Love Explosion Special Edition

I had my eye on this for while. Rose Gourmand is one of my favorite perfumes of all time. Now, with BR540, my relationship has been complicated. Fell in love with it at a dupe store before I even knew what a big thing it was, and immediately purchased it, only to find out I either didn't smell it at all after I got home, or that it smelt of Betadine. Where were the notes I had fallen in love with at the store? The fruit, the amber, the woods, the moss? Was it my first encounter with the mysterious Ambroxan that killed the mix? I ended up giving it to my aunt. With Love Explosion, I sincerely hoped that the Rose Gourmand was the dominant one, but I also hoped the good elements of BR540 would shine through, and make RG a bit more wintery and sophisticated. I got exactly what I was hoping for! For me this is an elegant and more grown-up RG with all the elements of BR540 I loved, like the praline, the amber, and the moss. To be honest I have never smelt Red Temptation, so I don't know if I like it or not.

i blind bought this after i had seen multiple tiktoks explaining that this perfume is a head turner. i quickly went on here and checked the notes. i am not a big fan of rose scents, but it is cheap and i decided to take the leap. i was very surprised when i sprayed the perfume. it definitely smells like a sweet floral, but in a seductive way, almost like a sexy version of tutti frutti candy. my boyfriend noticed pretty quickly that i was wearing something new and he enjoyed this perfume a lot, and he is not big into floral scents either. i love love love this fragrance and i wish the bottle was bigger. i have had it for a week and i cannot stop wearing it. it lasts the full day on my neck and i can smell it days later on my clothes. i am already running low on this perfume and it is out of stock. i am literally addicted and i love the way this perfume smells. wow wow. definitely a safe blind buy.

Wonderfully tart and sweet! I’m first reminded of Montale Paris Intense Cafe. It’s that kind of rose, the type with a candied-citrus brightness about it. Love Explosion is potent and hits me in the nose like opening a can of sweet, powdered lemonade mix that tickles. Where it begins to deviate is when the praline steps out from behind the curtain and takes the stage. Not a solo, but an intertwined dance between a chewy, nougat-y note and a tangy, airy floral. Just lovely. I’ve reached for this every day since I’ve had it and anticipate using it all up, much too soon, if I don’t stop. This is my very first Zara fragrance and I do hope they’ll make it permanent or at least bring it out during the sparkling holidays. This is also reminiscent of LVEB L’Elixir’s duet between cocoa butter and fruity rose. A romantically feminine fragrance.

This is one of the best Zara perfume release ! To my nose it is 70% Rose Gourmand, 30% Red Temptation and have the best of both world ! As I am not the biggest fan of both RG en RG, but Love Explosion definitively has my heart. In the opening, the rose is much more tamed and sugary rather than thick and syrupy. The scent is pretty linear as I personally get the dry drown around 20-30 min after putting it. To my nose Love Explosion is also more gourmand, sweeter and fluffier than the previous ones. The sillage is great, and the longevity is amazing, I can smell it on my vest 5 days after putting it. This the perfect rose scent for people that are not usually into the rose note. Moreover Love Explosion is not as unisex as RG and RT, is much more feminine to my nose.

This was a random buy while I was in Zara one day that sent me spiraling into collecting fragrances. I LOVE this. I had not tried Delina/DE/Roses Vanille/CDN Imperiale before smelling this so I had no idea it was a dupe for those. Now that I know and have tested them, Love Explosion remains my favorite of all. It's feminine, floral, warm, and sweet without being juvenile. I get great projection and longevity (6-8hrs) from this. I typically do not lean towards gourmands but this is an underrated beautiful perfume for an amazing price. I've purchased two backup bottles and may even get a third; that's how obsessed I am with this perfume.
