When I say that a fragrance is "breathtaking", do you believe me? Like in a sumptuous, wonderful, creamy, and flowery musky indulgence that interrupts my breathing as I eagerly plunge in for a second sniff? Sweet enough to captivate me, rich enough to keep me, and complex enough to seduce me, Rose Gourmand is an absolute star of the Exclusive line, one of the sexiest floral gourmands I've ever smelled. I'm still catching my breath. Rose Gourmand is the latest piece from the ZARA Exclusive Collection that I added to my wardrobe. I put it back the first time I tested it because the prime few moments were very similar to Montale's Roses Musk, which I already own, so I went further. After leaving the store, the perfume took a different turn, becoming creamier and softer than Montale, which instead takes on a more musky and powdery appearance. Let me say that the more it warms and develops, the more it resembles Montale Intense Cafe, a brighter version of that without the coffee accord, of course. Still, the floral, gourmand and creamy nuances are strictly the same. I must point out that this perfume changes a lot on the skin compared to the paper strip. On the latter, it has a delightful scent, similar to candy; on the skin, that smell of candy turns into a much softer and slightly powdery gourmand accord. Rose Gourmand greets me right away with a bite of faint zesty, a kind of alcoholic-lemon vodka, which lasts only a while before a sweet blend of delicious caramelized rose petals dipped in vanilla cream soars to the top. Here I get an inebriant and addictive scent of fragrant rose and vanilla vibe. This bouquet unfolds with a slightly fresh scent. However, this freshness is somewhat eclipsed by the sweeter notes. Notes like sugar and vanilla take a sharp prominence, only to be accompanied by a fresher, balancing scent of the rose. The heart goes on with notes of sugar and rose. This perfume has one foot in the floral realm and one in the gourmand realm, and it makes me consider if there is such a thing as rose milk caramel. Overall, you get a gorgeous, sweet, greedy fragrance with lovely hints of rose sprinkled in. Finally, the dry down comes, with the nuances of clean white musk, a spoonful of smooth vanilla, and just a hint of dry cedar. The white musk helps center the composition. When this cologne starts to dry down, the amiable notes remain present and mellow out a bit. The vanilla is very pronounced, and the rose is upfront with the musk lingering in the background. A breathtaking love story that envelops you in an aura of luxurious exotic seduction and lasts for hours, simmering to a low hum of the softest vanilla you could dream of. Rose Gourmand is a fantastic fragrance to wear during the colder seasons. This fragrance is reasonably sweet and very strong, making it too offensive to wear it properly during the warmer seasons. Nonetheless, during the colder months, this fragrance is a real gem. I think this perfume is suitable for work. You can also wear it during the evening, or for a date; you will smell very sexy and sensual. With its sweet, floral aroma, you have a real compliment getting fragrance, and you're sure to leave a remarkable impression. An unimaginable scent that smells of roses and vanilla--a simple combination but smells great to my nose. It also has excellent projection and fantastic longevity and smells smooth. The radiant rose in full bloom, married to buttery vanilla, not too sweet, that wears well until it fades softly into a skin scent in about 5-6 hours in the northern Italian autumn climate. I can't wait to try the performance of this perfume in the coming winter months! This review bases upon a 80ml (2.7 fl. oz) I own since October 2020.

I got this scent in the mail and immediately sprayed it on my wrists and the back of my neck. Three sprays total. The projection was no joke! I filled the room and left quite the scent trail. I tend to use 3 to 5 sprays of most perfumes. My beast modes get 2 sprays and my weaky-poopy frags get up to 10. This show signs of being a 2 to 3 spray scent. I asked my family about it, and here are the responses I got. Sister: "I HATE it! Ugh. Nope. I hate it." Dad: "I don't need to smell your wrist. I can smell it from here. It's...strong." (read: I really don't like that.) Mom" *tries to clear scent out of nose* no words were said. Sister's fiance: "I mean...I'm not going to vomit or run screaming..." So safe to say everyone in my family hates it, and that's too bad because this is a new favorite for me! It's so yummy and sweet. I mostly get a candied rose with vanilla scent. Upon first spray, I do get a slight minty or herbal/medicinal note like someone had previously mention, but it goes away quickly. I'm glad it does because it would possibly get sickening if it stayed. The scent stays pretty linear from there on out, though it does gradually get less rosy and more vanillic. Almost all scents end up as straight vanilla on me though, whether they contain vanilla or not. I sprayed it around 9 pm, and I could still smell it at 6 in the morning. I did also try layering this over a really accurate MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe since this is purported to be a very good dupe for Mancera Roses Vanille and Montale Intense Cafe, which, in turn, are said to layer excellently with BR 540. It was heaven!!!! The SILLIAGE!!!!! I kept walking back and forth through my scent trail to experience it. I wanted to marry myself! I smelled rich. I smelled classy, I smelled desirable. I smelled like a beautiful, feminine woman who had the emotional capacity to nurture a family and command respect in the corporate realm at the same time. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 8/10 Silliage: 8/10 Longevity: 7/10 Now excuse me while I hunt down some backups.

I first visited Paris in a school trip when I was 16. I was the party pooper of the class. I used to make fun of the kids who smoked and drank because it seemed ridiculous to me, and for some reason I thought I was better than them. The evening before the trip, the other students in my class were discussing on Facebook how much better it would be if I didn’t go. I was heartbroken. I still went, for Paris. Ever so expectedly, I fell in love with the city of all metaphors. I became enmeshed in the art, the architecture, the language, the history. I spent the following five years obsessing about moving there. It was an addiction, I lived and breathed aesthetics. There were holes in my chest in the shape of cherry blossoms. As I got more into politics and activism during the following years, as I took part in protests and cried out chants, I gradually fell in love with Athens, its grey buildings, its noise, its scents of sweat, traffic, and resistance. Paris slowly faded away as I started to see its inequalities, the colonialism, the price of rent. As I temporarily fell out with my parents, went through a nasty breakup, and became a hermit, I started to de-romanticize things. Greece’s betrayal on every respect was just as devastating. It felt like falling, forever. Zara’s Rose Gourmand, a dupe of Mancera’s Roses Vanilla which I’ve never smelt, allowed me to travel back to the Parisian reveries of my youth, gave me access to a healthy kind of escapism, in which I can roam free in any city and appreciate its smells of piss, pot, and car fumes, while smelling like λουκούμια (the Greek version of Turkish delight), wearing pink satin, and buying poetry at the bouquinistes, in April, by the Seine. Rose Gourmand is a list of feminine things I don’t want to deny myself.

I had this perfume in the past, used up a couple bottles, after I found it to be cloyingly metallic or some sort of harsh peppery note in it. It was strange, because I didn't remember to detect it when I started to wear. I thought I just got too used to the scent that now it bothers me. If that makes any sence - probably not.. I selled a full bottle because of this, I just couldn't stand it anymore. But now, after a few months I was craving it, because of the cold weather and went to Zara just to spray it and have that warming feeling again that it gave me whenever I wore it. After applying the tester, I didn't feel that metallic synthetic note, so I bought a bottle. After opening and spraying it on, I am sitting now in this beautiful sweet scent bubble, with no strange harsh undertone and I am so happy I found it again. Maybe there are some bad batches of this that went bad? OR my allergy was kidding me? I don't know. Poor lady who bought it from me... Anyways I can smell rose, a big dose of sweet vanilla and a slight hint of coffee. It's a little bit smokey and I love that nuance. Very sexy. This is so good on my skin, really mouthwatering. I always received compliments whenever I wore it, even from strangers, which is not very common for me. I think I will layer it with roses musk just to suffocate my surroundings even more with my rose obsession😁 It's a love for me. Again🙂

WHAT this was so good. Usually I am NOT a rose/floral type person when it comes to scents but the gourmand end of this just kept pulling me in. Whenever I pass by Zara, I can't help but reach for their tester on this. Imagine a bowl, pour a whole bottle of vanilla extract in it, then add a tablespoon of melted brown sugar, and 1/4 cup of pure rose water. Stir and that's it, that's this perfume. The longevity was shocking, I wasn't really expecting it to last long but I sprayed this on my neck when I was at the mall, and the next morning when I was about to shower, I kept smelling this certain aroma of dried brown sugar vanilla extract somewhere and I couldn't find it. That was until I found out that it was coming from my neck and it was indeed the perfume that I tried on the day BEFORE. I just really didn't expect for a scent to last that long on me. One more thing, it is a DUPE for Mancera Roses Vanille!!! So if you can't get your hands on that one, then get this. A commoner wouldn't be able to tell much difference. The only difference is the projection and longevity because Mancera is definitely twice much stronger than this. As I said, I am not a rose/floral lover but if someone were to give this to me as a gift I would be ECSTATIC to have it on my collection. So if you're usually a 'sweet vanilla' fan but have to wear a more mature vanilla to a formal event, wear THIS.

Rose Gourmand For Her by Zara – A True Transformation into Perfection! 🌹✨ When I first sprayed Rose Gourmand For Her, I was honestly disappointed. It had this sharp, almost synthetic edge that made me question all the hype. It felt unfinished, like something was missing. But instead of giving up on it, I let it sit. And oh, what a decision that was! Six months later, this fragrance became pure magic. 💖 What once felt harsh is now a smooth, luxurious, velvety dream of roses, vanilla, and warm amber. The sweetness deepened, the edges softened, and the scent transformed into something absolutely intoxicating. It’s the kind of fragrance that lingers in the air, leaves a trail behind you, and makes people turn their heads. And let’s talk about performance—this beauty is eternal. The projection is so strong, I can smell it on my skin and clothes for hours upon hours. It lasts through the day, into the night, and even onto the next. If I could bathe in this scent, I absolutely would! It’s warm, sensual, and downright addictive. If you weren’t impressed with Rose Gourmand at first, trust the process. Let it macerate, let it bloom, and prepare to be obsessed. This went from an uncertain first impression to one of the best scents I’ve ever owned. 10/10, worth every drop! 🌹🔥✨

First off - I have not tried neither Roses Vanille nor Intense Cafe so if you came here to find out if it's a close dupe for these, I'm afraid you're not going to find the answer from my review, sorry. I already have quite a lot of Zara fragrances (I own ten so far and I intend to purchase more) and so far this is my second favorite after Golden Decade. This smells way more sophisticated and complex than you would suggest by just looking at the notes here. The rose is smoky and sexy and probably a little bit mature so I can see how it might be off-putting for some but, to my surprise, I somehow like it (am I getting old?). The vanilla is present but it is not overly sweet and it doesn't smell edible to me, it's not one of those vanilla fragrances that is going to make you smell like a cake (not that there's anything wrong with that, just sayin'). And this thing LASTS. And I don't just mean "for its price", nonono - this is more long-lasting than most of my designer fragrances. That said, I don't think this is a safe blind buy, definitely try it first. Even though I love it, I think it's a rather specific scent and it's not going to be a love for everyone.

I've had this bottle for over a year. I had left it on my shelf because I felt it didn't have staying power, but I sprayed it yesterday at 6 am before going to school. I'm a primary school teacher. With the hastyness of my work I totally forgot I was wearing any perfume. Then, around 2 p.m. I had a short meeting with an editorial representative and he told me that I smelled so good that he could not help telling me what a pleasant perfume I was wearing. When the meeting finished, I got to one of my clases and a girl approached to greet me as usual. Then she opened her eyes in surprise and tells me how good I smelled and tried to describe what she was perceiving like something sweet, vanillic, but she could not find the exact words. Only because I got this two complements in a 30 minute spam I can believe that Rose Gourmand actually lasts on your clothes. I gave it like 10 sprays on skin and clothes.

Honestly, there’s not much that can be said about this fragrance that hasn’t already been said. It definitely smells like rose water, but it is fresh, powdery, and sugary. There is a hint of citrusy freshness that I get as well, but the vanilla in here is soft, powdery, and creamy. On me, it smells like what an artisanal ice cream flavor would taste like: rose water and vanilla bean ice cream. Definitely not the same as Lush’s Rose Jam, which is a bold, spiced rose jam. This is a lot softer, muskier, powdered, sweet, and vanilla forward. This is a super girly and pretty scent that has year round potential. It’s not unique, but for the price, this could easily be layered with other scents to create a unique combination. If this isn’t your jam, try Rose Gourmand Nectar. That is jammy rose and fresh peony, pear, caramel, hazelnut, and sandalwood. It’s fresh, yet gourmand. So good!

I love this. I'm Persian and immediately when I tried this I thought this smells like a Persian dessert, we use rose water in a lot of our sweets. If you've tried rose flavored turkish delights, this somewhat smells like they taste. I was never interested in rose scents because I assumed they were grandma-ish but this is so youthful, feminine and sweet, really is a rose gourmand scent. Unfortunately I don't feel like the longevity and sillage people talk about is quite there, it's moderate, but I also tend to be noseblind to my own fragrance. I overspray though and my classmate did say I smell really good. Edit: In the short time I've had it multiple people have asked me what I'm wearing. I've never been stopped by strangers who ask for my perfume before. Guess the sillage is there!

This is groundbreaking. I have some days when I wake up and feel very masculine, and other when I want a feminine scent. I normally go for leather, warm spice, tobacco, and jasmine notes (signature scent is Sellier by Byredo), but this is a revelation. Although I never really liked the scent of roses, I prefer more masculine scents, and I go for more complicated perfumes, this is so cozy and feelgood without becoming cloying and overly sweet. It smells exactly like roses, so I have no idea how it appealed to me so much. It's probably the gourmand element which is so subtle but exists - my parents told me I smell like Turkish delight. Affordable, lasting for days, with good projection. I honestly feel so lucky I discovered this. Smells like light academia-Parisienne aesthetics.

If you enjoy rose scents, this is the one for you and is a safe blind buy. This is a sweet fragrance but is saved from smelling cheapy or juvenile with the rose and musk notes. Absolute new favorite and for $60 for the massive bottle, I think the value is definitely there! My nose immediately picks up the beautiful rose and musk twist on the top note then it lingers to a vanilla/ amber base. This is a deeply romantic scent and shines more in a nighttime setting. However on certain skins this could be a daily signature. A great fragrance for layering with scented lotion. I like it to layer just one spritz after I lotion my hands with BB&BW "wild sand". Beautiful yet simple packaging makes it a good fit on any vanity. I wish I had found this one sooner!

It's a caramelized vanilla with rosy and gourmand notes to my nose. I am getting a sweet-salty caramelized scent in the dry down (anybody else?) which makes it more mature smelling perfume. I try layering it with different perfumes, such as Zara Red Temptation/Rich Warm Addictive or I Want Choo, and the result is a BOMB! But Rose Gourmand takes over all other scents. It's a long lasting perfume (8+ hours on my clothes). It can be disturbing if you do not want to smell like caramelized rose for that long ;) I wear it during hot summer days but I did not choke anyone yet (I don't spray that much). Sunlight does not destroy the scent. You can still smell it after a walk in the sun. Pretty amazing, huh?

🌹This is a sexy beast perfume! It has a strong scent, very feminine, womanly, I’d say. (Not that a man couldn’t wear it, but you get the point.) It exudes attraction; it just smells hot. Yes, it’s a dupe of Café Intense by Montale, but unlike Café Intense, it isn’t misleading in its name. It’s exactly what it says: a very sweet, vanilla-ambery rose perfume. The notes are clear and straightforward. The sillage on this is serious. It has THE sillage on me. If I wear it out, people will smell me from across the bar or restaurant. It’s an insolent perfume, saucy and bold. Even though I mostly wear it for nights out, I can definitely see it being someone’s signature scent, depending on their personality.

Bright, sugary sweet, youthful and uplifting rose and vanilla fragrance. It’s a love for me and I’m not a someone who typically likes florals or rose. Definitely a compliment magnet, but one time, upon entering my office, one of my male colleagues said it smelled weird...like a hospital. The only thing different that day was my perfume, so it was definitely me he was smelling. Not sure where he’s typically treated, as I’ve never been in a hospital that smells like Roses Gourmand, but it definitely made me a little self-conscious. Fragrance is so subjective. Nonetheless, I personally think it’s a beautiful, fun and vibrant scent that I enjoy wearing year round. Identical to Mancera’s Roses Vanille.

Opening reminds me of authentic rose-flavoured Turkish delight (except not powdery) & a dessert called 'Water Pudding/Custard', which is a light milk pudding with fresh, sweet Spartan rose water. On my skin as time goes on it becomes more and more dessert-like & delectable with the amber and vanilla. I found myself sniffing & spraying the bottle constantly. It's just crazy-addicting. I want some Turkish delight and water pudding NOW! This is my first impressions review (might write a longer one later). Honestly one of the highest quality perfumes from Zara along with 'Red Temptation' & 'Rosy Mousseline'. It's surprisingly classy, ultra-feminine and great for fall/winter.

I actually can't get enough of this, which is awful considering I've dropped a load of money on other perfumes and now this is all I wear! Rose is usually so hit-or-miss, sometimes it smells like plain, watered-down, generic floral, and other times perfumers are able to capture the essence of what a rose is. This is one of those scents. It smells like rose jam, an intense and distinct rose note with vanilla and sugar. For the price, this is a steal. Good longevity and projection - even if it doesn't work as well with your skin, it is still great for layering or days where you just want to smell yummy at home without breaking into one of your expensive fragrances.

This one is kind of addictive for me. I really like it! I never tried turkish delights, nor the other perfumes that appear in the "reminds me of" section, but I can say: The very realistic rose is sweetened in a way that makes it modern and leaves me wanting more and more of that beautiful candy. And I'm not even a die-hard gourmand lover. The performance on me is really good. It lasts for many hours, I can smell it on myself as I move around, even with high temperatures. I didin't test it enough to know about the sillage, as I still didn't have the chance to ask friends and family if they smell it. But for the price, I think it's a steal. Very good job Zara!

this fragrance is everrrrything. It does NOT smell cheap or redundant. This, to me, smells like Turkish delight. It's so so good. I wore this for an entire year and got constant compliments for it. I will say, though, that this might not be a blind buy. One of my friends really disliked it, for example (not terribly surprising though because she doesn't like rose scents.) This fragrance is a powerhouse - like within 6 feet. Though that may, in part, be due to overspraying. Just be mindful with this one! No need for more than three sprays. *side note: I sometimes get a whiff of a strange tomato note? Like a really unripe tomato, but this is pretty rare

Blind bought a 10ml rollerball of Rose Gourmand after wanting to find a less overwhelming version of Rose Jam. This is going to be a staple in my rotation, I can already tell! The rose and vanilla are gorgeous, soft and sugary, reminds me of turkish delight. Although a little alcoholic in the opening, it goes away quickly on drydown. The performance is awesome, 7 hours later its still as strong as when I first applied. I find it sits quite close to the skin, that could be because I have a rollerball, but either way I tend to prefer that than filling the room like Rose Jam. A safe blind buy for rose lovers, especially at such a low price.
