Qafiya Sport

I’m pretty sure my samples of Qafiya 04 and Qafiya Sport are wrongly labelled (mixed up). Judging by the male smokiness (this is the only non-unisex, male only, in the Qafiya range) this has to be the real Sport. It’s a joke that the sport edition is the one that’s most reminiscent of cigarette ash, thanks to the birch tar. They’ve thrown-in a load of other “masculine” things like leather and coffee and it’s a super incensy, ashy smoky and I don’t like it. It’s no where near as good as 01, 02 or Year of Zayed special edition. 03 is still an unsniffed mystery to me. 04 comes in at 4th best and this smoky Sport edition is my least favourite.

Smells like a car freshener that smells like leather. Very synthetic. I think I can also smell cinnamon and some vanilla. Not a well-blended scent in my opinion and I wouldn't recommend blind buying.

Ok now I am confused if Emma switched back the label or not! LOL. Quafiya 4 was ashy as hell but also fruity musky rubbery leathery. This one (or the one labelled as Quafiya Sport) is a mild, bergamotish, ambery, mildly spicy fairly common male lockerroom cologne smell. Maybe the sample labels were switched, but this is much more likely to be labelled as "sport" based on the scent profile. Nothing sporty about a mouthfull of birch tar. Something called sport is also more likely to sell in the more mainstream market, but it is puzzling that this claims to have a tar note - one which is defo present in Quafiya 4.
