Zara Seoul 532-8 Sinsa Dong Gangnam-Gu

This is not Invictus.. not. It's quite unique, I think - & the longevity is not similar to a much fragrance, but this is good & the frag snobs should eat their words & get over them. The name how're is ridiculous. As somebody who works in both S Korea & Europe, & knows a little about Korean culture, (& Koreans,) the name is completely ridiculous, but nevermind - obviously the rest of the world is beginning to realise that everything Korean is becoming the next big thing - & so we hv these dodgy names, but S Korea is not just "the latest trend" & certainly not a flash in the pan - & anybody who underestimates the country & the ppl will be surprised (pleasantly I think.) This is youthful, with some freshness & has a lot to offer, (much like the origin of it's name,) & I bought this for my fiance because I think it's pretty good - but ofc, he has a huge collection bc we both love fragrance collecting - he wouldn't wear this if it wasn't extremely decent quality & scent - he likes this for lazy Sunday mornings or mid week lunches - he has a lot of niche but neither of us will overlook something good because its Zara or whatever, so it won't be wasted. Zara hv Jo Malone on board, & other good noses - these "special" collections seem to regularly hv a few great options, & I wait for the new collections to be announced; & I actually like this v much. (In comparison, Invictus is ok, but I wasn't fussed about it.) The only criticism is it's maybe a little bit linear; it's not the most complicated fragrance but that's part of it's charm - it's simple, but chic - & the price makes it a bargain. (The bottle could be more like the Zara/Jo Loves WLTD type bottles for a better aesthetic; the plainer the better - this looks like the usual style bottle, from before those Jo Loves collabs.) I will say though, on here, some ppl with v little understanding of fragrances & chemistry say "ohhhh it's so synthetic - whenever they review something "cheaper" than Creed or MFK - & they really embarrass themselves; yes Creed (espc,) & MFK do use, some natural essences - but the majority of most fragrances are synthetic "these days" - even those, however s ome synthetics smell "cheaper" than others, that's all. I could write a detailed explanation of why - but won't since those ppl who say such things are not paying me to do so (& let's face it, my hourly rate would be far too expensive for those jokers!)

I have to say, this cologne smells absolutely amazing. In terms of scent alone, it may be one of the best colognes I have ever owned. Unfortunately, it has one of the weakest performances of anything in my collection, projecting for about an hour (if that), then becoming an intimate scent for the next 4-5 before fading. If you enjoy a discrete cologne, say for an office, or the gym, etc., any summer Zara scent is an amazing choice. However, if you prefer something that's going to announce your presence, you need to overspray, and I truly mean OVER-SPRAY. This thing needs a solid 10+ when you're trying to project for more than an hour or two. To match the performance of your average Lattafa or JPG, you're looking at upwards of 20 sprays, and I hate to admit but I have worn more than that (I may have underestimated how much was left in the bottle). For the price though, this is pretty damn good. I got it and 2 other Zara fragrances in a bundle (50ml each) for about $40 CAD (or $30 USD), so in my books its a pretty good purchase. If you are looking for something better performances wise, either Invictus by Paco Rabanne (the original fragrance this one is based off) or Rasasi Hawas (Never tried it myself but is arguably one of the most highly rated dupes for Invictus and male colognes in general; with an affordable price tag at discounters) should be stellar options. Overall, if you want a cheap, intimate and wonderful smelling fragrance, or if you are just starting out a collection, you really can't go wrong with this one. Definitely give it a try if you can!

As some people have noted here, there's a strong similarity to Invictus. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a clone, however. The open isn't as cloyingly sweet as Invictus, and there's no florals or woods in the drydown. If you like Invictus, you might like this as it's similar. If you don't like Invictus (like me), you'll like this because it's not exactly the same. The open is a lovely mix of citrus and aquatics, with just a hint of lavender. I don't get much nutmeg, but that may just be me. This settles into a lovely warm amber accord that sustains into the drydown. Nothing that's going to knock your socks off, but a nice well-balanced fragrance that I feel is much superior to Invictus. Also, cheap as chips! I paid under USD 20 for a 100 ml bottle, at that price it's very good value. Performance is average, I get around 4 hours on my skin with moderate sillage.

It's my favourite fragrance from Zara, the tangerine and marine notes are the most noticeable, it's very fresh and has the right amount of sweetness. It's let down by pretty bad performance, I haven't been able to get more than 3 hours out of this and it doesn't take more than an hour to lose almost all it's projection. It's a real shame because otherwise it would be my favourite summer fragrance, it has a slightly classy but young charm to it that makes it very versatile, you could wear it to work or to a casual hang out with friends and it would work great. I see the similarities to Invictus, but it's far from a dupe, this one is much fresher and sweeter. Still, if we are talking about scent alone I prefer this one.

Most of Zara perfumes never lasts on me but this one is difference. If you are living in a hot weather area and want something that refreshes everyone around you without breaking your bank - this is the one. Here is my personal scores. Scent : 7.5 / 10 - Good but nothing unique or special Longevity : 8 / 10 - Can lasts for more than 8 hours on my skin Sillage : 7 / 10 - Excellent projection for the first hour, good projection for the next 3 hours before come to skin scent. Price : 10 / 10 - Worth more than itself price. Safe Blind Buy : 8 / 10 - You won't regret this even you may not like it much. Compliments : 9 / 10 - Most women I encountered do like this one.

A fragrance conoisseur I knew back in the day told me this was the best bang for your buck in Zara, and now I think he's probably right. This is nice, sweet, fruity and youthful, but any age can wear it. You can also rock this all year round in my opinion. Too boring to become a signature scent, but it is really nice nonetheless. The "friendly" fragrance. Smells like clean blankets. Haven't smelled Invictus, but now I want to. It's mostly a linear fruity fragrance, and longevity is surprisingly good (around 7 hours), with nice projection within the first hour and a half. Overspray for better results. 8.25/10.

I like this a lot, more than Invictus. Invictus is more sweet and doesn't have the same notes that stand out in this one. For starters you can clearly smell the nutmeg in the opening, it reminds me of the opening you get in REPLICA By the Fireplace. In the dry down you get the same kind of vibe as you do with invictus but it's different. Yes both smell like a woody marine but the amber in this clearly stands out and overall smells better than Invictus. Scent - Smells like Bounce Dryer Sheets 9/10 Projection - 5/10 For a freshy it's really good Longevity - 6/10(hours) Impressive

For some reason I absolutely love this!😍🥰 I bought this from my friend whose boyfriend didn't find any use for this. And don't get me wrong, I understand, this is definetly nothing groundbreaking! But for some reason this sticks out for me from the masses of men's cologne that share the typical citrussy and aquatic notes. This is sooo addicting to me, when I wear this I constantly sniff my wrists😅 I wear this on days when I am in more androgyneous clothing and I want to get shit done. I voted this to be more masculine leaning, but I can see this on all genders.

I bought Zara Seoul yesterday, It's really fantastic, marine, clean and affordable!! I think It's better than Invictus or legend spirit. both are also really amazing fragrance, Zara seoul has very similar vibe with legend spirit and Invictus(and aqua) but Zara Seoul is more affordable price, more better scent in my opinion It has more brightness and less bubble gum vibe, It's amazing, Go for it and you will no regret if you like invictus, legend spirit (I can't found any differences with Zara Blue spirit It's almost samething)

Another good find in Zara! Completely agree with the "citrusy Nautica Voyage" comment. spot-on.. a nice combination of citrus and aquatic notes. definitely a summer go to...Do wish it had Voyage's longevity. Only lasts about four hours on me, but, for the price, can't complain. a good value fragrance. Update: Wore this on a hot day in South Florida and it really came alive. Smells great and longevity was actually not bad! definitely longer than the aforementioned four hours. A winner for the summer.

Absolutely a very pleasant surprise! I purchased this with Zara's Lisboa, because worth it. But this Seoul fragrance is start to grown on me! Fantastic. I like more than Lisboa. I don't know invictus, so I have no idea about how good clone it is or not. But this Seoul fragrance become my No1 scent for spring and rainy summer days. For my nose it is too sweet for direct sunlight and very hot summer days. But for spring and rainy summer days it's PERFECT.

Excellent fragrance: fresh, aquatic, floral (lavender) and slightly fruity (citrusy). Natural. Original. Good quality. Very very good smelling. One of the best scents I own for hot weather. Perfect for Summer but so fresh and clean that you can actually wear it all over the year. Cons: moderate projection and moderate to weak longevity. Like all Zara fragrances, a real bargain. I love it. Highly recommended if you don't mind to re-apply.

Invictus clone. Top notes of invictus are totally there. Doesn't develop much but it stays on for 6 hours and projects decent 2. Not bad at all, veeeery close to invictus, almost identical, just this is a bit powdery. Anyone wanting to try invictus before buying, get this. A lot of girls went, mmmm with this one.

I really wish the longevity and sillage were better for this one as the scent itself is unique, unisex and all-in-all lovely. But it's gone from my skin in as little as 10 minutes after spraying it.

Since this perfume was discontinued, I just can't get along without it. This fragrance stuck in my heart. Can someone suggest an alternative to it (most similar)?

This works suprisingly well in fall weather. Was not a fan of it at first, but I have since warmed up to it, and it smells really nice for this time of the year.

On my skin this is very long lasting don't proyect to many is close to the skin but the longevity is relly good.

I got Seoul 532-8 SINSA DONG GANGNAM-GU together with Zara San Francisco for only 6.99€ and Seould 532-8 Winter for only 4.99€ (on Zara website, Sale section). Both are very fresh fragrances. The classic one is more similar to Invictus with a stronger Tangerine in the first notes. Lucky me it doesn't last too long the tangerine, because for my nose it's way too "acid". For this reason I like mostly the winter edition, still citrus notes at the beginning, but way less strong. Classic edition has a better sillage and last forever. Winter one has lovely warm notes at the end, but doesn't last as long as the other one. I'm using it now just to see the reaction of work colleagues and friends. Since it's winter, I'm spraying a bit, since are so similar it's a good mix. A colleague stopped me in the corridors asking me which perfume was because it reminded him a good brand one. I think I'll keep it using it this way: I first use a scent free moisturizer on my neck, than spray the classic one (2 sprays) and than the winter (other 2 spray). For the price is very good quality. I got them without trying in the shop first. No regret so far (considering the very low price for 100ml bottles!)

I liken this to a citrusy Nautica Voyage. The opening, to a slight degree, smells synthetic, but after the first few minutes the fragrance becomes beautifully fresh - radiating prominent fruity citrus with a definite aquatic touch. By the time it reaches the skin scent level, I get hints of lavender and amber. It projects pretty well for 3 or so hours and I can smell it around me (without having to stick my nose into my skin) for 8+ hours. In general, I'd call the performance decent, but considering the price tag, it goes into exceptional territory. Edit: So I went and checked out Invictus today to see how similar (or dissimilar) these two are. I was actually quite surprised at the level of similarity - the only noticeable differentiating factor was that there's a stronger aqueous presence in Invictus, whereas this is stronger on the citrus sweetness. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say they're around 85% similar.

I had bought 100ml of this in Oct 2020, and at present the bottle has some 30ml left in it. Just realised how on earth I missed to post a review of this on fragrantica. Beautiful, this has a bubblegum freshness with a bit of sour aquatic profile, this was a good purchase! Has a smooth blend and is very close to Paco Rabanne Invictus (I had tested Paco Rabanne Invictus in one of the malls to just see if Zara Seoul was it's clone or not). I have noticed that Spanish houses like Zara and Nike are making good quality blends, and they don't have harsh openings. This makes them very good contender for clone market. But the perfumes have some longetivity issues, hence just a little more longetivity would make them very popular in clone buyers here in India. And Zara perfumes are very much affordable and provide reasonable pricing if we take practical terms like "purchasing power parity" into consideration.

It starts like a bitter and sweet fragrance, smelling a bit of petitgrain. I assume this is because there are lavender and tangerine inside. It changes the smell in 5 minutes and I can characterize it as a sweet, a bit floral, aquatic aroma with a bit of amber astringency. It does not change after that. I like this fragrance. It is affordable. It does not smell poor. I recommend this perfume to men between 16-32 years old. I do not agree that this aroma is good for summer, because it has a strong bitter smell. But it is okay for hot weather if you use it when you walk.

12 ml travel size, edt - blind bought in spring 2020. This is a nice fresh fragrance for men, suitable for warmer weather. As a female, I wasn't comfortable wearing it. I passed it to my dad who liked it. I think this is a scent for the masses, a scent to please many. I detect citruses the most, mandarin or similar with some nuts. Very smooth fragrance, nicely balanced. I've tried three men's fragrances from Zara and eight or so women's. So far all men's are very nice but with women's I ended up with more misses than hits.

Picked up a travel spray of this as well as a few others to try. This one is by far my favorite of those that I bought. Very fresh, fruity, a bit spicy from the prominent nutmeg, strong lavender, and a salty undertone. It definitely smells like Invictus, but this is a bit less sweet and a bit spicier. Performance, as is typical with Zara frags, is not great, but I get about 4-5 hours of longevity and about an hour of projection. Not great, but not horrible either. For $6.99 it's not a bad deal. 5/10

TheIndianReviewer This smells like Tangerine. Period. Like from start to end. Extremely linear. Stays for some hours 2-3 and then dissappears. The thing that stops me from hating this is that it’s tangerine smells bittery sweet sexy and fresh. So i use it every now and then. Otherwise it is a stupid scent. When to wear: I don’t see myself wearing it out. It is too linear, sharp and synthetic to me for that. I wear it casually in evenings. I’d wear this probably after gym.

Similar to invictus, but not a clone. It`s a really pleasant scent with (unfortunatelly) poor performance (1h of projection and 2-3 hours of longevity, on my skin). I did a side by side comparison with the Zara men blue spirit, and the BS killed it. If you like the seoul, try the w/end till 8pm. This one has even better performance then blue spirit, and has some similarities to seoul. Seoul summer is also a really pleasant scent, but too weak to be recommended.

As many have mentioned before, there are quite big similarities to Invictus for sure. But I would say it’s a lot weaker (performance) than Invictus and dies quite fast on my skin. In my opinion Zara Man Blue Spirit has better longevity and will still cary that Invictus vibe for you. But still Seoul 532-8 is a nice one, you just have to overspray and refresh every second hour. Edit: i woud say it is really, really close to Invictus with a more powdery drydown.

This is a refreshing scent suited for summer day time and can be pulled during hot humid nigths to lighten your feeling. Not sure if the pyramid is accurate but this frangrance reminds me of Hugo Boss Just different, as I currently own one, from the opening to the dry down. Very citrusy. Longevity = 5-6 hours Sillage = Moderate 2-3 hours Can be worn by any age group. Will suit the younger and energetic crowd.

El Cielo Pour Homme by Armaf Zara Man Blue Spirit Montblanc Legend Spirit and this, Zara Seoul 532-8 Sinsa Dong Gangnam-Gu I am sure there are more of them out there. Too many versions, so little time. Still enjoying this fragrance though. 7.8/10 UPDATE: I saw the official notes list on the backside of the box. This scent is exactly the same as Zara Man Blue Spirit.

@evieme the most obvious choice would be the summer version of this fragrance (Zara Seoul 532-8 Sinsa Dong Gangnam-Gu Summer). But if you want something similar within the same price range, I recommend King of Seduction Absolute by Antonio Banderas. To me it smells very similar, it just replaces the the tangerine in this fragrance for grapefruit.

Ok i absolutely love this! As many already said, it is very close to Invictus, without the woody spicy basenotes. This is my definition in a sentence. It is the best Invictus dupe I have ever tried. Killer longevity and sillage, it lives all day on my skin, stays for days on clothes. Much better value for money compared to PR Invictus.

I just gave Zara Seoul 532 a second chance. I enjoyed it much better, and I changed my opinion from "dislike" to "like". And getting close to "love". It seems to require about a dozen puffs to get noticed, and smells particularly well on the clothes. The pack that has Seoul + Lisboa (100ml each) is currently at 16 bucks. Amazing value.

Got this as a gift, and while it didn’t stick around in my collection for long, it’s a solid everyday scent. Fresh, clean, and easy to wear — perfect for everyday wear. Projection is better than expected, but the longevity leaves a bit to be desired. It’s not a standout scent, but it’s a safe pick that gets the job done.

I got the Seoul / Lisboa pack, and I love Lisboa, which I already reviewed, but this one not so much. Not a fan of the scent. Longevity and sillage are poor on my skin. Zara has many good fragances, but this one is not for me. You can check my reviews for other Zara perfumes that I like better. Cheers!

Cheaper version of Invictus to me, although it's a little sweeter and more synthetic. Still, it's great for the price. I usually wear Invictus in the morning and then spray Zara Seoul in the afternoon. It works well as an affordable backup when I don't want to use too much of my Invictus

I’m a lady and I think this is unisex. Quite wearable. Its got the sea notes and the hint of sweetness. I hate lavender and I am not picking it up here at all. Good for a quick freshen up Edit: this has GREAT performance! Everyone has been talking about how I leave a trail.

This is one of the best Invictus like fragrances. Longevity isn't the best but I got this for 7 dollars at Marshall's. For that it's a 7/10. I layer this with A&F First Instict Together. My favorite ones on hot summer days. Highly recommend it.

This is basically invictus without any of the spices. That fruit note overpowers everything, and it smells more like melon than tangerine to me. Aromatic and playful, not sexy. Longevity is moderate, sillage is good only for the first hour

I like this one, somewhat youthful but very fresh and smells wonderful in the air. Not sure if it projects off my skin the same. Primarily used this as a gym scent. Had a 30ml. wont rebuy but not mad at all at the purchase.

It's scary to see how many get influenced by a perfume brand. With a Paco Rabanne lebel all on their knees, with a Zara one it becomes, after half a sniff at the store with a damp mask on, synthetic and boring.

Very similar to Invictus. Great bang for the buck. Buy it in a double pack with Lisboa (AdG clone) and you are ready for spring and summertime. It is very youthful. So great for teenagers and beginners.

I'm finding that all of the Zara colognes I have are very good. This one is no exception. Great for super hot and humid summer days. Off-topic: The Zara in Center City Philadelphia recently closed🙁

More of PR One Million Lucky types. Sweet, aquatic, with a melon like scent, that's the calone you are smelling. It's not bad smelling, but the entire Zara store smells of this so..

Perfect cheap daily wear if you're going to the gym, groceries, or just at home especially during hot weather, however the projection is not good and does not last long.

I love the tangy opening but what follows is a harsh, synthetic smell. Make sure to spray this under many layers of clothes so they "filter" out the base notes.
