Navy Black 2020

For $12 bucks it's not bad at all! I don't really get any BDC except for maybe a few minutes in the opening, as it drys down I get a lot of Dylan Blue, as in pretty damn close. I'd say 85-90% close to Versace Dylan Blue. I don't get much Dior Sauvage either, maybe a hint of the EDT but not the EDP or Parfum and I have all three and can compare. I love Dylan Blue and bought a 6.7oz bottle because it's really a nice fragrance that is inoffensive, versatile, good value at discounted prices and it's about 65-70$ dollars for a big 6.7oz 200ml bottle on Ebay from Foreverlux so you know it's authentic. Foreverlux.com is the place to buy fragrances.. Can't beat the prices..!

I bought 100 ml for 10 dollars a year ago. This was my favorite fragrance, i tried a lot of blue fragrances but none of them can replace the “fresh after-shave smell” this one has. It has Blue de Chanel DNA but somehow this one is even more likable for me. I miss this fragrance so much. They discontinued it in a few weeks after i got mine and i am desperately looking for it everywhere i go. It had terrible performance but still, i wish they never discontinued it. They casually discontinued one of the best perfumes they had, please bring it back Zara, new versions can’t replace this one. 😞

Great office fragrance, and good price. Performance is better on clothes, like 6h or so.

Smells great but has the longevity of a fart

I recently purchased all three fragrances of the 2020 Zara Black line. Agate, Warm and Navy and I like them all. Navy Black, as the name and colouring already suggest, is a blue fragrance. In the immediate opening I get citruses with a very faint vetiver. As I really love vetiver fragrances, like Guerlains Vetiver, Terre d’Hermes and even cheapies like Bentleys Infinite Intense, I can say the vetiver in this is weak as hell. That said, Navy Black starts out with a distinct Dior Sauvage EdT vibe, supplemented by Bleu de Chanel, but to me it is more of an attempt to clone Sauvage than Bleu de Chanel. But then in the dry down it fades a bit closer to Bleu de Chanel. If you like Sauvage or blue scents in general, this is a good alternative for when you do not want to waste the expensive original. Longevity is ok. About 5h with less projection of Sauvage of course, the EdT is blasting out a lot in its opening. This is not. It is moderate bordering on soft and becomes a skin scent rather quickly. As a final thought: It feels like the entire Zara Black series (Warm, Agate, Navy) is one of “blended” perfumes. Navy Black reminds me of Sauvage (opening) and Bleu de Chanel (dry down). Warm Black reminds me of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille (opening) and V&R Spice Bomb (dry down, though here it is the weakest similarity). Agate Black reminds me of Dylan Blue (opening) and Acqua di Gio Profumo (dry down).

Ive just made it through the bottle and i can say its a fresh aromatic scent. It is also very linear and enjoyable with good dispersion on the sprayer in a quality sealed bottle with thick glass containing alot of fragrance for an extremely good price these days if you can find it .It does remind me of Nautica Life only less green . No way great but really good as a "grab and go " fragrance which actually gives good vibes and got me compliments . At 15 dollars for the purchase how can go go wrong here and if you do grab it , spray away with glee as youll need to in most climates and situations.

I bought this as I’m currently too poor to buy BDC haha, I’ve smelt BDC and I’ve gotta say the opening is almost spot on. Give it a couple minutes and it dries down to something a lot different but nice. It smells a lot like fresh sheets, it’s very comforting. Unfortunately it does only last maybe 3 hours at most. Good for a little spray for the Gym or at home.

As others have mentioned, this is a blue patchouli in the vein of Bleu de Chanel, Sauvage and Dylan Blue. If that is what you are looking for, there are others that copy that vibe better, especially La Rive Extreme Story. Navy Black is way easier to wear though. Never overbearing or overpowering. Overall a decent fragrance from ZARA.

Haven't smelled the Chanel fragrance surprisingly but this does remind me of Sauvage. Not saying it smells exactly like it but it did remind me of it. I would enjoy it on a guy. Only ended up getting this because it came in a set with Warm Black which I was dying to smell.

Works best above 15 centigrade, if you use this in cold weather you will not notice its moderate sillage. Overall, a good scent, not long lasting, good for an evening gathering (dinner, movie date, etc.) Edit: It smells very similar to the dry down of Montblanc Legend EDT.

No e probado blue de chanel ni dylan blue pero le encontré un parecido a polo sport, no es un mal perfume per su aroma no lo encontre innovador ya que polo Sport lo utiliza mi papá hace mucho tiempo y lo encuentro muy igual a mi parecer :)

Love the new batch! (90 ml) More grown up and less sweet than the 80 ml ones (can't remember the 100 ml version). Notes on the website (from the top): nectarine / bergamot / grapefruit clary sage / coffee notes vetiver / amber / patchouli

Nice, versatile, very affordable. Very similar to Bleu de Chanel. Unimpressive performance, but can partly be compensated by overspraying. Good for office wear because it is very inoffensive.

Smells nice but doesn’t last very long. Can’t complain too much however, considering the price

After purchasing the perfume, use it for a while and let it rest, it will become beautiful.

It's not like Bleu de Chanel for me. It's more spicy, idk. But still not bad

Good smell. Opens with citrics quite similarly to Bleu by Chanel (or plenty of other "blue" fragances) and then dries down to a dark patchouli + vetiver. It's actually a quite cool duality, fresh opening, dark drydown. While it's true that it lacks something in the middle "binding" both parts (a role usually left to ambroxide or iso-e) that's not a problem by itself, it just creates a different fragance with two (interesting) personalities. The real problem is that performance is abysmal. After about an hour it becomes a skin or clothing scent, and that only by sniffing in Tony Montana mode. Reviews made in 2020 (with the black bottle) talk about 4-5 hours, so maybe the new bottle is reformulated, it certainly doesn't last anywhere close to that, maybe, maybe as a (very) intimate scent, but other people won't smell it beyond an hour, if not less. With a better perfomance this would be a very nice fragance, as of now, I only recommend if it comes along with Warm Black as it adds little to the price and one can use when performance is not required. On a side note, could be interesting to layer it with one of those single molecule (ambroxide or iso e) fragances; at least as an experiment.

the weakest in this collection 'Shades of Black' and when i say weak i dont mean just the performance, theres something about the blend that makes it not very well balanced, i dont think theres any ambroxan in this one and that what it actually needed... u can say this is a super light version of Bleu de Chanel edt with a few hints of Dylan Blue, with a Sauvage vibe in the background, from the first spray itll remind of u that sort of perfumes.. overrall it is an ok frag, office friendly..or even for the gym, the price is awesome so yeah u get what u paid for... if u want a list of Zara fragrances that smell like other famous frags u can check out this video on youtube (copy & paste the title on the search bar in youtube) : UPDATED LIST of ZARA FRAGRANCES that r believed to be CLONES to DESIGNER FRAGRANCES!

very boring, certainly inoffensive. Blue fragrance in the style of dylan blue ; longevity is basically non existing. It is so weak I used it after showers indoors and even after heavily overspraying it, it is gone within a couple of hours. Still not a bad scent , very agreeable and easy to wear, does not smell overly harsh and smells clean.

Purchased as a cheap gym frag. Even for the £15 price it’s very disappointing - smells like a budget generic deodorant. EDIT. Kept with the frag for a few days and it’s slightly better. Won’t be repurchasing, but for £15 it’s ok. However, like most Zara frags, performance and silage is poor

Overpriced imo because it doesn't last long - maybe 2 hrs max. It smells good but wish it would hang around. I won't be repurchasing this one, I feel there are other brands that do a cheap blue better.

Versace Dylan Blue with average quality and weak performances, i have it because it was in a pack combined with Warm Black, I would never buy it in a single package. 6/10

Wel. Good Bleu de Chanel imitation. Smells good but not long lasting. Max. 1-2 hours, depending on the skin. It's cheap, so you can't expect more from it. 6/10

Smells ok but not that similar to BDC It's a disrespect to compare this to BDC And performance is 2-3 hours if you are lucky

Opens up as Chanel Bleu de Chanel, but the scent is gone after 10min. Very weak performance.

Its okay for the price. Its a Blue De Chanel dupe. Longevity is 2 hours. Sillage is meh.

It's similar to Bleu de Chanel (I have compared both smells). I really like the smell. BUT this fragrance only lasts max. 30 minutes. So worthless fragrance! The longevity is ridiculous bad. Do not buy.

It was very cheap to buy and smells just like a clone of bleu de channel, but the longevity is really low. Overall would not recommend, better to go for Armaf perfumes if you want clones.

Probably the weakest fragrance I own. It smells good but what’s the point? 1/10

The obvious notes of the fragrance: grapefruit and vetiver. In other words, a dry blue, fresh and clean woody profile, bitter citrus, casually elegant. That light grapefruit citrus stays present, but it is kept in check by the vetiver and feels bright. It is a pool fragrance, not a beach one. This is a very intimate, light, luminous, urban, well-behaved scent, the way a versatile blue is supposed to be. It wants to work within about half a meter. Projection is low, longevity is around three hours, which fits the intimate concept. Yes, the bottle will go fast. Reapplying is part of the experience. Zara being Zara. If it had designer-level longevity, even at a slightly higher price, I would skip every other versatile blue. Navy Black would step all over many expensive blues out there. The DNA is good, the performance is toy-level. It is made for up to three hours of intimate wear, with reapplication. But the scent makes up for it. It is pleasant, slightly bitter grapefruit, dry woods, and that bright touch gives it a refined feel. Where to wear it? Anywhere a clean, well-behaved blue makes sense: hanging out, a walk, the office, the classroom. The gym? Not sure. Probably not, because of the soft elegance and dry feel. It is not annoying, just almost too polite for that environment. I would wear it on a summer or spring night out. Also right after a shower at home. Mild daytime weather? Easy. And at night? That is what it was made for. Would I risk it in daytime heat? Yes, since it is citrusy, woody and bright, but not on the beach sand. At a beachside restaurant, yes. By the pool? Yes, it fits.

I got that a few days ago based on a Youtube review and i ve experienced the worst longevity ever i swear in god it lasts 30 seconds. I called the Zara store here in Greece and they told me that they cant do anything because i opened it as if it is possible to try it without opening lol. Ridiculous fragnance even for the 11 euros u can still get a decent 1, mayb mine was a bad 1 dunno but after 30 years of wearing fragnances that was something amazing 30 secs and gone.

Perfect for the gym, very nice pleasant and refreshing citrus (mostly grapefruit) burst with slightly darker mood. It does resemble various other familiar blue frags but not enough to call this an actual clone - this potion is more simplistic than the others the people compare to, it does not last but will be just enough to get you through your sweaty work out session or an errand.

Opens a bit like Bleu de Chanel and then transitions into a green and slightly salty neroli. I find it similar to AdG. It's a surprisingly decent performer for a fresh cheapie from Zara. It is definitely not a 1:1 BdC clone. I like it though! I think your affinity for neroli will make or break this fragrance for you.

Barely cuts it for the gym. No performance, no longevity, smells bad on synthetic clothes. Smells exactly like BDC. Got a few compliments, typical crowd pleaser, really - nothing special. Its alright for the price, found it for under 9 euro and really don't care how many times I spray. Wouldn't repurchase tho.

Tested yesterday. I got 5h longevity with 1h of really good projection. Is completely Bleu de Chanel. No Sauvage there. For 10€ is a good Zara release, i think. The smell is similar to Bleu de Chanel all the way through, but less power, more synthetic, a little chemical, but not unpleasant.

Longevity is not an issue for me and the smell is nice, classy. I just find it pretty harsh in the opening, smells slightly chemically, but the dry down is much better. Not really my type of fragrance, but can’t not recommend it either. For the price it’s a quite nice fragrance.

the blend is lacking... wish it had more blendful character in it, although it's kind of generic citrusy & fresh thats all.

The current version is awfull, i can't stand sage note, it is herbal and peperry, smells like "dirt citric". Sage, horrible

Hmm. This could be a terre d hermes clone. Worth checking out.
