Royal Wood

Edit: I recently reacquainted myself with TF Oud Wood and I was actually surprised at how practically identical Royal Wood is to the OG. I've had this for many months now but unfortunately I bought it just as winter was starting to end last year, so I haven't worn it a whole lot. That being said, the few occasions I have worn it I got compliments every time, so if that's something you care about certainly keep that in mind. As for how I feel about it ? I love it. The juice is ridiculously high quality, it smells exactly on par with TF Oud Wood in terms of quality though I can't speak to how accurate it is as i've only smelt the original in department stores and at the airport so i'm no expert, but from what I remember it hits the spot perfectly. The bottle itself, in typical AAM fashion is very well made. Great atomiser, beautiful black marble aesthetic, very solid, simple design. Love it. It's a very clean, sexy and elegant oud fragrance. Most likely you are quite familiar with the DNA so you know what you're in for. However, I seem to go very nose blind to this fragrance, which sucks, and I originally thought it had bad performance until someone complimented me a couple of hours after I sprayed, and they had smelt me from across the room. To add to this, I managed to get a bottle for absolutely dirt cheap. The catch however with this frag is that it is quite possibly the *hardest* to find out of the entire Ahmed Al Maghribi catalogue which really sucks. Of course this means that the few places you can find it on the internet they are selling it for pretty steep prices. That being said a bottle of Royal Wood, no matter where you find it, will still be significantly cheaper than the OG. If you can find it, this is absolutely worth a buy.

Ladies and gentlemen, I was on a hunt for a perfume with the note of Rosewood, I love Frankinsence, Indian Sandalwood, black pepper, oud....Cathedral , mysterious, dark vibes. (I adore also Rose, tuberose, jasmine and more) Any ways. I looked up here in the search engine, for what I already have on my shelves and saw this! When I first got it about a month ago, my heart sank...I adore Ahmed Al Maghribi, look in my Perfumerei...but it didn't smell that great at first. But the miracle happened and voila! I do not know what Tom Ford's Oud Wood smells like, life goes on... This one smells amazing ✨✨✨ The Rosewood is Devine in this, so I am quite happy. This is very different for an Ahmed Al Maghribi if you know this house. The bottle is very elegant and the price was under 20€... If you are here looking, just get it...you will love it! No nasty aromatics, old school man vibes in this, ladies.... I'm talking to you. This is for the dark girlies that can do men's fragrances. 🖤

This is just WOW for the price. It also last longer! More sillage too! A lot better than other dupes like mason alhambra's. Not as smooth as the OG though. What more could you ask? But it's kinda hard to find at the place I live sadly.

At first i didn’t like it alot, let it sit and mature for few months and now i cant stop sniffing the bottle cap, got compliments wearing, beautiful masculine oud scent, long lasting.

Very similar to Tom Ford Oud Wood, which I have and love. But, longevity is lacking. Ahmed usually dont miss when it comes to longevity. Dont know what went wrong here.

I really love Tom Ford Oud Wood, so I’ve been on a hunt to find a great alternative. I bought this Royal Wood for $17.70 on discount, and here is my impression. First, the quality of this fragrance is really good, and the longevity is far better than the original Tom Ford Oud Wood. I got so many compliments from women — they said I smell really clean. This is what I think about this fragrance: it’s a clean, Laundry and slightly sweet version of Tom Ford Oud Wood, whereas the original is a bit deeper, darker, and more intense compared to Royal Wood. I would say it’s about 80% close to Tom Ford Oud Wood, in my opinion. The best Tom Ford Oud Wood alternative for me is "Woody Oud by Craftier," which is so good — I got crazy compliments from both men and women. However, its longevity is similar to Tom Ford Oud Wood. Royal Wood is also really good, especially for its longevity. Overall, 7/10 for me.

If you like TF Oud Wood and you're looking for the same DNA on a budget, then this is the one you should try. Very identical, or should I say Xerox. Almost the same notes and easy to wear. I put my bottle away in the dark after 10-15 sprays until the end of summer for this to become more mature and strong. A budget-friendly option from Ahmed Al Maghribi which can easily beat TF Oud Wood.

Picked this up yesterday for $27. Lovely woody spicyness off the top. Let's hope I made the right choice.

Comprato, spruzzato e regalato. Premesso che possiedo soprattutto profumi arabi low cost e qualche altro profumo più costoso. Questa casa araba, ma anche come Montale in particolare e tanti altri profumi di design famosi o economici, usa una molecola (ambroxan o robe simili) che rende il profumo pesante, longevo e con un grande sillage. Ma a parte l'inizio in cui si percepiscono le note elencate (diciamo così in modo molto approssimativo) non resta altro che la molecola in questione. Spero che vi rendiate conto che da lontano le altre persone sentono quasi o solo quella. Da Sauvage elixir fino a quelli economici che usano gli adolescenti, si sente troppo spesso questa schifezza. Come la barrique per i vini, che diventano tutti uguali con un sapore legnoso che copre le differenze degli uvaggi ma che tanto piace alla massa! Quindi consiglio a tutti di fare lavaggi nasali accurati prima di capire cosa state annusando e cosa vi state spruzzando addosso.

Ma purtroppo o per fortuna ci sono alcuni nasi, come il mio, in grado di riconoscere molecole che altri non sentono (molecule 01 è un esempio emblematico, nonostante iso super sia già più piacevole perché più leggera di un ambroxan o derivati). La molecola di cui parlo, e approfondirò di cosa si tratta, la sento in giro ovunque. Un mio ex vicino di casa. Purtroppo, non ho avuto il tempo di chiedergli cosa usasse., usava un profumo con la stessa molecola che si sentiva dalla finestra dalla porta e dalle scale. È sfortunato chi non la sente, perché non capisce costa sta indossando, pensando di fare anche il figo, mentre si tratta solo di una roba mediocre.

10/10 scent profile, 1/10 longevity and projection. Extremely likable timber profile rendered pointless by its performance. Skin scent half hour after application - unusual for AaM and a 40% concentration. Four months on the shelf so far, will check again at 6 but even if she comes good that's getting into some ridiculous timeframes for a frag to get wearable.

This needs weeks and months of maturation. Basically no scent / very alcoholic smell upon opening when I received it. It starts to smell stronger week by week. Very pleasant and mysterious. It has a leathery / oudy freshness which the TF Oud Wood does not have. Addictive. Very elegant. Clean. This what makes Royal Wood wearable during summer.

Consiglio a Bulga Rally di andare da un otorinolaringoiatra, o di valutare se abbia una estrema sensibilità a certe molecole. Io personalmente non posso assolutamente sentire anice o note di anice in profumi o qualsivoglia cosa, perché tendono a sopraffare il mio olfatto, da sempre, facendomi sentire SOLO quella nota in un profumo.
