Emerald Street

I'm gonna go in a slightly different direction on this one. For me, Emerald Street features a nicely restrained combination of violet leaf and blueberry that comes across as a more literal "clean" accord than of either of its component parts. Not too sweet, not too green, but offering a very transparent and natural presentation of both feature notes. I also pick up an almost peppery suede note, which I have to admit I've really come to like. It imparts a very gentle sense of wood smoke that hovers and lingers around the prominent notes, bringing to mind a sort of berry-tinged Penhaligon's Opus to my nose. Overall, I don't find this to be especially sweet, loud or reeking of blueberries. It's actually nicely composed in a way that is clean, versatile and "gentlemanly," at least on my skin. I'll call this a strong like, maybe more as my bottle matures. Alexandria Fragrances are notorious for delivering bottles so fresh they need a good month or two of oxidation in order to reach their full potential. For this reason, I think it's too early to speak of longevity -- but in terms of projection, it does seem to reach out at least at arm's length.

Emerald Street...woah. You hear "such-n-such season in a bottle" all the time in the fragcom. But Emerald Street IS "Spring In A Bottle". Lush violet mixed with blueberry on top is so fresh and clean. It's like laying down in a freshly cut lawn at a golf course. It's a lush, refreshing smell. Like a car freshener for people. And that lushness stays through the life of the fragrance. I just wore it 9+ hours and it's still that beautiful, invigorating "green" smell. Yes, the longevity is on beast mode. I never smelled Bond No. 9 Bleecker St. but if that is anything close to Emerald Street, I can see why it's so admired. Another magical scent from Alexandria Fragrances and a must have for this spring/summer. 9.5 out of 10

This is very close to the original, I'd say close to that 90% mark. There are some differences, the opening is slightly different and I think I prefer this clone to the original. The mid is won by the original and the dry down I actually prefer AF version. Now the differences aren't huge, as I sprayed them side by side on different arms and was comparing. Overall I see no point in buying the original when you have a quality clone that basically matches it. Is it 1 to 1, no but damn near close.

I haven't smelled Bleecker street, but after having sat on this one for two months, oh my goodness, has it developed! It's fresh, it's green, it's like a wonderful meadow and clean green with flowers. I love green scents, and this fits a great niche that GIT, Green Valley, Geenley and Polo don't fill.

This is a complete copy of it's inspiration. So far I feel this has much more projection and sillage than Bleecker Street. I find Hany's work to be top notch and really find this house to be amazing.

Caution ! If I would have went by first impression this would be a completely different review. So what I’m saying is that YES it is true what others say that once you spray this it’s best to shake the bottle and then let this sit for 3-4 weeks as what you get from the first time you spray this is a completely different smell than what you get after the scent settles. (The first time I sprayed this it smelled like old paint,BO with a hint of Bleeker Street.lol) However, once this settles it still opens a tad bit harsh with that paint like smell but it quickly subsided and isn’t as noticeable and what your left with after it dries down is a beautiful,fresh,fruity scent that’s also green and aromatic with a very nice touch of suede and vanilla in the background ! This stays pretty linear but in the drydown you do get more vanilla which I love ! Idk why but this scent reminds me of being around a real Christmas tree while someone is baking sugar cookies.lol. Sounds weird but I mean that in a very appealing way ! So this is supposed to smell like Bleeker Street but it more so resembles the older batches of Purple Label as the blackberry note really popped and was very rich and smooth in the drydown just like Emerald Street. Which is great because I currently own a newer batch of Purple Label and unfortunately it’s been watered down and is more musky than smooth these days. Out of Bleeker Street,Purple Label and Emerald Street I honestly prefer Emerald Street but if you would go by the older formulation of Purple Label I’d easily pick Purple Label . Performance—this lasted me 5-7 hours but only had average projection. With this type of scent I’d want it more for going out to dinner,holiday parties and things like that so for the occasions I’d wear it the performance is perfect. Overall rating —8 out of 10 ! Amazing scent and the vanilla in the drydown is my favorite part. However this doesn’t get a perfect score as I have to let this drydown for 30-45 minutes before I feel 100% comfortable going out and also because you have to let the bottle settle before you get that Bleeker Street vibe.

Emerald Street is my 4th up and coming Alexandria Fragrance! For starters, I have never smelt the original Bond No 9 Bleeker Street. Most reviews I have read describe this as spring in a bottle. For me, the interesting aspect is the use of blueberry and caramel. I do like my gourmands, but I am glad this is not the case. I like subtle sweetness which I expect to get from this clone. The blueberry note was the first thing that caught my eye. I have never smelt nor owned a blueberry fragrance. Initial impression of the notes, made me think of Creed's Green Irish Tweed due to the violet leaf, but I'm glad it doesn't have similarities otherwise I wouldn't own this. I'm rambling for the excitement that I can't wait to smell this! Spring is right around the corner, and I think I picked the perfect opportunity to try this one out. When I receive my bottle I will update this review! EDIT: So, I have Emerald Street in my possession! This one, is interesting! Initial opening I get a slight blueberry note, but I mainly get violet leaf with this, and it throws me off a tad because I know that there is something I've smelt that is also violet leaf dominant... Creed's Green Irish Tweed! Not exact, but a similar vibe. This one will need a few more wearings as opposed to one single spray, but I like it. A very clean fragrance and without smelling Bond's take, I'd say this one is a a winner. It is quite beastly. Longevity is very good and silage is a lot better than I expected. I'm hoping to get some caramel in this one, as that is what partially drew me into this scent.

Here is a first impression. For the record, I've never smelled Bleecker Street, so I can't make a comparison on that. The opening is sharp and piercing. I wouldn't call it sweet, but it is a very bright and not as fruity as I would have expected from the purported blueberry note. The middle is quite green. Almost like fresh ivy cuttings. You can start to feel the Amber/Vanilla combo emerge, though it is definitely taking a back seat for the first 30 minutes or so. The dry down is my favorite as all of the edges smooth over very nicely to a kind of radiant vanilla/amber combination. It's somewhat similar to Vanilla Ambrette by Thymes, but without the boozy note. It's very clean but not soapy. I find it very comforting and uplifting. I am very curious how this will change with the weather and as the bottle stabilizes a bit more after shipping. There's a lot of promise with this one, but the opening is awkward enough that I probably wouldn't put it on just before heading out the door. Give it a little time, however, and it seems like it will have people wondering where is that delicious smell coming from. Edit after 1 week: The opening has sweetened significantly after sitting a few days. Very beautiful!

If Green Irish Tweed & Bleeker Street had a baby that used Irish Spring soap. And I mean all this....in a GOOD WAY! I spritzed this on 4 hours ago and it's still smelling strong ! If you are reading these reviews in order to do a blind buy AND DON'T ALREADY OWN A "GREEN FRESHIE" (I didn't) ..you will be happy to own this (I'm so not a "green freshie" type guy and I am loving this!) . Good deal after a few Alexandria fails this past year. EDIT: OK, sitting here with a few more sprays ... do I smell blueberry pancakes ? ! Strangely impressed. AS ALWAYS : Alexandrias need time to "sit and blossom". When I had first got this : I was all "Where's the Beast?" and the scent felt faint. Now that I let this sit for 2 months -- it got more bombastic !

Emerald Street vs. Bleecker Street. These two are 100% in their openings with the Emerald Street having better projection. In the drydown they move away from each other slightly, I'd say about 98% in the drydown. The Emerald Street is definitely stronger, darker, and I feel a more masculine fragrance. The Bleecker Street is a tad sweeter and sits closer to the skin. As far as longevity, Emerald Street was a clear winner. On the skin I got an easy 6-8 hours. On the tester strip 3 days later it is still very noticeable... the Bleecker Street is completely gone. Lastly, my female co-workers chose Emerald Street 18 out of 20 times. Overall, the clear WINNER imo is Emerald Street. Definitely bottle worthy.

I haven’t smelled Bleecker Street so I only have AF Emerald Street to go off of. I’m wearing it now it smells pretty good actually. I just watched a fragrance YouTuber’s video (freddiefragz) compare Bleecker Street to emerald street and he 100% wasn’t paid or anything he says they smell 95% similar. I see a decent amount of people on here say they don’t smell alike so the best thing you can do is to get it in a sample pack like I did to see for yourself. I do like it but not enough to get a bottle. Now Crystal Peak and The Run Way? Those are amazing and I’m getting bottles of those

I really like Emerald Street and after comparing it to Bond No 9 Bleecker Street I’d say that Alexandria has done an excellent job of matching this one. I agree with the previous reviewer that Emerald opens stronger and performs much better for me as well. The scent is a nice spring and summertime scent with a hint of blueberry in the open. If anything I would have preferred that Alexandria amp up the blueberry in their version because that isn’t a note that you see very much and it makes Emerald/Bleecker more unique because of that.

Let your bottle get down to half way - then your BEAST will get unleashed. It takes a while for this to get going. It's so worth it though !! EDIT: Sprayed on me at 10 AM ..... still got whiffs by 8 PM ! This is ONE of the best clones out there !

Scent is great, but this is never anything more than a skin scent. This is very unusual for Alexandria fragrances, which are normally outstanding in both quality and performance. I have many and normally love them. Pass on this one.

As a clone , or a replica THIS KICKS ASS and people will smell it on you ! I CRAVE this stuff !

Bought Bleecker street as well as this one. They arrived on the same day. I must say they are EXTREMELY close in similarity. Like others I agree that this is more of a skin scent at the moment. Someone else mentioned that u have to get halfway thru the bottle before the BEAST comes to the forefront. Right now it’s a fairly decent dupe. Blueberry, cinnamon, and maybe some “I just stepped out of the woods” is what I smell right now. But I definitely have to smell myself to be able to tell. Sadly I expected more, but don’t be discouraged in blind buying if u want Bleecker street at a low price. This would be it.

Downsizing my collection - giving a quick review of the fragrances I just let go before I forget them. Emerald Street Some of the extrait de parfums from Alexandria are just not for me - too persistent, too strong - ultimately annoying to yourself and those around you. To me, Emerald Street is unfortunately that. Those who know Bleecker Street know it's already a persistent smell that can straddle the line between full-bodied and cloying. For me, it's the "cupcake" sweetness of the blueberry that can get too much. This is why I prefer Purple Label. In any case, I find Emerald Street is not a particularly good copy of Bleecker. If Bleecker Street was a multi-layered cake made at a prestigious, local gourmet bakery; Emerald Street is the big-chain grocery store version of that same cake stuffed with added sugars & artificial flavours. 6/10 Main highlight for me = If you like more masculine scents, get Purple Label if you can find it. Not sure what the deal with this is. Ordered straight from Alexandria and it performs very poorly. This is the only fragrance I have from AF (out of the 8 I own) that is so poor. What a shame, really wanted to like this. Maybe it is just my skin, but it is gone within a few minutes. My first thought was going nose blind immediately, but no one else can smell it either.

It took two tries, but this one finally lit up and sent me running back to the web site to buy a full bottle after only having tried samples. The first sampler was in a malfunctioning sprayer. I could barely depress the nozzle, even using my thumb. I removed the sprayer and pumped it several times to clear it of air, but it just clogged up again. And the juice reeked of bitter alcohol. Months later after I kept seeing people giving glowing reviews, I decided to try another sampler. This one worked, but it still kind of reeked of bitter alcohol -- at least in the initial opening. Once it dried down a bit I started to catch whiffs of the violet leaf and blueberry, so it seemed like there might be some hope! I let the juice sit for about three weeks because I'd heard that Alexandria stuff typically needs about a month of rest time to blend with itself, and when I tried Emerald Street again after that, it was perfect. Maybe just the slightest, briefest whiff of something bitter, but overtaken right away by the violets and berries. I sprayed it on that morning, and when I came to the kitchen for breakfast 15 minutes later my wife immediately said "What are you wearing? It smells amazing!" Now I have a full bottle. The original Bleecker Street has some slight differences in the opening, but past the first 10 minutes there's no difference, and Emerald Street has slightly better staying power. Usually it lasts more than 8 hours on my skin, unless I've been out in the sun sweating.

Alexandria fragrances have done some fantastic interpretations such as their Black Afgano, Intoxicated, Naxos & Elysium clones (all WOWS), some very good ones such as their Herod and Pardon clones and some good ones such as their Millisime Imperial and Reflection man copies. But they have done 1 or 2 pretty poor ones as well (Baccarat rougue - not good) and this sadly ranks as the worst of what I've smelt by this house. I am testing this 3 weeks after receiving and it is simply atrocious - what were they thinking? I'm doing a side by side with Bleecker street and the difference in quality is astonishing. This is so synthetic smelling - yes - it does give a feeling of Bleecker st but it is simply not a viable replacement at all. I actually find it quite unpleasant. I've no idea what people are smelling with this - massive thumbs down.
