Al Embratur Absolu

To my nose, this opens like a spicier take on Parfums de Marly Percival. As it develops, it starts to feel like a blend of spicy Percival mixed with Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif. I’ve never personally smelled Invictus, so I can’t make that comparison—I’m strictly judging it against fragrances already in my own collection. Right from the opening, you’re greeted with a refined mix of spice, amber, and woods. The spice is noticeable without being aggressive—it adds character without overpowering the composition. The amber smooths everything out and gives it a warm, slightly resinous feel. The woods come across as sandalwood to my nose, which is where I pick up some of that Bleu de Chanel-style sophistication. The frankincense is also a standout, adding a subtle smoky nuance that gives the scent extra depth and maturity. For the price, this is borderline theft. The quality-to-value ratio is outstanding. Performance is absolutely beast mode—three sprays is honestly all you need, and this thing will command attention for hours. It feels tailor-made for fall and winter, though I could also see it thriving on cooler spring days. Overall, I’d rate this an 8.8/10.

Al Embratur Absolu Zimaya is a very masculine fragrance with a dark, gothic feel that really stood out to me. The bottle design is cool, but the scent itself is what makes it special — it has strong sillage, excellent longevity, and a very confident presence. You do not need to overspray this one at all. A couple sprays is enough, because it performs really well and easily gives you 8+ hours on skin. I know some people may say you can’t make a gothic fragrance with vanilla in it, but this one proves that wrong. It still comes across dark and woody overall, and the vanilla works best in the drydown where it adds smoothness and depth without making it smell too sweet. Overall, this is a great pick if you want something masculine, dark, and a little different, with real performance behind it. It smells like a very bold man’s fragrance, not a boy’s cologne — very adult, confident, and mature. It would also make a great cologne for anyone on a budget who likes dark, woodsy notes without oud, especially if you hate the smell of oud like I do.

Fresh out of the box first impressions. Warm, slightly gourmand amber with sprinkles of pepper in the opening. The woody notes immediately form a backbone. After about half an hour, the scent transforms into a glowing amber with a light vanilla haze, supported by a beautiful dry Virginia Cedar base. The scent wraps you in a cozy warm blanket as you gaze out the window at the swirling snow with a crackling Sandalwood fire in the back. #1633 in my “Tour de Fragrance” A note-for-note clone of Paco Rabanne “Invictus Victory Absolu.” As close as any of the clones out there come to the original. Long lasting, strong silage, versatile, inoffensive, and importantly, $100 cheaper than the Rabanne original. So it was 90 today I wore it cause why not. Amazing. People say it's mostly a winter spring fall nope it's all year. I think it's because it's sweet also and idk I ended up buying 4 more. Making this my scent.

Amazing. BEAST MODE PROJECTION AND LONGEVITY. French w**** vibes if you spray too much but in a good way gotta be careful cuz you could clear out a whole room with this thing

This is pretty good, woody, creamy, sweet with some spices, but very similar to victory elixir, so might be a little redundant if u already have elixir or any of its clones

They pretty much nailed the Invictus Victory DNA with this one. Lasts long and projects like crazy. Highly recommend as an alternative for much cheaper. Score: 4/5

Got this for 13 euros. One of my top 10 blindbuys. Its great right out of the box, good performance. It can only get better with time.

My bottle needed to sit for a few days after spraying, as initially it smelled almost identical to Zimaya's Invictus Victory Elixir clone (Al Embratur Elixir). All I could smell when I first sprayed it was the sweet Invictus DNA and not much else. But now it's had a chance to oxidize, I can now smell the cardamom and the black pepper in the opening, with the black pepper being the most prominent note. In the drydown, the creamy sandalwood, amber and frankincense add very earthy, smoky and incense like characteristics to the scent profile. Absolu is definitely a more masculine and mature take on the Invictus DNA, and is easily the darkest flanker of the line thus far. I really like this Absolu clone and it's a very good reproduction of the original, which I sampled in store. However, its peppery and spicy nature won't be for everyone. But just like Zimaya's Elixir clone, this Absolu version shares the same solid longevity and sillage. 8/10

Sweetness overload! This scents sweetness hit me as hard as when I blind bought Born in Roma Extradose. I've only smelled Invictus Vic. Absolu at department stores a few times and yeah for the most part it's 80-90% similar. Today is my first day wearing it to work so let's see how it performs on this 8hr. shift. I think this is one of the worst frags ive smelt in a long time, how synthetic and spicy it is. Its just not for me, do not blind buy, its very hyped online and especially by curly frag, its really weak as well in terms of performance, i dont know if its a horrible batch or it's just another failed creation

For those that don't know, Zimaya is a lesser known sub-brand of Afnan with really good quality. I really like Al Embratur Elixir, and honestly I feel like Absolu is a even nicer of a scent profile for me. It's richer and heavier. I've never smelled the OG (Invictus Victory Absolu) but I do love Invictus and just about all it's flankers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The scent: When I threw on Absolu it opened super strong. In the background it reminds me a lot of Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt (which I love). The difference is there was a very pronounced herb smell on the opening. I believe it must be the top note Cardamom that Absolu has, Listed as a top note is black pepper as well. Middle notes transition to into a VERY sweet amber, strong woody notes and ambergris. In the base we find Sandalwood, Frankincense, Musk (giving it some of the heaviness) and Patchouli. Overall I would describe it as a very amber heavy, sweet, smoky resin, and woodsy fragrance with some spicy kick in it from the black pepper and cardamom. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Wear: I asked my 2 girl employees what they thought of it, and they thought it smelled great but they told me it was honestly pretty over powering. This is a RARE statement by these girls and I always ask them for reviews. It was actually described as one of the thurible's that are burned in catholic churches because of it's resinous smokiness that it has to it. I sprayed it at 10:30. At 12pm the girls are still telling me it's a little overwhelmingly strong. But they do like the smell for the most part. I personally am loving the smell. Sometimes I'm a little sensitive to strong sweet smells. This however I am thoroughly enjoying at this point. Not only do I really like the smell itself, but I am also smelling it non stop and able to actually enjoy it. It's 2:30 now and the fragrance is still projecting about 8 inches off my skin. Still loving the fragrance. Very rich and heavy still. Fast forward to 8pm the fragrance is still very much hanging around in the air. But it's no longer projecting off my skin, instead it is coming strongly off my shirt. So this fragrance really sticks onto the clothes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rating: Longevity: 9.3/10 Sillage: 9/0 Scent score: 9/10 Overall score 9/10 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion: Absolu seems to be a little polarizing. And I'm saying this because for a portion of the time I was wearing it, the 2 people I was around thought it was too overpowering and sweet after only 5 sprays. A woodsy sweet to be exact, not gourmand. However I personally really like / possibly love the scent profile. At the end of the day I always recommend for you to try it first and wear it if you like it, even if others around you don't. But do be mindful wearing this fragrance, if your in a enclosed area, 2/3 sprays might actually get you through the day. I'm happy to report this is a GREAT performer and well above average. Sweet, salty, spicy and woody fragrance. The opening is peppery, spicy and sweet but settles quickly to make room for the ambergris. It is a very prominent note in this fragrance, which is what makes for this aquatic salty-soapy musky smell. It's quite unique to have this note in a spicy fragrance, at least to have it be as prominent as in this one. I find that ambergris amplifies the base note of musk a lot and almost makes it kind of 'stinky', especially when there's also patchouli -- I'm not sure how to feel about it in this fragrance. It feels half blue, half spicy and these profiles typically don't mix that well. I'll let this sit for a couple of months and hopefully it'll improve.

I was searching for a unique cologne and really liked Rabanne Invictus Victory Absolu but found it just a little too expensive. When I heard about this scent I figured it couldn’t be that bad. When I got it I felt it was close to what I remembered IVA smelling like, and I just smelled it again in the airport, not side by side, but best I can guess it’ll say it’s 90-95% close. VERY good scent and very close to the OG. I got a number of compliments from my co-workers when I wore it. Definitely good all year long.

Yeah this is worth every penny. It def as close as a 1 to 1 as youll find. Performance and quality is upper tier as far as cheapies go. I wasvery pleasantly surprised with this one. Would also call this one as close as blind buy safe as they come as well
