Rose Gourmand For Him

I have this version. Had put it up on Mercari For sale. I didn’t really reach for it. But, decided to give it another chance. Plus, it’s hard to find now a days as it’s discontinued I believe(mens version). It’s very strong(potent) an absolute beautiful stunning beast. Definitely smell similarities with Mancera Roses Vanille and Montale Intense Cafe. This is their baby! Definitely will give it a chance this fall-winter. To see if I keep it my collection. But, since I already own Mancera Roses Vanille might consider putting it up again on Mercari. Will see :)

I have never smelt Rose Vanille nor Intense Cafe (I will certainly get the Ristretto version for the coffee note). However I can tell you that the very first you smell, for about 20 seconds, is a marvelous and lovely rose that reminded me the note of a rose flavored loukoum (the turkish delights), and just for this feel you need to test this fragrance. For the rest you will get a prominente sweet rose supported by a nice vanilla. Note that this won't be what we can call a man scent however it is really nice and sweet.

This is 95% similar to Mancera Roses Vanille. It is very unisex. Maybe the Rose Gourmand for her is exactly the same as this one. My GF loves this and it is a real compliment getter. But only women. No man has complimented me yet. I love this scent. The perfomance is great. Its a little on the sweet side, but you can always layer it with a heavy tobacco incense kinda frag. Blind buy: Yes (if you like roses)

Similar to intense cafe by Montale. A unisex fragrance with good performance, lovely, warm, sweet smell and for this price is a really bargain.

I received the Zara Rose Gourmand this morning at 9 and put it on straight away. Its nearly 3 pm and I can still smell it around me. I did 8-10 sprays in total both on skin and clothes and I can say it has very good lasting power (for the price- definitely better than most designer fragrances) I am quite surprised in fact! In terms of the scent itself, I can tell you this is 100% Mancera Roses Vanille. I own the Mancera but use it lightly because of its prince tag. I wanted the Zara one so I can always smell of Mancera and that’s exactly how I’m going to smell from now on. Of course as expected is not as strong and you will have to over spray to reach the intensity of Mancera but for £15.99 you can afford it. I detect the exact same notes as I detect in Mancera. An older powdered rose mixed with a sweet vanilla liquor. That’s how I would describe the smell. It also gives me Turkish Delights vibes... Divine and expensive. Safe blind buy if you like roses. Not if you detest them. The rose is very obvious in this one.

I have yet to smell Mancera Roses Vanille, but it reminds me strongly of Oud Bouquet by Lancome. Doesnt quiet have the performance. For the price still very impressive. If you like this scent, but are not willing to pay the big bucks for Lancome, I would suggest Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian.

This is even better than intense cafe holy wow... They sold out at my closest zara I need to wait for a new shipment. Hopefully they dont ever discontinue this because im hooked!

really sweet but long lasting, it was my cousin perfume for my sister wedding and she left it at our house so i reach for it for more formal event cause it's giving chic madame

Definitely more rose than gourmand on my skin. There’s also a hint of lemon in the rose to me. I would wear it with another vanilla perfume layered, but by itself it’s too floral for me.

IMHO - The opening smells very similar to montale Intense cafe, as it settles there is less of the ‘coffee’ note and it smells more similar to mancera roses vanille - only with less of the beer/yeast note that I pick up on. Longevity is great on clothes but on skin this softened to a skin scent pretty quickly. Projection is ok for the first hour (but that is after having sprayed on my clothes). A great fragrance from Zara, for the price I am really happy - totally unisex!

@speckz I’ve heard this fragrance is the same in both the “For her” and “For him”. Try looking in both sections 👍🏼 Can anyone speak to whether this has the same scratchiness as Intense Cafe? I love how Intense Cafe smells but I can’t get over how screechy it is on my skin - hoping this might be the answer.

I personally find it a feminine type of scent. It's sweet vanilla, but the rose gives it a nice edge. At first you smell the rose, but afterwards there is this beautiful gourmand vanilla that keeps lingering. Im not a fan of rose perfumes, but this is an exception for me.

Agree with the below reviewer - Oud Bouquet by Lancome without the Oud, AKA better for Western noses. I blind bought this and do not regret it. Sparkly jammy rose followed by praline, caramel, vanilla, fresh musk

This is my absolute number from from this line, it smells exactly like Montale Roses and Musk that I had on my wishlist. Now I don’t have to get it I guess.

I got this in today and it smells surprisingly similar to Zara Rich Warm Addictive. It has that same melted snowball smell to me.

This perfume really reminds me of PDM Delina. The opening to my nose is exactly the same!
