Portamarina

I love Agatho, and I love this frag. Portamarina is ambiguous overall. Is it fruity? Is it aromatic? Is it citrusy? Is it masculine? Is it feminine? Is for a specific season? One thing is for sure— it is just as Agatho describes it: “We transport you to a serene morning in the Vesuvian city: here, the Mediterranean aromas of citrus fruits and aromatic herbs, enriched by the wild scent of dew-kissed apples, blend with the talcum-like fragrance of the frescoed walls.” Great for all situations, for any time/season, and works for anyone. It is long lasting, strong, and very approachable.

Portamarina is a very fruit dominant fragrance, with a subtle marine accord. It is very similar in style to Loumari's Porthole. I get more types of fruit than just the listed fruit notes of apple, orange and bergamot. Portamarina smells like a basket containing a variety of fresh fruits. It is like a less loud, toned down Porthole or Louis Vuitton' Symphony. I like it, I don't love it. It is borderline juvenile sweet, yet it smells fairly luxurious and expensive. The fruit accord is realistic and pleasant. It is not synthetic or cloying whatsoever. The marine/sea/salty/aquatic accord is mild, and not fishy or off-putting at all. So if you are looking for a strong fruit fragrance with just a touch of the ocean air, this is certainly a nice option. I still prefer both Symphony and Porthole, but Portamarina is good. 7.75/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.1
