Vibrant Leather Eclat de Bergamote

Updated: 11/14/2022 I've had some time with this one now, and it's still the most prominent Orange in any of my fragrances. Now being on my 2nd bottle, I figured I'd do an update. I never noticed the hint of powdery shimmery type of vibe that takes place in the first 15 minutes. I wore it a couple days ago in the cooler weather. It was quite pleasant. However, I, primarily, still use it for ultra hot days. It works perfectly. Longevity is generally roughly 6 hours for me in my usage. Don't listen to those who claim 15-30 minutes longevity. I get an overall vibe similar to Mont Blanc Explorer, with less pepper, none of that mildew from Explorer, and that orange/tangerine citric blast. It really should've got more hype than it did. Oh well, those who did get to experience it, got a nice treat. As with all Zara's, pretty sure this is discontinued by now, but it has been a fantastic pick up.

I ate my own words as I think this is probably the best Zara in my collection and possibly the best Zara I've ever smelled. That opening is seriously incredible for the price and the juice is just great overall, from opening to drydown. It's all about the orange, with just a hint of spiciness, woods, and other citrusy elements in the background. It smells like if they took the original Vibrant Leather, but they use orange instead of the bergamot or "pineapple" as the most dominant note. It works best in high heat or for an office usage. Longevity is good enough for a citrus-heavy scent. 4.5 to 6 hours with a good projection in the first 30 to 45 mins. There's nothing that special about its performance, but too bad either.

What an opening, what a blast. Many times I find myself liking the openings of Zara fragrances even more that the ones they are copying. If they find a way to improve the performances while keeping the same price, a lot of big brands will get in trouble. Vibrant Leather Eclat the Bergamot is truly a masterpiece regarding the scent. It does compete directly with fragrances like Allure Homme Edition Blanche or Vetiver d'Hiver from Armani, not in term of similarities, but quality of the scent. The opening is as exceptional as D&G Light Blue Forever (without the realistic part). Zara, please, make your fragrances last longer and project more...... without increasing the price...... do the magic trick.

Yeah this one is really good. The opening has a lovely blast of orange and pink pepper. It's a little creamy yet still juicy after a minute. Definitely has that Vibrant Leather (apparently Aventus clone) DNA. Doesn't smell like Terre D'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche at all, as the similar to section would have you believe. Eau Tres Fraiche is a bitter orange peel opening, this is more juicy and then creamy. Both orange, yes, but not similar scent wise. Performance could be better on this one, get yourself an atomiser to take some with you and top up. But it's a lovely scent 👍

Got it few days ago, together with OG VL, VL Intense and i also had VL Oud from before. This one is by far my favorite of the 4. Citruses in the opening are beautiful and it actually smells like OG VL in the drydown just more fresh and citrusy. Would definitely recommend it. My favorite VL out of the few i tried so far.

So many good reactions. Just from wearing this a week. But i agree with the people complimenting it. It's so good. Smell like a nose tickling orange. It quickly became my favorite summer scent. And i don't have to worry about buying a new bottle because it's pretty cheap.

this coclogne does whats it's supposed to do: uplift you for a short period of time on a hot humid summer day. you get bits a pieces of so many frags without being close to any of them in particular. the first blast is superb so keep blasting yourself with this cheapie..

If you take Vince Camuto Solare, remove the pepper and cashmere wood notes and combine it with Vibrant Leather, you get this new Zara Vibrant Leather flanker, Eclat de Bergamote. I got this while at Disney Springs at their Zara and I am glad I did. I have only worn it twice but I loved the smell both times I wore it. The opening of Eclat de Bergamote is citrus heavy with a combination of bergamot and mandarin orange with a little bit of pink pepper mixed in, but it isn't as noticeable. It then goes into the mid which has some tonka but you really get the leathery woody base mixing in and overpowering the tonka mid. As mentioned before, this is the typical Vibrant Leather fragrance DNA but with the mandarain orange note from Solare. Eclat de Bergamot is not as great as performing as most Vibrant Leathers tend to be. I find Eclat de Bergamote lasts 4/5 hours but it performs pretty good. It works best when you have a summer breeze catch it and carry it off of you. Then again like similar fragrances I have with the base DNA, I own have typically been EDP not an EDT like I believe Bergamote is. Eclat de Bergamot is a three season day scent. It works best in spring and summer, but can work in fall too. This can work on dates, at work and casual situations. Zara Vibrant Leather Eclat de Bergamot, I really want to put as a love, but I can only vote it a 7.6 out of 10. It is a novel twist on the obvious DNA with a more orange take on it, but it just doesn't perform well enough.

Innocent. Clean. Young. Orange cream soda/candy in a bottle. - Sweet orange opening with a slight peppery kick. Orange/tonka/leather combo creates an "orange cream soda/candy" scent profile. Leather/wood base renders this a more masculine scent but the top/mid is unisex. - Fair projection for 1hr. Majority of the scent will be gone in 2-3hrs. Scent will linger close to skin and clothes for another 2-4hrs. Drydown of faint sweet/woodiness can last for many hours on clothes, but that's a bit of a moot point (you're not wearing this fragrance to have better smelling laundry, though that is a pleasant side effect). - Good for a casual office scent or a relaxed, hot spring/summer day. - Synthetic, but not necessarily bad. Remember that this is a $30 Zara fragrance *at retail* and adjust your expectations accordingly.

A dominating blast of mandarin orange/neroli envelopes citrusy bergamot and pepper. Base notes of dark leather, woods and musk’s gives vibrant leather a masculine, animalistic accord. Smells fresh yet dark. Reminds me of a mature wealthy man or a gentleman in a suit but would suit most people and occasions. I think it works best in the colder darker months but overall, very versatile and mass pleasing. Only wish it performed slightly better.

Meh. It’s fine. I see why people compare it to Aventus (Smokey rubbery dry down with fruit, in this case orange not pineapple) and a little bit of Terre d’Hermes eau TF. Smells nothing like Mugler’s Ultra Zest (why didn’t I buy a bottle of this when I first sampled it!!) although maybe the orange note is similar, but this Zara one has NONE of the unique creamy warmth of Mugler UZ.

This thing has an orange after shave suave grandpa kinda smell which I can't get enough of. It has a happy summer vibe to it. I really love the smell. I got 2 bottles and I just wish it lasted longer. You get about 3 and a half 4 hours with 6 sprays which isn't great but still a little better than other cheap frags.

Decent performance, pretty similar to Sauvage EDT with an orange note at the opening.

I really liked the opening - zesty orange with a dry spiciness. The scent then disappeared. But then comes the dry down after a few hours and it’s completely different, creamy, heavy leathery. I didn’t really like how it developed. Almost like another scent to my nose. I sprayed one spray on my sleeve and it is still there 36 hours later. So it’s definitely worth the price. Not equivalent to TdH.

@Rafrosa: Got the Bogoss today and it is impressively good! Very smooth and refreshing from top to base, and the drydown is just heavenly! If you like pineapple, this is an absolute buy! Having said that, the store did not have Eclat de Bergamote yet, but I'm curious to try that one out next.

This scent is weak, no projection, minimal longevity, probably the worst buy I ever did. The smell is nice and I figured I'll overspary like crazy but in high heat this just dissappears. I have eau de cologne that has more power. My advice, pay 10-15$ more and get Explorer, or Missoni or better get the OG L'Eau D'Issey that is a good performer in high heat. This is the second and last purchase of Zara fragances, Warm Black was a good buy though.

Unlike some of the other flankers in the Vibrant Leather line, this actually does smell like it uses the VL DNA. Simply put this smells like an orange Vibrant Leather. They replaced the light bergamot/pineapple from the original with a beautiful orange zest/bergamot combination. It is a quality smelling fragrance, the orange zest smells very realistic. Projection is slightly better than longevity for this fragrance. Longevity is slightly below average for a VL fragrance around 3-5 hours, while projection is 1-2 hours. The fragrance evolves with masculine leather notes and tonka bean becoming more apparent in the dry down. There is also a slight smokiness to this fragrance, which again leans the the scent to be more masculine IMO. Of all the flankers I have smelled (Cologne, Oud, Intense, Metal) this is my favorite by far. I’ve already got plenty of compliments wearing it - Highly recommend! *Very curious about Bogoss, can someone let me know if that’s worth the purchase?

I blind bought this although it says "for men". I think it is unisex and i really like the smell. Burst of orange for about 30 minutes then it gets warmer, no strong wood detected on my nose. After about 2 hours it becomes skin scent. I still can sniff it on my wrist but it is faint. I don't know about the projection. Will use it to work on monday and ask my co-workers if they can smell me. I will buy it again especially if it is on sale 😄

Devine is what comes to mind when I spray this on. The opening is so uplifting and fresh yet a little bit spicy that every time I spray it on, I am just uplifted I just found the bottle of this a few days ago so we are in winter time here in Brussels and it just works divinely. It’s completely different than the vibrant leather original perfume at least in the opening

It's an orangy version of the Aventus DNA, replacing the smoky pineapple for the smoky orange/bergamot/grapefruit. It's fresh and masculine. The orange vibe stays the whole way through. Can't complain about the performance, i got a pretty good sillage from it and a longevity about 6h+. Way way way better than the current Vibrant Leather.

Aventus-Ultra Zest hybrid. Starts off like a tangerine infused Aventus, and then dries down to a fresher version of Ultra Zest. Nice and orangey all the way through. Very casual. Wouldn't be surprised if this one gets a bit of hype.

I like it, for my GF this is a rotten orange mold. The orange note is a bit dirty, Terre d'Hermes type. For a Zara fragrance it has very good performance. All year round wearing possible, but it shines in chilly spring sunny days.

This had a wonderful 'eclat'of orange (more for me than the bergamote), anyone would recommend something similar, with such an authentic orange creaminess?
