Odaie - Vintage Potion

Probably the most mass appealing Adi Ale Van, also a monster of a fragrance. One word that would describe this is, "Grotesque." To me on my skin, this is a vanilla, oud, and super dusty fragrance. If I had to rank how the notes smelt, it'd go Old House, Oud, Black Cherry, Rose, Vanilla. The old house note is something of a slightly rotten and super dusty wood. It almost overshadows everything else so much that you can't smell much else. Performance? Top 3 longest lasting I've ever wore. It stayed on for 36 hours, and after 2 showers. The projection? Surprisingly well, its in between moderate and strong for me. I'd give this a 9.5/10 because of how unique, artistic, and powerful it is. This is a work of art.

This fragrance feels like synesthesia to me. When I wear it, I don’t just smell it, I feel space, temperature, and silence. It reminds me of walking into the Baker family’s house in Resident Evil 7. Not the horror part but those quiet, haunting moments where you explore a dim room filled with old wood, forgotten furniture, warm dust, and something left behind. It’s not fear, it’s memory. Odaie opens soft and smoky, slightly sweet, a little resinous and powdery. It smells like an old wooden drawer, like incense that burned out hours ago, or a velvet curtain hanging still in heavy air. I was listening to the Save Room theme when I first tried it. It made sense that music is minimal, safe, and strange at the same time. The perfume has the same effect. It calms me, but makes me feel like something happened here before. It’s not a loud scent. It doesn’t ask for attention. But if someone leans in close enough, they’ll feel something. Maybe they won’t know what. Maybe they’ll just remember you. For me, Odaie doesn’t smell like a place I’ve been It smells like a moment I’ve imagined too vividly.

It kinda like an abandoned rotten house, with the notes of wood and flowers, it is good for what it is but definitely not something most people will enjoy and not appropriate to wear to something like the office or out in general, I would say it it something to keep at home if you like it. I would recommend getting a sample before buying a bottle. It smells like what I imagine the houses in Resident Evil Village smell like.

This is probably the strongest I've tried till this day. You definitely get the old house feel, it give it like a dusty element to it. The combo of the rose, cherry, oud, and vanilla was just so beautiful, and I was enjoying but then something change randomly. The old house note took over entirely and was literally all I smelt, I damn near almost vomited from it. Had to scrub it off after the old house note took over. And to make it worse, this stuff is a MONSTROUS, I was literally smelling it in my room almost a week after I sprayed it on myself. My girlfriend came over and smelt it in the air, and said it smelt like bell peppers, and now I can't get the smell of that out of my head. I also had to throw out the sample bottle because it was just taking over the smell of my other samples. I would probably get this if the old house note was turnt down a bit, but it is approachable.

Off the opening reminds me of the smell of jalapeno cheddar cheetos. Not a fan at all.
