Vibrant Leather Encens

This is the best flanker of the vibrant leather to me and the most innovative and unique ones. I tried oud vibrant leather which I do also love, but the least appealing to me and my taste was the original vibrant leather which for me was a totally fresh linear scent (no leather detected). Back to encens vibrant leather : It was a shock for me when I first tried it, because fresh and incense combinated is not so common in the fragrance industry (Always incens formulas leaning to the darker side), so the scent was kind of unique to me, the scent is not that complex to me, but I still appreciate the blend. It starts quite fresh incensy /peppery with no sweetness and the freshness mellows with time and you are left with a citrusy incency scent till the end of the life of the fragrance. If you love scents like 7 plata by Loewe (which has a similar scent style) you would love this fragrance too. But unfortunately it is not available on zara stores, only vibrant leather oud and the original are the ones which are available, what a big disappointment for me.

I have tried this once in store, for me this smells like encre noir sport, however the citrus and aquatic notes were replaced with the vibrant leather dna. the incence comes off as a smokey vetiver woody smell like in encre noire sport. it doesn't have the quality or longevity of encre noire sport and the price is very comparable.

Combine this with Acqua di Parma Colonia Club (new) or Mont Blanc Legend and you've got a very nice summer scent. As a standalone, it smells like pine more than anything to me, and it's longevity and sillage are miserable, but I love the scent.

This line is consistent in that it is a westernized mass appealing kind of scent with a totally disingenuous labeling theme for marketing purposes. This is not a powerful incense or smoky or leathery fragrance like you would find from a niche house labeled in this way, think Amouage and their bravery with smokes and leathers, or even a Tom Ford Tuscan leather for a more mainstream "authentic to branding" scent. That being said, considering this is a very deceptive label and therefore totally not viable for a blind buy, the scent profile is decent for a 30 dollar buy. The cologne is masculine and decent for a fresh dumb reach. There's something almost slightly akin to a Sauvage or Creed Aventus DNA going on here, although not exactly in this vein. The notes list also suggest this may be a clone or interpretation at least of Sauvage, which would not be a surprise at all given the house and the price point. If you're trying to clone sauvage, Ventana definitely gets closer, but Zara's encens in some sense may be a more ethically coherent way to get a scent profile that is similar without being an overt effort to copy exactly down to a T. Ultimately, it's okay. The scent is alright but the performance is terrible. By the second hour it's almost totally gone. For 30 dollars you can do worse, but you may also be able to do better. I'm a little salty about the branding not matching the scent profile, so that is also hurting this review.

This one actually smells really good but definitely doesn't fit the description. This one is more green than smoke and incense. I can see why people can be disappointed that this doesn't have true incense but it doesn't mean this one smells bad. I actually think it smells absolutely fantastic. The dry down is the best part which is rare for Zara since a lot of their fragrances have meh dry downs, but this one is green and piney and smells classy and sophisticated. I think Zara was going for a pine-smelling incense stick instead of an insense you would smell in church. Overall amazing especially for the price. Only paid $19 thanks to the summer sale. 9/10
