Noor Oud

I remember the first time I wore Noor Oud by Zimaya, it was a chilly evening, perfect for testing out a fragrance with such a rich, oriental character. As soon as I sprayed it, I knew this scent wasn’t just an ordinary cologne, it was an experience. The first thing that hit me was the soft, velvety rose. Not just any rose, but one that feels like it’s been delicately kissed by the warmth of saffron, adding an exotic, almost mysterious touch. It felt like stepping into an opulent room draped in deep, rich red fabric, where everything is just a bit more luxurious than the world outside. As the evening wore on, the oud began to bloom on my skin. It added a smoky depth, wrapping me in a comforting yet bold warmth that felt incredibly sophisticated. The balance of rose and agarwood is masterful, neither overpowering the other, but blending seamlessly in a way that made me feel like I was wearing something truly special. But it was the dry down that really sealed the deal for me. When the notes of vanilla, praline, and amber started to come through, I couldn’t help but smile. There’s something about that sweet, creamy finish that feels like a warm embrace, lingering long after the first spray, creating an aura that’s both inviting and addictive. I wore it to dinner that night, and the compliments started rolling in. People were intrigued, they could sense something luxurious, something captivating, but couldn’t quite put their finger on it. That’s the beauty of Noor Oud. It’s not just a fragrance you wear; it’s one that tells a story, leaves a trail, and stays with people long after you’ve left the room. If you’re looking for a fragrance that’s bold yet elegant, that stands out without screaming for attention, Noor Oud by Zimaya is the one. It’s the kind of scent that makes you feel confident, sophisticated, and unforgettable. Trust me, once you wear it, you won’t want to wear anything else.

This is going to be one of my faves. The oudh and rose is a bit stronger in the opening, but still very prominent when it gets to the heart. Vanilla and Oudh is the strongest smell here to me (praline helping the sweetness), but the rose, saffron and amber play so well together with it and very noticeably even in the dry down. Very long lasting (definitely over 6 hours of wear) and really nice sillage. It’s going to leave an addictive trail wherever you walk. It’s Unisex overall with the slightest masculine lean because of the oudh. If you have a sweet tooth and enjoy complex sweetness with warm woods with some rose, you’re gonna love this. My partner complimented me today wearing it so that’s icing to the cake for me.

This is a more slightly subtle version of Shaghaf Oud by SA. The olfactory journey is so close to Shaghaf Oud, the differences are negligible. The longevity is good, sillage is nice and longevity is above average.

This had simply became one among my favourites, it’s absolutely amazing scent, long lasting too. It is somewhat similar to Oud Mood from Lattafa, but this is sweeter, and I prefer this over the one from Lattafa.

Nose Note #986 Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian is one of my most favourite scents ever. I hoped that Noor Oud would be just identical, but for half the price. A miracle didn't happen. Right from the start there's major difference. Noor Oud has this one piercing screeching note similar to what saffron or dates can be. Shaghaf Oud is perfectly smooth from beginning to the end. They definately offer very similar experience, but this piercing thing is really bothering me. To me this difference is not subtle at all. DDRH below wrote that "differences are negligible". In the overall idea - they are negligible, but in terms of quality or the ingredients, I don't know, the difference is significant to the extant that I love and enjoy Shaghaf Oud any time. Noor Oud I cannot enjoy as much. Unisex. Shaghaf Oud is a bit stronger, but here again they are similar. 7.5/10, not a substitute for Shaghaf Oud. My next prey will be Sheikh Al Shuyukh Luxe Edition
