Tilia Cordata

Growing up in the south of Europe, the linden blossom trees were everywhere during the early summer months and they were projecting their intoxicating scent into the air. This perfume from Acca Kappa reminds me of that scented memory but not 100%! It’s not 1:1 reproduction of that smell in the sense that I remember vividly linden blossoms smells more like a sweet, honeyed floral perfume with a subtle citrusy and green accents. In Tilia Cordata they went more on the citrusy, green aspect than on the honeyed one. I still love this fragrance, it’s gorgeously done, and I am currently really enjoying neroli and petit grain in all possible combinations, but I wish this would be more like my childhood memories, bottled! So, when you first spray it, the opening is very green and slightly sharp, with lots of petit grain/neroli on one side and lemons/bergamot on the other. Fresh, green and really bright! Then, in about half an hour, the scent becomes more floral, yellow and white floral, rich, sweeter, but still a bit soapy soapy, like I remember linden blossoms smelling like from my childhood. As it hits the one hour mark it becomes warmer, more well rounded and smoother, with notes like amber and tonka beans more prominent in the background of the flowers, way more than the green ones. I am so happy to finally own a linden blossom dominant perfume, after trying for the last two years to get my hands on Laboratorio Olfattivo’s Tiglio Mirabilis and being unsuccessful. I still want that one, but this one from Acca Kappa, Tilia Cordata just happened to come unexpectedly into my life during a recent holiday to Sardegna. I am really impressed by how natural and realistic this smells like and I am eyeing a couple more from the brand. When I bought this, I received two more samples of other perfumes from their catalog. For the price, which is on par/cheaper than most designer nowadays, the quality is there! Is this brand not worth the hype because it’s not a new and trendy brand (in other people’s opinion) or how come nobody speaks about Acca Kappa online??

I love this one! It’s a true thilia (linden) and it doesn’t change throughout the day. I’ve been searching for this all winter and wearing it all summer. It reminds me of childhood happy memory when my grandfather placed to dry the linden flowers he collected to make tea afterwords. On my skin everything smells a bit sweet, here I can almost smell a honey note. However after 3 hours I cannot smell it anymore. I guess that this is normal with delicate and fresh fragrances. So, to make it last longer I spray it on my clothes and hair too.

I don't know what linden/lime blossom smells like, but this stuff is goooood!!! It has a realistic *naturally* sweet floral smell (maybe it's the linden blossom?) But what makes this really beautiful is the fresh, moist, green, mossy smell in it that makes me imagine of a gloomy post-rain but cozy, nostalgic sunday afternoon in your or grandmother's garden. Then it dries down smelling like a certain liquid hand soap we had. The interesting mossy green note obviously faded away as soon as it gradually dries down. 9.5/10

Green, floral, and comforting. This fragrance has one of the best linden notes I’ve smelt. It’s lush and dewy—to me, almost humid. For some reason this one always takes me to a park in the heat of summer, flowers in bloom with their scent wafting in the air, and the cool green of the foliage and linden around you. Absolutely perfect for the springs and summers. It can become a bit heavy if sprayed too liberally so start lightly and find your comfort zone with it.

Very much a linden flower bouquet backed up by a green leaf and stem note.very fresh, almost so lite that it takes on a aquatic or rain feel. Base notes are almost noexistemt to me. Linden and jasmine are only floral notes to me, but both take on a green character. I would call this a green botanical / vegatal fregrance not floral. This is very reminisent of a lost chilhood memory. If I did not have that commection I might not like it as much. ⛤⛤⛤⛤
