Zara Man Silver Summer

A fresh and unoffensive fragrance. Longevity is okay. Perfect for a casual summer day.

So my Zara Man Silver Summer is a bit weird. It is the 2019 Zara Man Silver (normal not Summer release) bottle with summer typed on it but with the 2019 notes in a tin with a gradient wrapping the mirrors the 2020 bottle colors. The entry on the Zara website goes as follows: "Aromatic eau de toilet. Fragrance includes notes of apple, cedar and orange blossom. A modern sporty and fresh fragrance." The fragrance is very much another Gucci Guilty pour Homme clone like many Zara Silver and Zara Man Silver releases have been. When I got my nose on Guilty in the past, it was very sweet and was close to Reveal Men by Calvin Klein. My Zara Man Silver Summer bottle is exactly that. Replace the pear boozy heavy open with a very sweet smelling apple note. So Zara Man Silver Summer is definitely modern. It then goes into a floral direction with the orange blossom which can smell fresh. The cedar isn't too distinguishable as it is basically a skin scent at that point. Performance like Gucci Guilty pour Homme I find is not great. Maybe for this reason it is "sporty" but it don't smell "sporty" if that makes any sense. It projects weak in high heat like Arizona. It lasts about three to four hours on me. I seem to remember that with the original Gucci Guilty. Use wise I can see this working office or perhaps date. Just know since it does smell like Gucci Guilty pour homme and Reveal Men, you might get "you smell like my brother, cousin or ex" comments. If you don't want that, move on. If you do want a Gucci Guilty smelling fragrance especially at the under $10USD it is going for on the US Zara website, why not? Overall I rate Zara Man Silver Summer a 6.8 out of 10. It is a better alternative to Gucci Guilty pour homme since you get nearly identical performance at a much lower price, but I do think Reveal Men and other sweet smelling fresh masculine fragrances like Paco Rabanne Invictus, Versace Dylan Blue or Azarro Wanted are far better and will get you more bang for your buck.
