Eau d'Oud

Okay time for an updated review. 6 weeks since I got this fragrance the scent has changed quite a bit. The main difference is that the pungent barnyardy oud is almost non existent now, and I cant believe I'm saying this but I really miss it, since for some reason it was kind of addictive lol. The fragrance now has a very sharp citrus opening which is very smooth and as it begins to dry down it takes on a more soapy and clean laundry kind of scent while still retaining the citruses. The oud is still remains present but its very faint. I think is unfortunate because the oud smelled really high quality when I got this fragrance so its sad that its almost non existent now. Overall what this ultimately is now is a smooth, high quality, clean scent that I find to be very likeable. Performance wise I get a full day on skin with moderate projection. Solid 8/10

Great freshie with a twist. It almost reminded me of Casamoratti Mefisto, but it's even more masculine. This authentic Cambodian oud truly makes a difference, adding an edge that distinguishes it from designer fragrances. It also makes it more versatile - now you can easily wear it in late autumn and not-so-cold winters. Strikes with a zesty citrus and mint. Later, a great flower bouquet is added with petigrain and ginger adding almost a tea-like smell. And of course, the almighty oud - it's funky, sweet, woody, tar-like here, all the facets of it one can imagine. The base of a strong musk plus tonka softens it very well. Overall scent is surprisingly wearable, smooth and fresh depending on the amount of the real oud added. And now it's one of my top contenders for a zingy, invigorating scent whenever I feel a need for it.

Firstly a side note about the amazing presentation. The photos don't do it justice. It's really beautiful with the different blue hues and feels weighty and high quality. The scent is exactly what I wanted it to be. It reminds me more of Guerlain's L'Homme Eau Boisée than Imagination, but I can see why people think of that one. That said, this has a distinct edge and complexity which puts it way ahead for me. There's a tea-like quality, but also a bit of oud skank, just a little, which makes it more interesting. The nutmeg reminds me of the way Frédéric Malle perfumes do this note. This is a great perfume and if you can get it for under 100 euros like I did, don't hesitate if you like this profile.

I also get the tea like quality like the guy bellow. It actually reminds me of lattafa dynasty a bit. The oud is not in your frace, it separates it from other generic designer summer fragrances. It smells professional, serious and reserved.. High quality, great packaging as well. Some retailers charge too much for it. Not for beginners though.

I got this a week ago. It's busy maturing, so will write a full review in about a month from now. At first sniff this is really smooth and high quality. There is a lot more oud than I thought there would be and it's quite barnyardy however in the air this smells really good.

many experiments has been made to make a fresh summer based light oud fragrance like mancera aoud lemon mint, but non has reached to this level of smoothness and quality, I am just loving it, specially the oud smell in the background in high heat, 11/10

I wore this now several times but I cannot feel any citruses, it is just musky, watery oud all the way, very middle-eastern. It can be worn as a base in the summer maybe 1 spray since the musk is very potent, but I believe it shines the most in the colder months. I would've liked this way more if it started with fresh citruses and then transitioned into the musky-oud base, but for me it goes straight to the base so it is a bit meh Update: I keep retesting this every now and then and have realized that this definitely has real (barnyard!) Oud. Today I got a comment that it smells like sewage water so I really recommend to test this one before buying lol. For some reason I keep coming back to it and may consider buying a full bottle bcs there is something addicting in there. This is in no way, shape or form an alternative to LV Imagination! If you are looking for a basic fresh citrus for the summer I highly doubt that you are looking for a stinky, watery Oud scent that I described here. Performance and projection are amazing though.

i've tested this frangrance at the airport's duty free shop and i liked it a lot but the price was 220EUR. when i came home i checked on the web and i found it for 95EUR on Romanian website (vivantis) and because i made purchase over 100EUR in total i got 25% discount which made the final price around 75EUR. to me the smell is very interesting because there is an opening scent that reminds me of kindergarten somehow and i really don't know what it is because it is not pleasant but also not repellent :)) the longevity is ok but projection i don't find that strong and maybe it's better that way because it could easily be overwhelming for others

This is a pleasant refreshing summer time fragrances. I mainly get a prominent green tea smelling accord mixed in with some citrusy freshness, all very well and smoothly blended. I unfortunately don't get much of an oud accord, maybe if I really bring my nose to where i sprayed it on skin I can get a faint oudy smell, but on clothes I can't detect the presence of oud. Performance is really good for such a refreshing fragrance. I'm not the biggest on green or fresh fragrances but I still like this and I imagine those who are into green freshies would love this. The fragrance is unisex but leaning slightly masculine imo because of the greeness

This has not been a pleasant experience; however, I'm no expert in fragrance. When I purchased this item, I was expecting some similarity to LV Imagination. What I got was the smell of a damp chicken coop. I would not wear this around people I liked. Very faint opening of citrus, quickly replaced by damp faecal scent that lingers. Horrendous! Oddly, the fragrance changes to leathery mossy notes. I'm finding this revolting and the worst purchase I have ever made by far. Happy to be schooled on this item as I'm a newbie - especially oud. Does this need to mature/macerate for some time? Could this item be spoiled or a dud? Very very disappointed as it wasn't cheap and purchased from a reputable website. I was told that this item was not a safe blind buy so I only have myself to blame. After 1 hour on skin, its scent resembles an old leather jacket at the bottom of a damp chicken coop. Please tell me this will mature into something I can wear? I don't even want to sell this to anyone in its current state. Sorry this is negative but I genuinely had high hopes for this item. Update: I will leave this for 6 weeks like Riaz117 and report back with, hopefully, a more positive review.

I respect Abdulla Ajmal’s vision, and I think he executed it exactly as intended: an oud-inspired cologne rather than a barnyardy oud bomb. although its made cologne style, i heard it has 22% oil concentration... Coming to the review After maturation/oxidation, the oud is very faint. In fact, most people won’t be able to clearly pick it out as “oud.” What you get instead is a soft, bright/fresh citrus opening that gradually shifts into a neroli/petitgrain heart, with musk in abundance, all resting on a light oud bed. It also reminds me a bit of Hatkora Wood in structure and overall vibe. Both share that lemony start (though Eau d’Oud leans more minty fresh -Hatkora has that hatkora lemon), then move into a floral/spicy mid, and finally settles into a base built around oud, amber, and musk.. Overall, as an easygoing oud-cologne for warm weather, it’s pleasant and refreshing, i guess solid for summertime. That said, it doesn’t feel especially distinctive in a market full of similar fresh musky citrus scents, and for me it doesn’t justify the price...should be max 75 USD.. Ps. I can see why people think of imagination, but lets be honest if everything with lemon, ginger, neroli is gonna be tagged as imagination then there will be 100's of imaginations!. This is 100% not imagination and not just because of the tea/oud substitution, the general vibe is also not the same, the creaminess is also lacking.

Please pay attention First Review: This fragrance presents a unique blend of scents that rarely come together, and are almost contradictory. From the very first whiff, you’re greeted by a delightful fusion of 1. Fresh Citrus and 2. Animalic Oud. This interesting contrast is the character of the perfume. If you can love this strange persona, I am you may find yourself enchanted by its charm. However, if you struggle to appreciate this combination, the scent can come across as a complex interplay of opposing notes.

This is a highly quality fresh and citrusy dominant scent which projects approximately 6 hours with strong silage. It is worth mentioning that differs from the ordinary citrus scents which is highly likeable, however you need to reconsider the price point cause it is unacceptable this particular brand to offers more than 200 euros fragrances, at least 100 euros would be much more reasonable across the Arabic scents.

I’m so glad nobody knows about this.. let’s keep it that way people. Beautiful absolutely beautiful. Even better than imagination with the real oud floating around. 10-12hours medium to strong projection. Clean citrus minty soapeyness with added oud. Gatekeep this.
