Laathani

This one’s a certified banger. I went home with a sample from my local fragrance shop, and before it had even dried down, I was already back at the counter. Turns out I wasn’t the only one. Sold out. Had to order it online. Let’s get this out of the way: Fragrantica’s note breakdown is incomplete. The actual note pyramid is: Top: Fresh Notes, Candied Fruit Heart: Oud Accord, Rosemary Base: Leather, Bakhoor Accords Laathani is niche-level quality with serious craftsmanship. It’s more expensive than your average arab fragrance ($140 AUD), but you smell the difference instantly. Super high oil content. Rich, thick, luxurious. Performance? Beast mode. Sillage? Beast mode. Longevity? Beast mode. You get the idea. Two sprays max. Room-filling. Lingers for hours, maybe days. The opening hits you with a mix of bright freshness and juicy candied fruit with a little citrusy spark, but never juvenile. Then the heart brings in this elegant oud and I usually hate oud, but here it just works. It doesn’t dominate. It adds depth and mystery without shouting. Rosemary and herbaceous notes weave through a smoky, incensey trail of bakhoor. I didn’t even know what bakhoor was, but apparently it's used in ceremonies, meditation and rituals. It is believed to attract angels in some cultures. Well, my wife cuddled up real close after I wore this, so there might be something to that. It smells masculine, fresh, and confident. Feels like it’s made for a grown man who knows who he is. Completely versatile. Date night, office, special events. It just fits. And while part of me wanted to gatekeep this hidden gem, I couldn’t help but share it.

Beautiful scent, quite unique to me, but "casual"smell in some cultures. At first I thought I was going nose blind, but then I sprayed it on my son. Laathami on one hand and on the other Kaaf. After hour maybe, laathani is almost completely gone. Must put nose on skin. On the other hand, Kaaf was projecting and his room was nicely smelling. So maybe it will change, but I don't believe it, so Laathani for me is not a keeper. Maybe I've got bad batch, don't know....scent I like a lot, anything else is big disappointment. Update: it became stronger and beast mode fragrance. So glad I didn't sold it. Luxurious fragrance, with great projection and longevity. I sold armpits smelling Kaff instead ;)

I got this recently and I own a few other AAM frags. Right off the bat a few points: very high quality long lasting and good projection nothing cheap about it great packaging and atomiser seems more pricy than it already is oud is sweet and subtle but has that middle eastern touch but not overbearing its got noticeable leather, oud and sweetness which work well together One point to note is if you already own Blue Oud by AAM, then you will find many similarities with it. At least for me it seemed that way. Maybe it will change character over time but Im really happy with this purchase. Worth a buy if you have nothing like it. If you have Blue oud....maybe try before you buy. I love me both.

Many people say that Laathani is a dupe for Imperial Valley, but after smelling them side by side, I would say Laathani stands on its own. It is smooth, well blended, lightly sweet, and subtly fresh. Compared to Imperial Valley, it is smoother and more mass appealing while still maintaining excellent longevity and projection. Laathani is not as fruity as some reviewers describe. Parfumo lists candied fruits as a top note, which may explain the initial touch of sweetness. Overall, it comes across as aromatic, dark, and fresh. If you enjoy Imperial Valley, think of Laathani as its smoother, more refined fraternal twin.

This one honestly feels like a better, higher-quality version of Imperial Valley. The brand doesn’t get nearly enough recognition, just like its older brother Ignite Oud. You’re basically getting niche-quality juice for pennies, and it lasts forever — even before maceration! Compared to Ignite Oud, I find this one way more wearable for everyday situations, while Ignite feels more like a “special occasion” scent. Nothing here is too loud or over the top — just a really well-balanced mix of quality oud, leather, and fruit that smells way more expensive than it is.
