I am revisiting this after many years. This is a very special blend... is what the saleslady said to me when I explained I already had this one. At the time I thought it was just salesperson drivel. But the words stuck with me. This is a very special blend. I do not know what they put in it – or rather how they arrange the notes – because the notes are rather common (rose, jasmine, musk, patchouli, etc.) But this is something else... And I’ve smelled a lot of rose based, feminine perfumes. How can I describe it? Honeyed roses with a deep, spicy base. Soft, warm, sweet, pink, dense, joyeus, sensuous, loving? In fact I went to bed with it last night, and in the morning it was still on my pillow. The concept of LOVE is in this perfume. It is the wide open arms of your lover, your one and only. It is the unconditional love of a mother. It is the naïve love of a child. It is the collective love for one another. Many feminine, rosy fragrances exist... but to my knowledge, none like this.

"Soft, pink, fluffy" meets "sassy, aromatic, herbal." Am I happy? Yes, very! The quintessential romantic perfume with a spicy, fresh edge. Grasse rose is very noticeable, but so is the rich, soothing ylang-ylang. Strong base, mostly of musk and marshmallow, but there's also vanilla, patchouli and sandalwood. In the background are a range of spices that complement, rather than fight. It's not quite "sitting on a park bench in a rose-filled courtyard in Paris." I find it both warmer, and fresher at the same time. It is a bit syrupy, but not in a celebrity-scent way. What a complicated and quality composition! More people should try it. Style: Francis Kurkdjian. EDIT. For me, it was not a quick romance with this fragrance, where you fall in love and soon decide it's not that good... The more you get to know this fragrance, the more you appreciate it. I also think it shows some resemblance to Chergui.

Spicy, arabic rose/patch at the opening, which gets progressively more musky, woody and dense as it dries down. There is enough spice for a guy to wear this, if he’s into rose, IMO. This has a very generous, “heavy” profile. It is not light and inoffensive - it makes a statement. Really rather good. I like it a lot. This house is way overlooked. Their other scent “Black Pepper and Sandalwood” with Luca Maffei on nose duties, is a masterpiece.

A gorgeous scent for the cooler months. A spicy opening that gently fades to reveal a bloom of rose on a woody, spicy pedestal. The vanilla and sandalwood give such a creamy, lightly sweet base. This scent has a nod to vintage perfumery that I love and think works very well in the modern day.

Rose was my 1st perfume note love, but I kind of went off roses for about a year and now I'm back on the rose train. I bought this blind based in positive reviews and great price for the 15ml travel spray ($20!) and comparisons to the d/c Paestum Rose, which I miss and love. Well, it doesn't remind me of Paestum Rose. They have some notes in common but the overall compositions smell very different to me. If I'm going to give a comparison, it would be to Robert Piguet's Calypso. Also, even Yves Rocher Rose Oud (which never smelled oud-y to me). The rose is definitely the center of this perfume. It is soft-ish and jammy/sweet in combination with vanilla, and a touch powdery even. It's neither a very dark rose or a light one, though I'dsay it leans to tbe darker category. I get a bright lift from what smells like geranium. There are some spice notes which become more prominent as it develops, giving it some interest and lift. I mostly smell coriander and pepper giving it an incense-y vibe reminding me of Mon Nom est Rouge by Majda Bekkali. There are some grounding (indistict) woodier notes. And then some airy fluffiness from some musks. It's sweet, romantic, with a bit of mystery. It lacks the bitter edge that I get in Calypso. I think this would work better for me in cooler temps because of the sweetness and powdery haze. Overall, not particularly unique, but lovely, pleasant, and a good price point if you like more bohemian roses.

Well I was on the "Hunt" for Rose perfume again and this was recommended by the lovely SA. Though its not a Rosy Rose.....its a Really beautiful blend, I get lovely wafts of sweet roses, honeyed florals and this gentle woods vetiver, cederwood & clove, its blended seamlessly. It reminds me of Loukhoum in a small way, maybe its the powder...but not so sweet as that, more soft woods and a little incense. Love this beauty very much, i feel its going to be a autumn/winter favourite now, and quite close to being my signature! It's gentle but long lasting, the dry down is quite sweet on me, though my skin does play up sweetness in a perfume. A real hidden beauty this is!

Nice one, very fragrant. This is not a real rose perfume , rather a pink flowers kind of scent. It smells very fresh and peppery in the opening then quickly turn to that pink flowers heart that really reminds of a hidden garden among bushes. It smells very feminine according to cultural western standards. Hard to see this on a man but you never know. It has an interesting aromatic edge and smells not so innocent in the end, maybe due to woods and to ambrette seeds with their musky tones. It's an easy to wear yet not so simple fragrance.
