Abadi Saga

REVIEWER: 66yo professional gentleman with the mature, masculine, old-school tastes one would expect from a man my age. I've been collecting fragrances for several months now and have about 100 fragrances. ABSTRACT Zimaya Abadi Saga is a wonderful fragrance with no qualifications. The more I wear this gem, the more I really love it. For the price (Joma $23US), it is REALLY outstanding. It is subtle, unobtrusive and a terrific choice for date nights and more intimate occasions. If you want to attract attention, you'll probably need to reach for something else. CREED CLONE? If you're really wanting an accurate clone of Creed Absolu Aventus without the ridiculous cost, Saga probably isn't it. You'll likely be much more satisfied with Afnan Supremacy Collector's Edition (Amz $45US), or Club de Nuit Precieux I (Joma $47US). If it's the regular Creed Aventus vibe you're after, in order of accuracy I recommend: CDNIM Collector's Edition (Joma $60US), CDNIM EDP (Joma $30US), CDNIM EDT (Joma $27US) or or Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense (Amz $36US). [All prices are as of 1/12/2025] FRAGRANCE Right out of the box Saga was kind of rough, but not unpleasant. After a couple months of maturation it became delightfully smooth and exquisite. Although I purchased it as a Creed AA sub, I'm keeping and wearing it for its own excellent characteristics. I've got all those frags listed above to give me the Creed vibe, but Saga is really special on its own merits. If I were forced to compare Saga with something else in my collection it would be YSL Y le Parfum. Speaking of YSL Y, Saga's cousin, Abadi Opulent, is an outstanding inspiration of YSL Y Elixir. Highly recommend that one! OPENING The orange blossom and bergamot appear prominently at first but are submerged below the mids after about ten minutes. They do hang on quite a while underneath, but become elusive. After an hour I still get occasional whisps of each. DRYDOWN The spices (clove, cinnamon, cardamom) arrive next accompanied by the berry/floral/sweeter notes (black currant, rose, tonka). These are followed and supported by the deeper, darker earthy/woody notes (patchouli, moss, vetiver, sandalwood and musk). Despite the pyramid, I detect no ginger or pepper in Saga, at all. PERFORMANCE With two sprays from the decent atomizer on the neck and one on each wrist, Saga has moderate projection for about 30 minutes after application. Just enough time to meet a lady friend and not be obnoxious. The longevity is about 4 hours, perfectly adequate for a date. Oversprayers will probably experience better performance, but for clubs and outdoor use you'll probably need something else. IDK why people are so obsessed by performance over smell. For less than $20 you can get a half-a-dozen high-quality, non leaky travel sprayers and you can reapply your under-performing frags as often as you wish. And if you need more projection then just overspray. However, if you want to repel classy, high-value women with good taste, the easiest way is to overspray and come off like a douche. VERSATILITY Abadi Saga works great for every season of the year and any time of day. It's light enough for summer and strong enough for winter. Fresh enough for morning, deep enough for evening. It's also suitable for formal occasions. BOTTOM LINE: Scent:--------10/10 Longevity:-----6/10 Sillage:---------5/10 Versatility:----10/10 Value:---------10/10 These are just one man's humble opinions. Your mileage may vary.

Zimaya ~ Abadi Saga 2025 EDP: This has been Actively Aging for a month. Abadi Saga opens Citrusy, Aromatic, Ginger, Spicy with a light Floral note in the background. The dry down has strong Vetiver, Sandalwood and Pepper as main notes, with Moss, Cardamom and Patchuli in the background. If you prefer Darker, Mysterious, Smoky, Elegant and Sophisticated Gentleman scent, Abadi Saga might be what you are looking for. I get ~3-4 hours of medium projection, it's more like EDT level, not EDP when we are talking about such powerful and strong base notes. It has a relatively low viscosity, which supports my claim about EDT. The price of $27 for 100 ml makes up for it, but this could have been soooo much better for a few extra pennies. I haven't tested Abadi Saga in warm weather conditions. For me, this is something that thrives on cool and cold days.

This is my new favorite Aventus style fragrance that I own. I also have nitro intense and CDNIM EDP. This has better quality in the blend and just really smells refreshing. I bought this because of people saying it has a cola vibe and it does not disappoint. It’s pretty average in performance so it’s not weak but it’s not a beast mode fragrance. This is a really great fresh spicy fragrance that I highly recommend especially for the price $20-$25. This and opulent are really well done. I also have Inekas Luna from Zimaya and it’s really good quality as well. Don’t sleep on Zimaya.

Definitely in the wheelhouse of other Aventus type fragrances. It's close to Aventus Absolu, if that's what you're looking for. There's almost a Coca Cola with a slice of Lemon vibe in the opening, and I definitely smell the blackcurrent and the Rose notes. Overall, it's a very nice fragrance with a lighter and sweeter approach to the Aventus DNA. If you like Absolu, you'll like this. Maceration will no doubt improve the scent profile, so I'm going to store it for a few months and come back to it.

A solid take on the dna. But nothing to get super excited about. Get about 6-7hrs of longevity out of it right now with about 90 mins of solid projection. The best way I could describe this scent is if Montblanc Explorer had a Absolu take on the dna. If longevity improves as it sits id give it a 8.5/10. But for the time it will sit a solid 8/10.
