Eat Flowers

'White woods' have been easy to identify in Sarah's creations now as they have a slightly rough texture to them; scratchy, almost nose tickling. It's not bad, they just add a strange synthetic quality to the fragrances that are either fortunate or unfortunate. In Eat Flowers' case, it's very fortunate and adds a frail backbone when anything stronger would've been too much. The creaminess of the tuberose is evened out by it, the osmanthus is recognisable after about an hour and reminds me a little of Confessions of a Garden Knome. This is a bizarre floral, but not an uncomfortable one. Will require further wearings but I daresay it's a win on my skin. Edit: it's a total win, even in the cold winter weather. Lasted around 7 hours and I'm getting a bottle.

My god this one is gorgeous!! I usually like niche sweet scents, but this one caught me by surprise when I got it. It's floral, but it doesn't smell like a grany. It just has the sensuality of a flower that has a very slight sweetness, like the sap of the flower. What also impressed me was the silage and the lasting power. I get great wifs of this for like 12+ hours straight. So good to wear to get your sweet and fresh fix, outdoor outings, or my favorite, during rainy whether.I also feel like I can wear this year round if I wanted, because of how it just cuts through cold air without being too strong for warm whether. I got the large bottle since its so hard to find for sale in the US.

One of my favourites from 4160 Tuesdays. This is a very unusual scent that has no particular comparator that I can think of. It is very definitely not your typical floral. It is quite heavy - creamy, green and cool. A touch of something cucumbery and a violet leaning iris. There is something of the cut stem green bean scent of a florists shop - an almost suffocating faceful of flowers with no one bloom predominating. It makes me think of the sensation of lying in heavy silk sheets.

As soon as it dries you get all of the flowers lily, rose, neroli, tuberose, even geranium (which I rarely can pick out), hint of lemon and the green of the linden blossom. I suppose the powdery quality many have a hard time with is coming from the iris, but I loathe powder in scents and this doesn’t bother me at all. Overall, a very fresh floral, quite green, with a breeziness but also a sophistication that it can be worn as a serious floral. Terrific. No sweetness, just clean, crystalline, floral. Crisp and brisk yet somehow airy, fresh and free. Perfect for sundresses and slingbacks, jackets and jeans, summer suits, shifts, or cocktails in the garden or anywhere else you find yourself in fairer weather. A great scent but one you’ll need to reapply as it loses the opening explosion of diverse florals within 30 minutes and settles into a pleasant floral with less distinct characters. Dries down to a citrusy grapefruit rind after about 4 hours which could be the fruity quality of the cabreuva.

Just have a tester of this one so not a proper, longer term review. Its quite a peculiar scent, reminded me instantly on opening of an old Estee Lauder summer fragrance, Emerald Dream, which turned screechy on me and I ended up giving my bottle away. There is something interesting about this one, but the irritating facet dominates over the interesting one in my case. Could potentially work well on someone else's skin. Its kind of like one of those novelty refreshing sparkling summer spritzers with cucumber and some peculiar herb in a perfume form, when you are drinking it you can’t quite decide whether you like it or not. Long drydown smooths it down a bit but still not one for me.

This opens with green, almost herbal flowers. Within 5 minutes, it has settled down into a floral powder bomb. By 3 hours, I get old fashioned talcum powder and nothing else. Reading the reviews made me think it'd be totally up my alley but alas, powder overwhelms everything on my skin and it's not for me.

To me this smells like faded chintz wallpaper would smell if it had a scent. It's old fashioned flowers that have sort of dried or faded, yet it lingers beautifully proving that simple florals can be elegant without taking your head off.

A sharp green(Linden blossom, a perfumer insists, but I think it is from Undecavertol) and tangy scent (Lemon blossom) with a powdery scent. I don't want to eat this, haha.
