Fascinating actually. I bought the Edt in a sale and it was weirdly herbal, not the powdery smell I was expecting but I began to enjoy it and ended up purchasing a big bottle of the Edp. So different! Its amazing what different concentrations highlighted and what sank into the background. The Edp was an instant hit as for me, its a quirky niche Chanel No.19. I'm not claiming they smell quite like twins but they have the same cold, bitchy and powdery feel that just makes me see emerald green! Its not as standoffish or as put together, its got more unusual facets but its beautiful. Whilst the Chanel I may wear to a job interview for the polished competent feel, this is my perfect perfume for going out alone when I want to feel classy and unapproachable but in my own style of clothes, no suits. Fairly quite but lasts reasonably well with the main notes being the orris, carrot and linden for me with the feel of a lily. I'd love to see what a parfum version would bring out!

This is definitely my favourite. I love absinthe so not difficult then. Absinthe is immediately evident along with an array of floral notes. This is definitely a 4160 Tuesdays creation with it’s fizzy effect. This is the most fresh smelling of the four. There is some sweetness with herbs (the celery, rose geranium and tea). I get cocoa and cedar as well in the base which are the last notes to fade. Is that an illusion created by the humble carrot? It feels very feminine and perfect to wear with a nice 30s floral dress. Moderate sillage and longevity.

This fragrance sends me a bit confused @ _ @! But in a good way. It is a floral scent, with the strong geranium note, it is relaxing and sunny. Nice drydown! The sillage is strong longevity in the average ... interesting parfum of so many facets! Sillage: 8.5/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Scent: 7.5/10 Overall: 8./10

I have a sample of this only. However when funds allow I may buy a bottle. I received many compliments when I wore it to work on a Summer evening. I wasn't able to smell it myself, however, one lady commented that it smelt like a ' vase of flowers'.

I don't know what it is, because it's not a kind of fragrance I'd normally go for, but I love it. It's a floral, but not a classic floral, it's fresh and it's green but at the same time neither cold nor twee.

I am very fond of linden blossom which is why I was drawn to this one, even if its mitigated a bit by geranium which is a lot sharper, more defined note, and absinthe & tea notes, also more linear, sharper, in character. Nevertheless the combination is a light, airy, brightly, spring summer scent. There is a tiny bit of flatness to this one, it could do with something in the background to give it a bit more punch & staying power. But at the same time there is something very delightful, happy about it. Clinique Happy with a twist. The lovely linden, just add more.

All I get on my skin is soapy rose and I'm very sad. Had high hopes about this one.

Very soft green floral from another time. Powdery green geraniums and grated carrot make this scent interesting and very unique to me. Then a fresh soapy rose appears, and as it develops more of the sweet 4160s DNA emerges. The first time I tested this perfume it became a sexy little boozy rose. I don't know what absinthe smells like, but perhaps that was what I was picking up on. On subsequent wears however the booze has hidden away and I've been left with a simple, pretty clean rosy floral. Maybe that tells me something about my increasing tolerance to alcohol..... Overall an unusual vintagey smelling floral, with very gentle sillage and longevity

In the opening, and throughout it's lifespan, this fragrance (in Eau de Toilette, limited edition, format) presents a very N°19 like accord. Yes, these two scents both contain orris root but there seems to be something much more. Both very green, fairly-to-extremely floral ... very classy. The absinthe is very noticeable, but not as much as linden blossom or, from memory, white flowers. Geranium is noticeable, but not like other geranium scents. Very late 60s to early 70s. Not one one would expect, but also kind of exactly what you need
