This is amazing, the transition from velvety roses on top to a warm musk to a very dark radiant oud at the bottom is something unusual with attars. I wish the dry down lasts longer; I don’t mean it is weak in silage or longevity, but I enjoyed the first 4 hours the most before I came nose blind & I only apply half a swipe on each wrist, imagine how potent it is, I can assume that my 3ml will last for a winter or 2. The only downside to this attar is the price, around $200 for 1ml

For my part ... I own a Tola from Khaltat Al Noukhba. ..ca this an easy mix that makes women crack! !!!!! ... ultra sensual. . Oud Vieillie is very discreet it plays the role of Note of Background with Leather. .. a simple perfume Powerful mystic .. and above all it smells good !!! 1,250 €

.... and if I want Pure Oud .... I wear the Kyara seyoufi 50 Age .. at least it's pure. ..the same price ... but I own 1/4 Tola and that's more than enough.

I just bought a fresh 12ml of the King Abdullah blend from asaq in a beautiful presentation box and bottle. Was not what I was expecting. So just to be sure, 1 month later I bought a 3 ml from another store just to confirm my first impression. ***Let me just begin by saying it has top of the line ingredient(i'm guessing). See below. King Abdullah blend Described scale 1 to 10, 10 being the best. Kalakassi oud: 10 of 10 potent bitter strong. (they made a point) Brunei Oud: 2 of 10 it's in there in the background almost invisible Rose: 1 out of 10 ---Very poor Musk: 1 out of 10 ----very poor Mix: Herbs, flowers, ambar, patchouli: 1 out of 10 ---extremely poor Having said that, unless you live in Saudi, UAE, or any other Arabic country it cannot be worn daily for work, meetings, or leisure activities in the western hemisphere. Forget about wearing this on a date in the west. She will think you were handling livestock or just came out of a jungle chopping barn wood. The first impressions of my surrounding people was it smelled like burnt paint, or like varnish. (this was not what I was expecting when I pay 4,ooo usd for 12ml). The strength and bitterness of the Kalakassi overpowers anything else that might be in there. It's too similar to straight very bitter kalakassi. If you know kalakassi then you'd know its a very strong penetrating oud and difficult to tame and blend properly.. It's probably 100year old or so based on the aroma and some brunei oud in there for sure. King Abdullah blend, it's a too strong kalakassi (un-tamed) based blend, almost too strong for a blend, for me this "King Abdullah belnd" should be re-named to King Badullah Oud, take out dis-information of the word "blend". Don't get me wrong, I like to feel every now and then smell a good kalakassi, but every now and then. Girls however do not share this opinion and do not like it at all when I wear it. DO NOT WEAR THIS WITH WOMEN. **Blend in my opinion consists of Strong Bitter kalakassi 96%oud, Brunei oud 2%, little 1%rose, .05%musk and .05%herbs and other spices. More similar to straight oud kalakassi than a "blend" for sure. The background notes are very difficult to make out in the beginning and end because this Kalakassi is way too difficult to tame. Kalakassi is a very strong odor, overpowers even if you drench yourself in gasoline. I've tried in small doses, on clothing, on skin, even applied large 1ml doses on skin and clothes and get the same results each and every time. I really wanted to make this work, but it is disappointing. Especially when it comes from a maker like asaq. Suggestion for a true ASAQ blend? : 1. Al Sheikh Saleh Al Sheikh Blend, this is what I was expecting King Abdullah to be. Very Elegant well balanced. May not the King, but you get my meaning. 2. Prince Mishaal Ben Abdul Aziz Blend. This is if you're looking for a much more balanced fragrance with plenty of oud, yes pelnty and magic in the background and dries down more majestic (can be worn on a date) this is the one for you.

I wanted to review the most exclusive blend by ASAQ. It's the KING ABDULLAH BLEND or MOLOK ABDULLAH BLEND. There's no mention of this blend on this forum so I am posting my opinion here with a request to the moderators to create a link for the KING ABDULLAH BLEND. I went to the Abdul Samad Al Qureshi's showroom in the " Souk " corner of Dubai Mall two days back. This is a majestic showroom and though other Arabian perfume houses are in the Souk they are all very small. I asked for King Abdullah blend and the ASAQ representative Mr Mostafa Khalifa took out the keys from a drawer and went to the back office and I could see a safe there. He opened the safe and took out a crystal jar with golden attar inside. He swiped it on my shirt and the most gorgeous taifi rose cloud grew all around me. It was stunning. Show stopper.. whatever you call it. This is the most expensive blend by ASAQ and surpasses imho everything else in splendor. It's like Kings blend on steroids. And later it took a rose/oud turn. The best rose/oud attar ever. This has ASAQ's most famous 150 year old Kalakassi oud oil. The price is close to $5000 for 12 grams. I would strongly recommend a visit to ASAQ at Dubai Mall. If you are a fragrance lover it would be sort of fragrant pilgrimage. All the attars and expensive oud oils are kept in 24 c. Gold painted hand made Bohemian crystal jars. After some time the scent turned to a golden aura I am sure so many other ingredients would have gone inside this blend but I couldn't identify anything else. Mr Mostafa and others at ASAQ are the nicest representatives of a perfume company I have seen. After that Mr Mostafa opened the safe and the blend was back to where it belonged- waiting patiently for a Royalty family member. I was sad when the safe's door was closed by Mr Mostafa. What was a routine, normal day in the life of Mr Mostafa was just nothing short of olfactory nirvana for me.

I have this. I consider myself very lucky to own this. I applied a small swipe on my shirt last week. It begins with a superb taifi rose mixed with aged oud and may be little bit of musk. Amber and Patchouli seem to join immediately. This is not Taifcentric like the Kings blend. Taif with amber is what I got. Projection is very loud considering the small single swipe I had. The golden liquid is denser than the dark Kings blend and is very well blended. This slowly turns to amber patchouli scent once the taifi rose burns out. Oud remains a constant companion to amber and Patchouli. With my limited experience I can't understand if it's really Patchouli or not. On fabric this is ever lasting. Even after a week I catch wafts of this oil. This is one of the most expensive blends of ASAQ and deserves an honourable mention on forums where fine fragrances are discussed.

This is addictive. Once you learn to enjoy this, your sense of smell has undergone a transformation. You will have a problem after that: you will not enjoy any other perfume on earth.
