on TikTok said that this fragrance was very similar to Glossier You. I decided to buy it blind. So I'm going to review this fragrance without knowing what Glossier You actually smells like. And without making comparisons between them. The first sniff is kind of unisex. Very soft, powdery, as the minutes went by, the peony and the fluffy marshmallows stand out ✨️ This gives way to the blonde woods, which compliment perfectly the scent. It is a well done fragrance, the dry down it is the best part, floral, delicate, soft, feminine, perfect for everyday, a scent that cannot bother anyone because is so pleasant. Definitely a safe blind purchase. I am so happy with this new scent in my collection! 🫧🫧🫧

Girls on TikTok were talking about how this perfume is a dupe for Glossier You. Didn't think twice and added it to my shopping cart without testing it on my skin first. I wouldn't call it an exact dupe, but it has a similar powdery iris and clean-skin vibe. It is Zara, so you get what you pay for with the longevity as it fades pretty fast. But for the price, I just keep the bottle in my bag and overspray it all day without feeling guilty.

I love the DNA of Missing Person/Glossier You. Warm-musky your-skin-but-better DNA is not that present here, the sweetness of the opening, which - on my skin - only very slightly disappears in the drydown, makes it too youthful for me. I’m 33 btw. The sweetness is lovely tho, it reminds me very much of the fluffy powdery sweetness of Dama Bianca. It’s very light and airy. A nice intimate perfume.

I discovered my love to iris note because of this i never thought I’d ever like it the combination with marshmallow with it gives me an innocent calming sensation however for me it’s a day morning scent or even before sleep but not for a special occasion or fun it’s calming silky and smooth I honestly enjoy it and would buy it again wehn I visit Zara store again

It has similar vibes to Glossier You, Glossier You Fleur, God is a woman, Mod Vanilla and Kayali Wedding Silk Santal. I like it, it is good for everyday. But the performance and staying power is really bad.

Has a warm, woody and powdery feeling to it. I wonder if its just me but I dont think it lasted more than half an hour.

I solely bought it because I saw online reviews that is a dupe for Glossier You. Since A Perfume In Rose was EXACTLY You, and perhaps better, it made sense to me that they re-launched it after it got discontinued. But no. Yes, the similarity is obvious, but its indeed quite earthy and masculine like some other reviewers said, and it has a sweet almost vanilla-ish dry down. I guess peoople who say its similar to Glossier, never tried A perfume in Rose, which is what Zara should bring back asaaaaap. If I had tried it and didn't blind buy, I doubt that I would have bought it.

wasn’t sure how this would smell like as i purchased this blindly. however, this perfume gives earthy floral vibe. I feel like it smells masculine on me , just my opinion. Wouldn’t say this is my favorite tbh. The dry down does smell a bit sweeter. Overall not too bad , probably wouldn’t go for this as much.

i love iris notes, and I don't really smell Iris. This has a sweet candy smell in the beginning that i do not like, there is violet at this stage. Once its drying down the blond woods come out. I enjoy the drydown. It's in my car for on the go.

very alcoholic semi-floral opening with a marshmallow note that’s way heavier than it needs to be. painfully generic. it smells like your “cool” older cousin in 2018 not unpleasant but just lacking any real personality or originality

This smells much more gourmand than powdery to me. If you want a light fresh out the shower marshmallow perfume, this might be good for you. I am on my powdery perfume hunt now, so this sadly does not fit that.

It was almost good— but too marshmallowy. Was expecting a more powdery clean smell but this is more gourmand. Just not for me but I’m sure a lot of people would like this.

I smell mostly pear with violet. It's so flat I can only see this as a layering scent.
