No 4 Amber & Fig Cashmere

I love this!!!!! I dont really remember how or why I bought it. I think tested it in Zara and it smelled like a luxurious body lotion. At that time I was more into heavy amber frags so it was a bit unusual and too cold for me. I dont know why I came back, I probably smelled it again at Zara and decided to buy it... It was summer I remember that. Anyways, I have used 2 full bottles and have an unopened one waiting its turn. Before this Ive never had a fig fragrance. This smells like an expensive lotion, its cold and cooling. Zara perfumes usually have a very similar (cheap) sweet “aftertaste” and this one doesnt have that at all. I think thats what makes it so good. It smells very niche and expensive. Tho sometimes I think it could be kinda fuller? Maybe it can be layerd with a musk base, Ill try that. I remember selling some stuff online and I sprayed the package with this perfume. The girl I sold the stuff to asked me what was the perfume I used, it was gorgeous. I do not smell it on me after some time but I dont care, I know its there. Its cool, milky, creamy and cold. Fresh but in an airy way, not in a citrusy way.

As a Zara perfume lover, it is not hard to get me to love their perfumes, but I tried this in the store very nonchalantly and, at the first sniff, I almost hated it. It literally smelled foul. Cut to 5 minutes later - I could not stop smelling my arm where I sprayed it. At first, I was wondering what the smell was because I had tried a few perfumes, but once I pinpointed what it was, I had to get it - and I did. It is very strong, with great sillage and longevity. My jacket still smells on it around the sleeves, close to where I sprayed it first. It is very sweet in its opening, but after some time, it leaves the most elegant and opulent scent, which still radiates and is strong. I would say it is a bit powdery, which is something I do not like, but overall, the clean and papery scent is a must. It's become one of my favorite scents ever, and I've had it for two days. There is no way you won't be noticed in this perfume, so I recommend it.

I absolutely love this perfume from Zara! It's very calming, subtle but with great longevity, and elegant for both sexes, of course! I love how it reminds me of some Hermès Fragrances, with a discrete vibe, but make no mistake - this one has pretty good longevity for the type of fragrance that it is, with some relaxing notes. It's ideal for every time of the year! I don't quite know yet which perfume it reminds more, but it certainly goes in the direction of a subtle relaxing vibe, with a fruity-woody-citrusy vibe (including the extraordinary fig note!!) and then a wonderful dry-down with patchouli and ambergris! Really beautiful - once again Zara and Jo Malone doing some great stuff here - damn, it really can be an almost-niche quality fragrance! I paid 25€ for the 90mL bottle, but if i had paid 60€ i still would be proud of my shopping! Will certainly get an extra bottle!

This is such a fresh and bright amber-based scent. The woody notes carry this blend, it has a sturdy feel to it. There is a zing and a slight sweetness underneath, that feels like a breeze. I miss this so much, and my bottle is running thin. EDIT: my prayers were heard, amen! May your plants always flourish ✨️ A lot of people seem surprised that Zara had such a beautiful blend with this much longevity, but for those who don't know, this is one of Jo Malone's collabs with Zara (thank you mother for feeding us, the less financially blessed). Anyway, whomst at Jo Malone do I need to @ so that they consider making a version of this for the main brand? Clearly this didn't make the cut of becoming a mainstay at the Zara line-up, but I know Jo was in her bag when she put this together so let's make it happen.

nascilde You're absolutely right ! Smell is amazing for the price ! I have just received my bottle, it was a blind buy, I have thought that I might be similar to Bottega Veneta Illusione, but no it's not. The opening bites you with citrus and pepper, but soon... all you get is this classic amber accord - vanilla, benzoin, sweet resin - just lovely, mixed with milky fig. I can pick up some woody notes, maybe patchouli. As name state - AMBER is main star and yes you can get cashmere like quality texture from this ! I would recommend even a blind buy !

This is best Zara ever did. Silage and longevity are really good, better than some designer fragrances. The smell is nice and unique. It turns heads and does great in warm weather. Great for day and night. I tried some other Zara fragrances over the years - people go bananas over them, and this is probably the one and only that impressed me THIS much. Bummer? I cannot find it on their website anymore - should have gotten myself at least few more bottles.

Amber & Fig Cashmere is back at Zara stores in a new cylindrical bottle in the same EDP concentration by Jo Malone. Lovely clean, fresh scent with green and natural fig note. The fig here is not dense, milky, coconuty or sunscreen type. On me, it is cold, clean, green, a little bit earthy in a vetiver way. I think it's very elegant, classy and refined scent. Excellent longevity and nice sillage.

Zara’s Amber & Fig Cashmere by Jo Malone is back!! Now in a new cylindrical bottle, it’s the same scent curated by Jo Malone. One of the few Jo Malone scents that wasn’t available in Malaysia when it first launched in 2023. I’m so glad the new version is now released here! If you enjoy fig fragrances like me, get it while you can.

For all of you guys that adored this perfume and wished Zara brought this back, your wish has been granted! Went to Zara Singapore today and saw it on the rack ! I've never smelled this before and I tested it just now and it was love at first sniff. It smells nostalgic! Its a cozy and fresh fragrance. Will be purchasing it.

Think of eau de merveilles with creamy fig note that surrounds the fragrance. It’s muskier than eau de merveilles but I think that’s what makes it last longer. I love how fig compliments every note in this fragrance. I like it more when it settles after an hour. It’s nice on skin and good for summer. Very uplifting.

I love Diptyque perfumes, but it so happened that I tried one of their summer scents and this Zara on the same day and I was blown away how much better the Zara one was - the uniqueness, the notes and ingredients combo, everything. Congratulations, one of the best scents on the market.

I have a pretty good collection of aftershave and decided to get this for my partner. However, I find myself, more drawn towards the smell and been using it for work though it's for women. I just love that smell of the morning fog and rain. One of my favourites for now

Smells like the lingering scent of salty amber and patchouli from Merveilles after trudging through a lake surrounded by fig trees. Very interesting and somehow refreshing in the heat. An unusual amber.

on paper smells completely different - woody, sweet, clean and masculine, but on my skin and clothes it smells like a cheap blue fragrance with ocean vibes, maybe a little bit similar to nautical voyage

This is another Zara perfume I’ve fallen in love with. It’s a fresh, clean scent with a light, creamy blend that makes it perfect for summer.

Idk why but I get white wine note after 2 hours on my skin.. anyway perfume is beautiful and it will totally be my next purchase

Hybrid of TF Soleil Blanc and Creed VIW. VERY addictive and longevity and projection is fantastic for a Zara frag.

AFC is a slightly strange, fig-centred scent, not as simple as it first appears. Fig is a note I enjoy in perfumery, and here it is interesting - changing from sweet to green as it develops, yet retaining a lovely warmth. The fig complements the other notes at all stages of this scent. AFC remains predominantly figgy throughout (a good thing for me). AFC opens with a burst of sweet mandarin orange with a spicy, peppery undertone. Once the initial opening fades a little, fig emerges, complementing the spicy orange notes beautifully - saving it from potpourri territory. The fig is slightly sweet and smells realistic, like the pulp of the ripe fruit. The spicy citrus opening is fleeting, giving way to the fig altogether within the first half-hour. As it develops, it becomes more fig-heavy, but it is more green than sweet, like the fig leaf note listed. It reminds me of Diptyque Philosykos here, being green and figgy. AFC is warmer than Philosykos though, possibly due to the amber notes in the base. However, the amber is quite synthetic, emerging strongly as it dries down. The soft woody fig balances it out, which is its saving grace. It fades to a sweet amber-fig skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate, better than other Jo Malone Zara scents. The name is apt, reflecting both the dominant notes and the warmth of this scent. Very pleasant fig scent, good quality and good value as usual from this line. 3/5.

Another quality juice from the ZARA Jo Malone line. But to appreciate this, you really need to like fig as a note, as this, this is a fig heavy hitter. Balade De Figuer has fig leaf and fig sap - but those are not notes that smell like the actual fig fruit, while this one has it in abundance. Reminds me of Kenzo Homme, but a lot higher quality and natural smelling, which is crazy given this is like 1/3rd of the price. Opening is high quality, sweet citrus and fig, with a little bit of zest from the pink pepper, moving through a softer, creamy middle phase to a slightly earthy vegetal with a hint of clean human skin from the ambroxan. Great pick for fig appreciators, but for anyone else it might be a bit much, especially in warm weather - the fig and ambroxan combo might overwhelm some less experienced noses.

i like this scent. its woody, fresh and a bit citrusy. but i can only see a man wearing this or a very masc woman. theres nothing really feminine about this, but not really super masculine either? i think this should've been a unisex fragrance. overall, good tho. idk about the longevity cause i just tested this in store but honestly a pretty good perfume

I wish Zara bring this perfume back one day. It was one of my fav perfume with a very good longevity. I used to get compliments all the time when i wore this one. It was clear, fresh, easy to wear during the day.

fig is present. to me its still that light creamy fig scent profile. syntethic but not in a bad way. very mass pleasing, unisex and inoffensive.

Cool breeze in a bottle, cozy, a bit sweet, simple and linear but also fun, perfect for summer mornings and casual wear

This Zara scent had some hype so I did have high expectations. Sadly, I feel a bit disappointed. To my nose, what I read in the notes did not translate too accurately when compared to what I actually feel I am smelling. The best way I can summarize the perfume - the scent of a breeze in a rainy meadow that has some orange trees in it. Reminds me a of Clean Reserve's Rain actually just with some green notes and citrus on top. Now, the most important thing - Can I smell fig? No, not really. Maybe very faintly once its been on the skin for a while, but at that point I don't know if I'm actually smelling fig or trying so hard to smell it that I have gaslit myself into believing that I actually smell the fig... I do smell green notes, I do smell something aquatic, I do smell the orange (which actually feels more like lemon due to the lack of any sweetness) and lastly, I smell some musk on the dry down, and that's it. Ultimately, it is a well executed, pleasant perfume that I definitely can see as unisex (though I see it as a bit more masculine but still pretty unisex) and a good inoffensive everyday wear, but at the same time it feels a bit generic and lacks longevity (at least on my skin - your milage may vary).

For The new bottle, never had the old one. This is such a disappointment for me. I smell no fig, to me it’s more of a salty citrusy sea breeze kinda of scent. Definitely unisex but leans a bit masculine. The biggest disappointment is the longevity and silage, it disappears in 30 minutes, even on clothes . This is my least lasting fragrance from Zara, and a have a few.

I had really high hopes for this... It has a sticky sweetness to it, maybe it’s the fig. I couldn’t stand it on myself, I also think it is a masculine scent, I tried to give it to my boyfriend but he didn’t like it either, so I got rid of it. Too bad.

I had to return this because of one note I couldn’t stand. Maybe it’s the fig tree. Smelled like spit to me. Other than that, without that note it is a fresh scent but on the boring side.

Based on the notes, I was not expecting to like this but was hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Oh how wrong I was! The opening is so sharp and bitter, and pretty quickly it settles down into what I am assuming must be amber. Its peppery and warm and spicy in the worst way. Granted, I hate those kinds of fragrances, so others could like this. For me, however, it is just awful- the strong scent felt like it was burning my nostrils. It was still very strong after 2 hours, I ended up scrubbing it off but... some of it still stayed behind. Seems to have pretty good lasting power for a Zara fragrance. I'm not too familiar with figs etc. in perfumes, but couldn't pick out anything distinct in here besides a very overpowering sharp pepper harsh scent.

The pink pepper tanginess that hits my nose and the slight coconut-like sweet scent feels like a mismatch. It made me feel sick so I washed it off immediately. I don't know why people say this is similar to Eau des Merveilles. They are not similar at all. Eau des Merveilles has a bittersweet, refreshing scent, not this strange sweetness.

After blind buying and enjoying Amber Linen, I was impressed with the Zara execution of amber. I looove fig and cashmere seemed complementary to those two. So I blind bought this one as well. From the cap, it smelled like cheap aftershave. On one spray, still cheap aftershave. On multiple sprays, like one does with a Zara fragrance, the fig came out to play and it developed into a summery, bright , pleasant smell. Maybe a tad like sunscreen. But right after that initial burst, fig was just lost. Dry down was a faint cashmere. There is some ozonic quality to this but that also fades away quite quickly. And though listed here, there is nothing animalic about this frag, not to my nose anyway. The thing is, at this price point you will not find anything smelling similar to this. As others noted, it has similarities to Acqua di Parma frags. No harm in buying this.

It's not a bad scent, but so simple. It's heavy on the cashmeran so what you get is like a mariage between Womanity, philosykos and something Like Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist. Somehow I get the same vibe as with Malone's Lime Basil. It has that same base, buth the Lime Basil is fresh and crisp and this one is smooth and warm. This would be a good cologne for a man who loves Dior Homme Intense but wants something light for summer and who dislikes the citruses like Neroli Portofino ao. I smell no patcouli, orange, pepper, just fresh fig and woods.

I've tried this in shop, hoping for a prominent fig note, which I something I really love! Nah, no fig there (ay least for my nose to detect). Maybe it is the chemistry of my skin in this hot summer day, but this is linear unremarkable amber, maybe with a hint of musk, something I've smelled thousand of times in hundred of other fragrances. And I can't really stand neither musk nor amber ( at least not when they are the most prominent notes, I can tollerate them only in the drydown if melt with something else), so maybe it is a my problem.

I bought this, Citrus Meze, and Rose Petal Drops, expecting to like all three. I liked none of them, unfortunately. This one started out the best on the initial spray but once it dried down smelled pretty synthetic and linear (maybe not linear, but it smelled very "one-note" but made of two notes. Am I making sense? Actually, maybe not even two notes. I think the fig disappeared pretty quickly.) Yeah. Synthetic and screechy to me after a minute or two, unfortunately. Thank god I only bought the 10ml roller.

Currently on 40% reduction sale in Zara in the UK. I wasn't sure about this at full price as it seemed a bit 90s screechy aquatic on sniffing from the bottle in the store. However, at reduced price I thought 'why not' and I'm glad I've picked it up. Although not groundbreaking, it's a nice, calm subtle fume with decent longevity. My skin is mainly picking out the citrus. This isn't a typical fig scent but has a serene green to it. I knew Auntie Jo wouldn't let me down!

I’ve already had plenty of compliments when wearing this! Juicy enough for summer but the warming woody cashmere would make it a nice really autumnal / evening scent too. The amber provides the longevity and this dries down to a really sexy musk. Not at all cloying. I love this most of all out of all the Jo / Zara fragrances. I really love Fico Di Amalfi by Acqua Di Parma but this is much longer lasting, better price point too. A winner!

smell of morning fog after a stormy night incredible how this smells dewy and aquatic on me. maybe ozonic. so good. i always end up coming back to this. love layering this to add luminescence to a fragrance.

It’s back and stock is already low! For me this is Jo Malone’s most unisex sent. I’m a fool for fig and this is gorgeous fig surrounded by brightness, comfort and earthiness. Such a winner!!!
