Elixir de Bombe

Intoxicating indeed! Intensely fruity, fresh orange and raspberry, with lots of warm spices pepper ginger. I am getting Christmas vibes even though it's not really your typical Christmas scent. Da bomb diggity! Like a fuse it ignites- upon initial wear, i was underwhelmed- no hate nor dislike just no love becuz it reminded me of Map of the Heart, a freshie w fruit. 10-15 minutes later, it transformed into a sweeter state. Unique, wearable and totes enjoyable-Needs to project more and last longer otherwise RATED TNT DYNOMITE!

Not bad! a modern parfum, amber and spicy at the same time. The predominant notes are amber and ginger. Not particularly original but somehow I like it... it's unisex and I think it could be ideal for cold days. I'll try other perfumes 27 87. This scent is really incredible! The most beautiful and unique aroma I've encountered in a long time. Fruity at first, but quickly transforms into an intoxicating aroma. The aroma is quite long-lasting. Incredible, a contemporary fragrance that is both amber and spicy. It's fantastic.

Registered just to write that this is the most gorgeous and original scent I have come across in a while. It will be my signature scent for the foreseeable future. The brand has some really amazing and unique scents and I highly recommend the discovery set

This perfume is simply amazing! Fruity start, but then an addictive fragrance unfolds. Very long-lasting fragrance. Unidentifiable, the scent marks on my skin on dancing. Incredible work!

Such an amazing combination of notes. Spicy, juicy, sweet and mild, but so weak!

It opens spicy and fruity, perhaps it ́s the ginger or red pepper in the beginning that was something unique and exciting, balanced by some pink fruit and caramel in the background. I loved the first few seconds after spraying it and I thought it was a great piece of art until... the spiciness just faded away, just in a few seconds, leaving only the sweetness that started smelling like the perfumes you wore when you were 16. Or maybe I just don't like caramel type of scents that much. This is definitely more feminine that unisex. I see it was supposed to be something confident and sensual but to me it feels too girly and mainstream, nothing that I haven't smelled before. It ́s not bad but just not for me.

This is far from your regular run of the mill gourmand! It doesn't come across as very gourmand at all, despite the notes. The leather, chili and ginger are all very present, something that makes this scent a bit harsh. I find the opening quite brutal tbh! My nose stings and for a few minutes it is a little like breathing poison. But Elixir de Bombe addictive in it's uniqueness too, it gets sweeter and more tolerable as time passes. Eventuelly it does turn into more of a spicy, fruity amber with a sassy kick. Nice! Update: the more I wear it the more I love it. The best thing is how unique and querky it is.

Sweet and somewhat astringent. I have been scratching my head what tis reminds me of. There was some kind of bugspray way back in the 80s. Now dont get me wrong but I kind of liked the smell. Would I wear this as a perfume? No. One of these niche experiences that is fun but not feeling it.

The rose depicted in the middle notes of the perfume pyramid is wrong, it should be a rock rose, labdanum, as stated in the text above. In the "Main Notes According to Your Votes" the rose doesn't show up ... which proves that the fragranticans who voted have an excellent sense of smell

It definitely smells fruity Did I like it .. no Was it bad .. no Different than anything I’ve smelled before although not something I was very fond of The plus points I’d give it is for the unique factor anything else wasn’t very impressive The only thing that stood out to me is the performance especially on my skin It lasted on my neck for a whole day even more than 10 hours Until I try the next scent from the brand but this one I didn’t enjoy

The start is promising with its interesting fruit mix, which quickly fades into quite generic feminine creaminess.

"Boom! There it is, the very moment when you just go for what you want without hesitating". Or at least that's what some of the marketing for Elixir de Bombe says. In all honesty, this is beyond mid for a niche house, achieving nothing more but a fruity-sweet feminine-leaning composition that neither stands out, nor justifies the price. Right from the start, a very obvious synthetic accord jumps in, and it accompanies throughout most of the wear. How generous. A juicy tangerine paired with berry-like pink pepper greet you, whilst also incorporating some ginger warmth that also lends a bit of spice. Not a bad opening, just not remarkable. Things turn sweet rather quickly as the raspberry enters the stage, and it immediately sets the tone to fruity-sweet. It is gently tangy and tart, which does find decent chemistry with the creamy attributes derived from ylang-ylang, which simultaneously reminds of sunscreen. Cistus barely so manages to stand out, and no particular resinous facet is added; mostly just a mellow honeyed sweetness over the fruitiness. And speaking of honeyed, that basically paves the way for an amber-leading base to join, holding hands with a caramel note that's not particularly rich or realistic, just sweet and somewhat sticky. Regardless, these two hide a faint leather accent that never quite fully introduces itself. On my skin, longevity sits around 9-10 hours, which is quite good, but projection doesn't quite match that. Apart from a rather potent first hour, the fragrance would leave a faint trail behind with not a lot of pushing power, settling completely into a skin scent by hour 4. But in this particular instance, I feel like most other people would manage to get more out of it in terms of projection, being just another case in which my skin wants to be difficult. Elixir de Bombe won't really be an all-year round Swiss Army knife, as its sweetness mostly ties it to cooler weather. Apart from that, the scent profile is quite mass-appealing and it will work fine in most situations... for a woman. I can hardly see this pulled off by a man, as it really leans heavily on the feminine side. So Elixir de Bombe is not a statement piece, nor a particularly unique composition or a bomb that exploded and took the market by storm. It's just a very unimpressive concoction of a DNA that has many iterations out there. And for €185 for 87ml (€95 for 27ml), I just struggle finding this worthwhile; many other takes on the DNA out there that are better made and less evidently synthetic. But, I guess it's true what the brand said: "There it is, the very moment when you just go for what you want without hesitating". So if you want it and like it strong enough, price becomes but a number. was hoping for more... I loved the notes. Honestly, I was hoping for a seductive hot mistress. Alas, no. Started off with a blast of raspberry, tangerine and some ginger in the background. Red pepper, barely :( This calmed down a bit in the middle, less fruit punch, bit more substance, okay, but nothing spectacular. The drydown is a sweetish, slighthly tangy rose. Can barely smell it after 3 hours. Alas, my unicorn hunt continues. Can we bring frags with character back please?

Orange-leaning citrus sweetness, rose, an ambery feel, and a lot of sugar! It’s like popping an orange & ginger candy into your mouth. It doesn’t feel like one of those recent generic releases. It has its own DNA and, in my opinion, a real sense of originality. Still, it’s a hard pass for me. The sweetness is unnecessary and it suffocated me. Tag(s): sweet, orange-y, candy

The more I read about Mark Buxton creations, the less I understand what is so special about them. This "elixir' is a diluted fruit punch which develops into highly-deluted one shortly. I regret even of buying a sample... Thumbs down.

It's like chewing caramel and strawberry gum at the same time. Quite a synthetic scent, I don't like it.

Fresh and juicy raspberries without usual syrupy and/or powdery feel, tickling red pepper and ginger, some leather further back. Then comes fluid caramel sweetness, juiciness is still present, however by now the perfume is slightly verging to lipstick scent. I also smell quite a bit of roses further into drydown - I am quite sure, that this is not just raspberry. More than a moderate projection, lasting for some 10 hours (skin scent at the end). Suitable for all year round wear, however in summer I would save it for evenings. Leans feminine. I expected more extravagant scent, yet I quite enjoy its festive feel and tasteful flirtiness. Sensual and elegant at the same time. There are some interesting facets, however Elixir de Bombe stays in the realm of designer fruity florals and fruity ambers. Pretty and pleasant. Quality is there for sure, yet I feel one can relatively easy find other better suiting alternatives.

Raspberry tangerine leather. Raspberry, leather, ginger, & tangerine. The usual raspberry leather blend with extra tangerine, and ginger. and i just realized that it's another version of "Charles Street" by Mark Birley and i just read that it is a creation of Tom!! Edit (5th Oct 2017) well.. as the owner asked Tom to create a sexy fragrance, well... it is the commercial slutty from the 90s! The cheap perfume when women makes fun of other women either from look or reputation back then! They keep on saying "that B$#ch with cheap perfume", "Elixir de Bombe" is that cheap perfume. It's not the cheap ingredients cause it's not, but the blend and the notes order used does form that cheap perfume expression. It is an overly sweet and cloying sugary raspberry stuff.

I loved this one so much more on a tester strip than I did on skin. It doesn’t project very well on skin (have to press nose to skin) but at the very least does last a good amount of time (~6 hrs). This has a spiced kick of an opening with a hint of fresh ginger. The name works for the opening solely as it’s a bomb like spicy medley, but the heart of this tones it down a ton. It’s a caramelized raspberry with hints of sweet rose. The rose is stronger than I personally enjoy, but a rose lover may enjoy it way more. The dry down has a rich a leather and warmth, paired with a fruity sweetness. Scent isn’t bad, just isn’t my favorite once put into practice.

I have just received the sample set and the one fragrances that stands out to me is Elixir dr Bombe. A really unique stand out that has something cheerful as well very “grounding” in it. It smells maybe like a Christmas cookie with some fruits, but without that distinctive Christmas vide if it makes any sense. Quite versatile ❤️

The opening is great! You can really feel red pepper with tangerine, then raspberry comes and this combination is amazing. Unfortunately in 15 minutes all the spiciness is disappearing and it’s just a very simple raspberry. If it would stay more complex through the whole time, I’d definitely get it. But unfortunately no..

This is so unique and lovely. Initially you’re hit with the red pepper and citrus, but then it quickly turns into a sweeter caramel blend of spicy and freshness. This is definitely unisex to my nose. I love this for summer! Lasts ALL day too 🙌🏻

Oh, this is so modern Baxton perfume. It is bright, pink and so-so fruity gourmand. However, there is Mark's signature inside - refined and elegant. If you love and appreciate works of this artist, Elixir de Bombe is your must-try.
