Fatima Velvet Love

Finally - Frangrantica!! I have been waiting for Fatima Velvet Love to be added to the index. This fragrance is so different than all of my other fragrances. The fruit notes blended with the aquatic notes make it very juicy... I don't get any ylang ylang but I do get hints of the white florals listed. The caramel is ever so slight and sweetens it up while the musk and sandalwood ground it. It's an extrait de parfum so the sillage is quite strong. FVL is one of my favorite perfumes and the bottle and presentation are stunning!

Stunning aquatic and sweet floral notes. I’ve smelled other aquatic perfumes that are just terrible, but this one is so, so fresh. It’s sweet, you really can’t go wrong with it. The pear really stands out, and it feels incredibly fresh, like you just came out of the shower. I love the fact that even its fresh, the DNA is original, its not a regular shampoo scent. A perfect everyday daytime perfume, a lovely one.

The first impression was disappointing, I thought I made a mistake with this purchase. I smelled a terrible strong, overwhelmy, ambery scent, with a dirty, sweaty undertone. After a few days, a lot changed, the disturbing notes disappeared and I got a pleasant, sweet, fruity floral scent. I like it. I'll let it macerate further, I'm sure it will be even better and heavenly in the summer.

This is a really clean, fresh perfume. It reminds me a bit of a modern spa. The aquatic notes and pear really come out and whenever I wear it it gets commented on that it smells very fresh. It is perfect for warm weather.

I’ve been waiting for Fragrantica to list this perfume for ages!! The combination of passionfruit and aquatic notes is stunning! The scent DNA is very unique I haven’t smelt another fragrance similar to this. 8/10

When I first sprayed it, I couldn't smell anything and thought it was just mild alcohol. Then when it dried down, I finally can catch the real scent. Fruity, a bit sweet and a bit musky. It literally is a skin scent. Quite pleasant, but too weak for my liking.

It's VERY floral. Honestly, if you're not a floral lover, I think you won't enjoy this one. Even for someone who likes florals in moderation (me) this was just too much. Right from the first spray, it feels incredibly strong and almost overwhelming. I personally found it a little headache-inducing because of how intense the floral notes are. I kept waiting for the fruity notes to come through, but I honestly couldn't detect them. The caramel in the base was also completely missing. To me, this is just a straight-up floral fragrance from beginning to end.

I'm not one to use the word "hate" lightly, but I hate this fragrance. It is indescribably awful. I gave it to my teenage stepdaughter and she didn't want it either.

I bought this perfume as a dupe for perfume de Marley Palatine as the notes on the website say they’re identical however I have just checked and the notes have completely changed on fragrantica?? Very confusing. Anyways I hated this perfume, if you buy it, it will not grow on you or macerate. It smells like a manly grandma!! It’s definitely unisex, it’s very cologne-y.

This looks like palatine, but it doesn't smell like it. It's the same kind of category of fragile flowers, fresh, slightly soapy, slightly aquatic. Very appropriate for young people, but it's not even trying to be Palatine in smell.

This is straight up a heavy lavender perfume. It smells like an air freshener for the bathroom and gives me a headache. Its not good at all, and ive had it for over a year and its not gotten better.

This smells very, very similar to Paris corner's juicy melange. Except this one is less harsh and in your face. I like this one better.
