Stallion

I recently added Zimaya Stallion EDP to my fragrance collection, and I have to say, it’s quickly become one of my favorites. From the moment I first sprayed it, I was struck by how bold and confident it feels. I First Impressions: I was greeted with a fresh, citrusy opening that felt energizing and uplifting. It’s bright and attention-grabbing, but not overwhelming. As the scent settled, I noticed a spicy, slightly peppery heart that added depth and intrigue. It’s warm and inviting, yet undeniably masculine, though in a a more intriguing way. The dry-down is where it really won me over; a rich, woody base with hints of amber and musk that lingered on my skin for hours. It’s the kind of scent that people notice and compliment, which always feels great. Performance: The performance of this fragrance is above average, especially at this price point. I sprayed it on in the morning before heading to work, and I could still catch whiffs of it well into the afternoon. The sillage is just right, It’s strong enough to leave a trail, but not so overpowering that it feels intrusive. I’ve worn it to the office, and even on casual outings, and it’s performed beautifully in every setting. Versatility: What I love most about Zimaya Stallion is how versatile it is. It’s not tied to a specific season, though it woudn't probably be appropriate in warmer/hottest summer days and eves, as the warmth of the amber and musk feels perfect anywhere between fresh and breezy spring days and nights and cold, windy and rainy winter time. It’s equally at home in a formal setting as it is in a more relaxed, casual environment. It’s become my go-to fragrance when I want something that feels sophisticated but not overly formal. Packaging: The bottle itself is sleek and masculine, with a dark, almost mysterious vibe that matches the scent perfectly. The atomizer sprays evenly, and I appreciate how a little goes a long way. It looks great on my shelf, and the design feels premium without being flashy. Value for Money: For the quality and performance you get, Zimaya Stallion is an absolute steal. It feels like a high-end designer fragrance, but it’s priced much more affordably. I’ve tried fragrances that cost twice as much and don’t come close to the longevity and complexity of this one. It’s a fantastic value, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a signature scent that won’t break the bank. Final Thoughts: Zimaya Stallion EDP has earned a permanent spot in my rotation. It’s bold, versatile, and well-lasting, and it makes me feel confident every time I wear it. If you’re looking for a fragrance that combines freshness, spice, and warmth in a way that feels unique and memorable, give it a try. I’m already planning to grab a backup bottle because I don’t want to run out anytime soon. Highly recommend! Stallion opens with a sharp scent that recalls the crispness of a high-end men's shower gel. The initial impression is fresh and citrusy, with an accord of refined suede leather that is noticeable from the very beginning. Interestingly, it carries a playful, bubbly quality, evoking the sensation of floral laundry. Mandarin notes make a brief, pleasant appearance without being overly sweet, but they fade during the mid-phase, allowing a hint of tart saffron to add a layer of complexity. As it transitions into the drydown, the composition becomes smoother and more mature, evolving into a warm, herbal, and woody base. Even then, it retains an airy and ozonic quality suitable for summer wear while remaining versatile for year-round and all-occasion use. The projection is strong, with excellent longevity throughout the day. While it leans masculine due to its fresher notes, Stallion remains an accessible and well-balanced composition for everyone. The bottle itself is elegant and high-quality, featuring an intriguing closure design. Even the color of the bottle is well-matched to the overall theme of the fragrance. Regarding its similarities, while Lattafa Masa tends to be more crystalline, metallic, and futuristic, Stallion is comparatively simpler, more approachable, and easier to wear. It somehow successfully captures the essence of Zara's secret molecule (a distinct, recurring scent I noticed lingering in most of Zara fragrances), making it somewhat reminiscent of Elevated Oud, with its sweeter attributes removed, blended with an exquisite shower gel scent. Unlike Masa, which leans towards an otherworldly aura and is said to closely resemble Ganymede, Stallion is a mass-appealing, straightforward, yet refined bluish composition of high quality. The closest they get is in the deep drydown. In the end, I much prefer the more complex Masa over Stallion, yet they are different enough to keep Stallion in my collection too since it stands strong on its own and is also quite unique. Accidentally came across this fragrance and more or less bought if for the price of a cheesburger with fries (16 Euros) after a quick glance at Fragrantica. It's much better blended than I expected, very different from most fragrances in my collection (and indeed from what the vast majority of people are wearing) and pretty versatile as well. It has this fresh, peppery and leathery feel to it that commands respect - think of a local no-nonsense wealthy businessman who drives around town in a Jaguar - and is very inviting at the same time, insane value for money! Absolutely no complains about the performance. It's my first fragrance from Zimaya, but will definitely look more into the brand after this experience. For the money? Easy a 9.25/10 ! Edit: I wore it yesterday on a pretty warm (25 degrees Celsius) summer night and 6 hours after application it all of a sudden became fresher and fresher, at first I thought it was someone else's fragrance. Could still smell it 10 hours later. Didn't expect it, but very nice anyway. Got 2 compliments as well.

GET IT..!!. (Now my review can be biased as this is very nostalgic and it's one of the scents I have been chasing my whole life without knowing) To me from the frst spray it reminded of an expensive ice cream we had occasionally as kids (not sure what flavour it was). So my overwhelming appraisal should be taken with a few tablespoons of salt lol. IMO, it's a very unique and kind of fresh fragrance, not your shower gel fresh kind but more like opening the ice cream section fridge on a summer day kind of fresh, a burst of sweet frozen items scent. Absolutely AMAZING (to my nose lol) Regardless, one has to applaud the smoothness and performance of the scent at such a low price. Which is very scarce in these dupe houses. Sprayed it around 30+ times within a 2 hour frame and enjoyed every minute, without choking myself or ppl around me. For the first time I might but the original (Ganymede) through a dupe reference ..hahahah.

Had a sample come through for this a couple of weeks ago, and out of the 15 I had this stood out head and shoulders above the rest. The opening is absolutley awful, I'll get this out the way. When I first spritzed it on I was about to keyboard warrior it on some of these positive reviews.... But just 2 or 3 mins later it loses that overly smoked leather/spice/something narsty vibe. (I did dig my nose in right after blasting though) After that opening I started to love it! This does not smell 1:1 to Ganymede at all. But it will put you in that Ganymede/Bois imperial DNA category. Just with added elements of powdery immortelle and that delicious violet. For me this is full bottle worthy, can't attest for performance but it smells like it would last. Will update when the bottle arrives. But on first impression, a worthy and surprising 8/10 from Zimaya!

It's very impressive what you get for your money these days. This could easily be a designer. Before it was designers with niche quality, now it's clones with designer quality. I don't think I've smelled Gynamede so I can only judge this on its own merit. A lot of the frags coming from the clones houses I feel are unisex leaning one way or the other. It's refreshing to smell something that smells manly. It does have a slight 90s early 00s throwback to it, but I don't mind that. It's good. It's really good actually. And with a great performance. There's not a lot out there atm that smells like this, but I would still call it a safe blind-buy considering the price. And I promise, if you don't like it a friend will. This is a perfect rotation filler. And I've definitely had more expensive and less interesting characters fulfilling that role.

Saffron juicy opening pleasant although a touch acidic. The midtones give me an impression of something difficult to describe. It is woody but metallic, hiding a warm spicy, sour core. Like and extraterrestrial thing, a fine luxury infinitely detailled carved wooden object hiding a sour-spicy core. The perfume wants to show elegance but cannot leave freshness behind. There is no citrus notes to smell, stallion distances itself from nearly every other woody-fresh fragrance. Duration at least 7 hours. For the price impressive performance overall.

This one is very very impressive. Never smelled Ganymede, but this one is so manly. Like grown up man with affinity to not be overlooked. It could have last longer and I do get 4-5 hours on skin with a surrounding bubble for around 1,5-2 hours. On clothes stays much longer. Fairly secure blind buy if you are over 25 years and want to experience something very powerful.

I don't know what Ganymede smells like but this is a really nice, good performing perfume. Fresh, herbal and woody. Great price point too. Seems well blended and comes in great packaging and a heavy bottle (The top is heavy but bizarre). The dry down stays fresh and herbal. It's a good one from Zimaya and unique too.

Never smelled Ganymede but blind buying this is worthy every dollar top longevity and projection for 30$ l tested this morning one spray and smelled even 11hours later

reminded me of the bad quality ice cream i had as a kid, during the dry down it gives me a blast of citrus. Wonderful buy i def got my moneys worth

A very distinctive aromatic/citrus. Unique in my collection and very potent with a good silage. Comes in a really solid bottle. I love this.

I’m a fan. Huge fan! Now I wonder what Ganymede smells like because this is fantastic!

*Update* There is a "laboratory" vibe to this but I still love it. It's unique.

I've had Zimaya Stallion for several months. Here is what I have learned now that I include in my collecting UAE fragrance "clones" (and some that are not obvious clones) from the likes of Zimaya and Alhambra, along with their parent brands: 1) Zimaya and Alhambra operate like Zara with so many fragrance launches a year, and new ones each season. And like Zara, many fragrances don't stay around for more than six months at the "easy to buy at low price" vendors. For several months, the new fragrances are sold through European discounters for the real price - 15-25 USD equivalent. And they are snapped up quickly. Unfortunately this means FOMA may logically apply: buy it now or you'll never get a chance again. Or it will be at a jacked price if it has become a hit. It's a delicate dance. 2) The fragrances have just been made and many of the varieties need to sit in the bottle for some time to blend well. This is frustrating to the customer, for a number of reasons, for example if he or she doesn't have many fragrances and wants to buy it and wear one now! It complicates the point at 1) because when you wait for the time it will be ready and at its best, and then you discover you like it, you may not find a backup bottle for yourself at the budget price, or to make a modest gift to a friend. If the fragrance has been a commercial hit, the company will keep producing it so it may stick around for a year or two. But the supply chain will not deliver it to the customer at the original cheapie price. If the fragrance is not a hit, it seems to be discontinued, or barely exported to Europe. And the price has soared as well. I bought Stallion for under 20 USD equivalent and today my search reveals Zimaya is available from 30 to 100 USD equivalent. 😵💫 (Edit 6 July - see, it's back down again, at 15 USD.) There have been name changes and bottles changes on these fragrances, complicating it more. Sounds like Zara again. Remember, these are commodities. Now the Stallion scent. Well it's a reasonable facsimile of a Quentin Bisch style fragrance (which people say it clones). And you always have the option to buy a UAE perfume created by Bisch, with Teriaq Lattafa... Stallion is light and aromatic leaning into the camphor side of violet leaf, but not the gasoline. Yes to the light suede leather and maybe slight unburnt incense stick. I am a huge fan of violet leaf in fragrance so I like Stallion. It is artistic for USD 20. It's very light by no means a powerhouse. Not an "EDP". I seem to remember it was stronger when I bought it, which is counterintuitive, since I generally expect UAE clones to get stronger with time. If you are not a fan of clones but want a budget violet leaf by a talented nose who can work brilliantly with any quality of materials, look for Nathalie Lorson's work with violet leaf such as Paul Smith Men or the discontinued but delicious Beckham Beyond Forever, which was briefly a 10 USD gem from online discounters. FOMO indeed. A final thing I have learned is I enjoy the social media, which has become a delightful component of my collecting the new wave of UAE fragrances, along with the price. I enjoy watching and following Youtube fragrance commentators from all over the world now. Many are such charming people and they are presenting from such diverse lives and experiences. I find this enriching because it's an arm-chair adventure in travelling and education. I look forward to it every week in the same way I enjoy a TV series!

I had the chance to visit the Afnan LC in Dubai two weeks ago, and after testing some of the colognes I wanted to blind buy, I fell in love with this one. The scent is distinctive. With the first spray, you catch a whiff of fresh, orangey leather. After approximately 30 minutes, it evolves into a more green, woody leather aroma. It is quite versatile and can be worn on either casual or formal occasions. I must say, it’s fantastic. 8/10 Regarding performance, it offers up to 8 hours of longevity, with great projection for the first 2 hours. 7/10 Cons: The packaging and atomizer are mediocre. Quite linear which makes you noseblind easily. I purchased it for 80 AED (~25$) and believe it has good value.

Yes, it does remind of Ganymede, even tho it's more leathery somehow, I'd say we're 80% close to the original here. I have to agree with the review below mine, I remember the fragrance being stronger too when I bought it, it feels like it got weaker rather than stronger after some months, maybe I just go noseblind to it (?). It's nice, not blind buy worthy imho.

Nothing similar to one of my favorites - Ganymede. Absolutely nothing. If you want Ganymede substitute, this one is not a candidate. UPD: that is really strange, but after a month on shelf it started to smell like Ganymede :-/

I can safely say the reviewer below doesn't know what OUD actually smells like. He or she can still hate or dislike it but this does not have Oud.

Great formal non offensive very lightly sweet leather elegance. Opening is not offensive. But not what you're after. The drydown is 👍
