Bidun Esam

To my nose this is a beautiful, sweet, light, flirty fragrance but with a hint of substance from the musk and oud (as it is a middle eastern fragrance after all). But it’s only a hint. It actually really reminds me of Gucci’s Envy Me, which is now discontinued. It was my signature scent when I was in high school, so trust me when I say they are similar. Envy Me was a sweet white floral heavy, and this one has hints of that. It’s more animalic than Envy Me though, because of the oud I imagine. The florals and the fruity sweetness really come through for the first few minutes, and then it begins to dry into the woody base. very feminine and performs very well. I would pair it with something very dry and Woody to bring down the sweetness, or something caramel-y if you want to go all out. Not a masterpiece but definitely an asset in any collection IMO.

I got this today and I'm not sure about it. I have a feeling I'm going to have to let it develop for a while to let the notes come through. Will check back in later with an update. 11/24/25- round two. Rich, lovely rose / oud scent. Very strong, lasts forever.

*Re-written* to account for an evolution in experience over months of regular wearing/ testing. Note that this review is based on experiences in warmer temperatures (20C-34C). If you were to call this fragrance a 'rose/aoud' combo, you would not be telling the full story. The perfume opens with a potent blast of a cold rose note and pungent cambodian aoud, so give it at least 30 seconds before you stick your nose to your wrist. As the alcohol evaporates and the oil begins to dry on skin, my nose begins to detect white flowery notes like jasmine (on clothing these flowers is more easily experienced). The aoud note softens drastically and takes on a mild incense vibe as it marries beautifully with rose and saffron notes. If saffron does not work well with your skin chemistry, you are guaranteed to find this beautiful marriage of notes offensive. In a way, all the notes develop around the rose note in the opening and towards the first half of the mid. Now, the mid... on clothing, the mid is dominated by roses, white flowers, and aoud... this doesn't change much in the dry down which is musk-rose-white flowers and a bare hint of cambodian aoud. On skin, this is a different kettle of fish. The saffron note turns medicinal, the white flowers all but disappear, the aoud begins to take on an animalic expression and the rose note is no longer at the heart of the matter. The dry down is dominated by animalic aoud, heady musk and hints of rose. Whilst the silage and projection are mild-moderate, this fragrance proves itself to be long lasting and stays on clothing for days. The wonderful thing about curating a relatively small fragrance collection is that I become intimately acquainted with my perfumes and my views mature as my experience of the fragrance increases. I went from a straight love to wondering if my thoughts on the animalic aoud will change in time for it to survive a declutter by the end of the year. I've certainly never smelt any rose-aoud quite like this.

First Impressions: (Discovery set) Note: I was smelling a lot of perfumes at once. Sorry couldn’t help myself lol. Listen I’m a rose hater but this one is good for a rose hater. If your like cold florals like I do. If you like things like oud satin mood by MFK, or like Dior pure poison. You will definitely like this one. I’m suprised to like this one. Altho I’ll let ya peeps know how I feel about this one on skin. Edit 1: I’ve kept trying this one, and I think I finished the sample without feeling the need to buy it. So, for me it wasn’t an absolute love. For someone else you may want to sample this one.

Great stuff. Kind of reminds me of Xerjoff Alexandria III, but fresher and with lighter oud. Longevity is above average put projection is below average as of now. Hopefully maceration will make it stronger, but I'm really liking the scent profile already. Update: It did get stronger. Very happy with this, especially for the price I got it.

As usual, Ahmed Al Maghribi perfumes never disappoint when it comes to performance considering the cheap price. This incredible sweet juice lasts all day long and it projects very well in nice cool weather. I've had it couple of times long time ago and it is definitely a compliment magnet.

Really strong thing. I use it with other perfumes to add a rosy depth. It can be used on its own but I find it to being too simple and linear to just use it on its own.

In the bottle this smells beautiful ! A lot of musk and oud, with a well-done rose (not much of a rose fan normally, but I love it in this). However, on skin and clothes it quickly turns into a urea/sweat smell that is extremely noticeable because it performs so well

This has the exact same annoying note that Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst has, I guess they use the same chemical compound in both, I decluttered mine immediately, can't digest that weird note, I'm not sure how to describe it, if you know you know. For the record, I love Atomic Rose and Infini Rose, just something in Amethyst annoys me and it's here too.

Got this on recommendation from a youtuber. Nauseating alcohol blast couldn't smell anything. After 2 hrs I started to scent it with some saffron and rose along with woody oudy notes, very synthetic. Total disappointment. Scent 3/10 Value 0

I’m just so in love with this. Credit to YouTuber A Fragrant Glance for this beauty. This brand was not within my radar until she talked about it. It’s beautiful. Tons of musk, taif rose and maybe Bulgarian roses, a perfect amount of saffron and then at the base, a touch of Cambodian oud and amber. I get some similarities to Guerlain Musc Noble, which I have but this one the Rose is higher pitched and shines more. It doesn’t smell like a typical rose oud combo. I find it unique. Not a safe blind buy. I have both the oil and 50ml spray. The edp spray is one of the strongest scents in my wardrobe and I have some pretty heavy ones. An underrated gem for sure.

I watched many reviews about this perfume and decided to give it a try, today i buy it after testing in shop, first impression was absolutely ok with the notes described by reviewers so purchased it. I am not an expert to hunt the notes deeply, but for me this is rose (2/3types of roses) dominant perfume with good hints of saffron & amber. I don't feel oud much but may be i am wrong here. Over all i can say Bidun Esam is a good perfume can give a blind buy for testing if anyone want to. I was sprayed only 1 spray at shop for testing and i got a lasting of almost 3 hours in high temperature and humidity of Makkah (Mecca) during the working hours.

Out of all the many trending rose/oud combos out there. This stands out from the rest of them due to the fact that there's a strong unlisted grenadine syrup note. So it makes it much sweeter, fun and playful. Silage and projection are moderate but longevity is eternal with this one, Over 48 hours on skin and a week on clothes. It would make a great casual signature spring time fragrance. I'm glad to have this but I find myself only reaching for it once in a while as it's so linear and long lasting that I get bored with it.

I am glad I am not the only one who thinks there is unlisted leather note in this one :) This is why it slightly reminds me of Guerlain Musc Noble. Rose, leather, musk. I believe there is unlisted oud in Guerlain Musc Noble, and in here I believe there is unlisted leather. Actually, maybe this is why we have got some red leather on the cap? Is this a hint? Beast performance.

I am not enjoying this at all and unless it improves in a month or so, I will be getting rid of this. Please maceration, do your thing!!! Right now this is a leathery, petrol like abomination.

This screams chic to me whenever I wear it. Super rich floral notes with a little musk. Would recommend this. This is nostalgia in a bottle. Longevity is eternal.
