Les Heures Passent (Into The Joyful)

This is such a beautiful bergamot-lemon citrus, with hints of ginger. Pretty photorealistic. I don't really get any mandarin, which is listed on the packaging. Very impressive performance -- especially for a citrus at this price point. It's simple and mostly linear, with an eventual drydown where you can smell how it's grounded by creamier tonka, amber, and a bit of musk. But to me it's almost entirely about the bergamot, lemon, and a little ginger. One of my favorites in the line. Bought the full 100ml for $36 and it's definitely worth it. Will be a staple summer citrus.

LOVE this scent! I bought it in Singapore, finished half the bottle a year later travelled to Europe looking in any Zara I could go to, and they don't sell it anymore! Also read in the reviews (thanks all!) that its similar to "Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes" but this is not selling anymore either. I've since managed to get another bottle from a forum.. but.. using it sparingly! I live in an extremely hot and humid climate, this perfume does not last long, but it is a great spray for a refresher through the day!

Agree with oli4db, this and Sunrise on The Red Sand Dunes are identical. I can't smell the difference between each other, and quite frankly, this last a bit longer than Sunrise on The Red Sand Dunes. A lot of people tend to smell the different maybe because this marketed towards woman, so it seems like they smell more a floral/feminine notes on this but imho, this is same juice but different bottle. Picked this up for $22 and I don't regret a single penny spent on this bad boy.

This one is interesting and one of my favourites front this collection. It reminds me of Ingenious Ginger by Goldfield & Banks for sure. But like most citrusy scent this one is the most fleeting of the collection, definitely helps to increase longevity if you layer it with Blanc-a-Porter from the same collection. It’s a joyful, optimistic spring/summer scent.

Yes, Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes & Les Heures Passent (both from Zara) smell identical. Both are very similar to LV’s Imagination, maybe a 75-80% likeness. I used to love Sunrise & LHP both equally, that is until Zara came up with Sunrise Intense, making a great fragrance even better!! LHP went on 50% off back in 2024 and I rushed to stock up.

This is a wonderful zesty, refreshing ginger, musky scent. I'm not normally into musky perfumes but the musky dry down in this is just so clean and comforting. Highly complimented scent as well. Moderate projection but surprisingly long lasting on me/my skin, which does not happen often. I hope they won't discontinue it though.

If you love this as I do and you can’t find it nowhere now, try “Art of Arabia I Lattafa Perfumes” it is very similar almost identical. I was very happy to find an alternative. Try it you won’t regret it!

The smell is amazing. The only thing is that it does not last long. I feel like ebony wood and this one are the best Zara fragrances

The scent is similar to Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes, only slightly more feminine. Les Heures Passent smells like Zara poured Sunrise into new bottles, then added some tonka in the base to sweeten the scent more and make it marketable to women. There are some differences, Les Heures Passent is lighter, more ethereal, more delicate and sweeter but it is 90% Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes. The beginning is very citrus and ginger, the ginger nicely softens the sharpness of the lemon and bergamot, the tonka adds sweetness and the musk introduces a bit of a clean, soapy character. A nice, refreshing thing for the summer, although for me the women's version is a bit too ethereal and fleeting, Sunrise is better. Longevity is not terrible for a new product, but the projection is quiet and very delicate. A very light, clean, citrus-musky scent with the addition of creamy ginger and a touch of sweet tonka. Unisex but due to its delicacy it leans towards women. 8/10

Louminous and clean citrus cocktail on sexy amber and musk. Clean, clean, clean!! And louminous too. It is extremely zesty, the opening almost came forward like grapefruit. The meeting of lemon and bergamot is not mellow this time (as in other Zara fragrances) but very bitter and pungent. Yet ginger softens everything beautifully, in here it smells very clear and tea like, not rooty or earthy at all. The amber and the musk gift to the scent a very sexy and sophisticated base, reminiscent strongly of the base in Zara Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, but in here there is a layer of tonka that enriches the smell further, not too sweet nor too intense. Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes remains more floral, creamy and ambery though. This is a summer fragrance for sure. Simple, clean and louminous. Optimistic and with an intimate component in the dry down.

Basically a lighter, bit more floral and fresh take on Zara's Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, honestly without comparing the two side by side I could have been tricked into thinking that this was just Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes but rebottled. Sunrise seems to have a darker, ambery base which lets it last longer on my skin; both are great offerings from the house. Was able to get 100ml on sale for $20 CAD off the Zara website and at that price (+$2.50 shipping) it was a no-brainer!

This opens with a really strong citrus burst. with a slight, almost peppery undertone. I don’t know why exactly, but after an hour or two this reminds me a fair bit of Vetiver pamplemousse from the emotions line. It has that similar kind of sharp citrus vibe to it. Longevity is proving to be fairly good so far. Four hours later and I can still smell it on me, albeit a bit more subdued than before. Not a bad thing as it’s really strong at first. Over sprayers beware, lol.

Does anyone remember Elizabeth Arden Green Tea from back in the day? I have trouble really enjoying this fragrance because all I am getting is middle school flashbacks to Green Tea. I think Les Heurs Passent is maybe a little more complex, but it blares bergamot/lemon in an identical way. I pick up the musk and ginger, but I can't find the tonka bean at all. Avoid if you have a relationship with Green Tea, but other than that it's a nice citrusey light option.

This is actually one of the few summer fragrances that I truly enjoy. Surprisingly, it lasts quite a while, especially considering it's from Zara. What's interesting is that it evolves throughout the day, and the base notes bring to mind Greenwich Village by Bond No. 9. All in all, it's a fantastic scent, and the price point makes it a real steal.

A nice fragrance for summer. Everytime i wear it i get compliments so probably the sillage is good however i cant really smell it on myself. Opening is a nice ginger scent and the drydown turns into a bit powdery. Worth to buy the full size! Longevity on me is surprisingly great 6+ hours and i could still smell it on my clothes the next day!

When you first spray it is very sharp to the nose. After 5 minutes it's really beautiful and relaxing! I get a lot of chamomile even though there is none listed. It smells like a really beautiful chamomile, lempn and ginger infusion! Super pretty!

Somehow I smell fig leaves, I knew that was a familiar scent to me, because I had the Hermès' Un Jardin en Mediterranée. On my skin it felt more fresh, citrusy and balanced, and less woody. Very pleasant and quite durable for a Zara perfume.

Classic cologne style. Predominantly breezy, green citrus/bergamot. Nothing new, but lovely and natural smelling. One of my favorite scents from this line. Similar style to fragrances from Atelier des Ors Riviera collection.

If you find this scent fleeting, spray on clothes. I get over 12 hrs on clothes. I pick up the shirt I wore the day before and its overwhelming how much its still projecting.

Tonka bean and ginger mixed beautifully. Warm musky clean smelling. Lasts very long. I will miss this scent. I almost finished my bottle .

Really close to Zara Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes but made fresher, more lemony and without the creaminess of Red Sand Dunes.

It's spicy and fresh at first. The drydown is very natural, a cool, fresh perfume. it's like you just took a shower.

Great winter scent.. one of the few bottles that I finished up.

It's not dissimilar to Sunrise Over The Sand Dunes... but it's not the same either. To me, this is the lighter, more feminine version with the addition of citrus blossom (not listed but definitely present!), as well as the sunshine-y citrus/ginger combo, but has nowhere near the lasting power of Sunrise which is anchored by a resinous ambery base. Les Heures Passent doesn't have the same depth but instead is lighter and "prettier", very fresh and effervescent, slightly soapy in the drydown. I don't really get any of the base notes in here either, no discernible tonka or amber, just the bright sparkly citrus opening and a very light soapy musk. I only get 2-3 hours max out of this and very little projection. It's a pleasant enough summer freshie but, out of the two, I much prefer Sunrise Over The Sand Dunes.

Strong lemony-bergamot ginger, quickly fleeting to nothing. Refreshing, but I found it boring and not sophisticated enough to wear it for any other occasion than for a quick office post errand.

I bought this blind, after hearing reviews online that it was the best of the new Zara range. I'm pretty disappointed though. I expected ginger and spices to lift the citrus but instead its like sipping a cup of lemon and ginger tea. It has what Zara describes as 'sparkling' and 'fizzy' lemon but to me it was reminiscent of dishwashing detergent. No aldehydes mentioned, but I find it quite aldehydic. 5/10.

I finally found a Zara I truly hate. I tried it both on myself and my husband. I think it smells a little better on him, but it still is giving me a headache. I am trying to scrub it off my wrist, and it is not budging. I wish I could say it was okay since it was a blind buy. It seems to have high reviews. Even if I wasn't repelled by the intensity and strong smell. I would say it was boring and not worth wearing. Maybe it is just my skin, I think it's awful. Maybe it's the ginger note. It's hard to run away from your own arm.

So interesting that, even though this is EXACTLY the same as Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes, the fact that this version is marketed to women and Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes to men, we seem to smell differences between them which shows us the power of marketing and labeling. But trust me, there are none ! This is ,as ZARA often does, just an other packaging of the same perfume ,just marketed to women. I have both standing in front of me, even the color is the same. Sprayed one of each on each hand and the opening, etc are exactly the same. This said, I love this perfume and it's freshness it emanates , just the sprayer on this version is really crappy compared to Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes and it's because of this more wider sprayer with a thinner mist on Les Heures Passent that people find it softer, more delicate, because the perfume is more diffused on the skin, in a thinner vail, so less 'potent'. but that is the only 'difference' that there is.

Unlike anything in my collection. It opens as a bright, young ginger, freshly pulled from the earth and scrubbed to remove the still greenish skin. It mellows to a soft soapy ginger. I don’t perceive any tonka here, but it may be used to mellow the sharpness. The fragrance doesn’t have perceptible vanillic or nutty leanings from coumarin. It’s bright, fresh, clean, without abrasiveness or astringency of more herbal aromatics.

Agree with previous reviewer "navigatorade" about the recemblance to Zara's Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes . And please, save your money. It's very bright and fresh from its lemon and ginger and settles a bit more creamy. Nice scent! BUT it doesn't last more than 20 min on the the skin. I would love to own this if it had a decent staying power!

very natural scent of candied ginger, or menthol/honey/lemon sorethroat candies. upon the first spray i'm not a fan, but since i bought it i'll have chances to retry it. i don't see it as a summer perfume at all, maybe more like a warm spicy cuddle for the winter, like a ginger honey tea

This doesnt feel so far off from something you could get from lush. Upon first spray i found it a bit overwhelming but as is settled down i found myself really enjoying the scent. Im not a fan of citrusy fragrances but i could make an exception for this one

Very well balanced ginger-citrus combination. Tonka bean makes it sweet yet not too much. It is very similiar to Kilian’s Playing with the devil. Bottle design is also good; so overall great by means of value/performance.

Seasons determine what notes you pick more in something. Definitely got more citrus and zingy ginger in the hot months. But i can pick more tonka and ginger flower as it is getting colder. Refreshing, sweet and crisp.

This is a. 1:1 of ingenious under by Goldfiled and Banks. I own both and have worn them side by side. 100% dupe, only that Ingenious Ginger lasts longer.

LV Imagination dupe, and a good one at that. I'll do a side by side one of these days and edit my review. Very long-lasting for Zara standards.

I haven't tried any mentioned perfumes here, but in my opinion this one reminds me of Tom Kha soup smell. I find it quite inconvenient.

I bought it online, I was expecting something fresh but it is too masculine, so I gave it to my husband.
