Ancient Fortress

There is a scene in one of the first Lord of the Rings movies when one elf 🧝♂️ comes in the rescue of Gandalf on a white horse. The scene in the movie stops with a frame of this elf on his white horse right in the middle of the forest with a ray of sun shining down on him. This perfume to me smells like something that elf would have wear when doing that scene. The real elf not the movie actor. I know it sounds absurd. But this perfume smells so fresh and green, a bit ozonic and metallic and, definitely woody-leathery. It is majestic and uplifting - something that all Alghabra perfumes share. Their performance is also good, both projection and longevity. I really like this stuff!

First impresion, similar to Green Leather from Daniel Josier, but definetely not the same. The leather accord is a lot more prominent here, but not as much as in Tuscan Leather, I don't find any similarities to Tuscan Leather. Starts very green and fresh and within an hour the leather starts to grow making it more elegant and mature. So far I really liked it, very good projection too. UPDATE: The fragrance changes a lot in the drydown, it maintains the green aspects plus the leather, but the nutmeg, amber and maybe the tobacco flower add an slightly floral almost 'creamy' aspecto to the base, veryyy good. I like the opening, but love the drydown.

I agree with the reviewer below me, I definitely get a TF Tuscan Leather vibe, but lighter, more airy and more aromatic. Gorgeous fragrance. Love the nuance between the heavy base of leather, but the incredibly clean and light elements of the aromatics - something a bit jasmine like. Could be worn day or night and I think men and women can equally rock this.

First off, the actual notes are different than what’s listed here which is not a big shocker. Secondly, all Alghabra perfume notes are misleading compared to the actual experience which is kinda cool. I have 15 of them and they are all long-lasting enjoyable wearing experiences. At first I thought this would be a light, masculine, Fougere-style leather scent. Turns out this wears unisex leaning feminine. The best way to describe it is that it smells like the inside of my mom’s leather purse when I was a kid. All the combined smells of keys, lipstick, gum, makeup, cash, candy, and perfume mixed with the scent of the soft leather bag. It’s nostalgic. The white tobacco note is basically a white flower accord which is why I think this leans slightly feminine. On me, it wears very clean. It is a bright, semi-sweet, green, white floral leather with a light vanilla in the dry-down. This is my new spring and summer leather. Nothing in this is too loud or too sweet. It is unique and perfect for 90-degree heat.

Fortress, harika bir açılış sonrası hızlıca TF Tuscan Leather a doğru gidiyor. Ama bence ondan daha iyi kokuyor. Koku isimleri ile parfümler arasında daha ilginç ve derin bir hikaye daha güzel olabilirdi. Ancak tüm bu önemsiz eleştirileri bir tarafa bırakırsam; parfümler doyurucu ve güzel. Bu çalışmayı yapan arkadaşları tebrik ediyorum. Bu marka bence gelecek yıllarda çok iyi noktalara gelecek.

Tuscan Leather Fraiche? It has that sharp, slightly cool, and slightly sweet leather very similar to Tuscan Leather's . On which they built this watery green accord that smells like cucumber. And believe it or not it works! The cucumbery scent with sweet leathery strokes has its femininity enhanced with clean, musky, plump white floral tenderness. Velvety tenderness. Green, cool, aquatic, cucumber, leathery, white floral, musky, tender, soft, clean, little soapy. This is one of the best twists of Tuscan Leather. Completely unexpected. Who would have thought to add cucumber to Tuscan Leathe?! Unisex leans feminine. Neutral weather wear. Big "Like".

Ancient Fortress by Alghabra opens with a majestic burst of fresh green apple and crisp leaves, creating an invigorating and vibrant start. very lovely green leather mmmm. makes me think of wet stones with moss growing on them while walking in the cold, wearing a relative's leather jacket. a beautiful sneaky amber in the background of watery white florals and oakmoss. it is just slightly a little too sharp/vinegary (like fermented apples, but in a good way) for it to be an accessible one to wear anywhere, but i definitely love wearing this around the house or on a date. the dry down of tobacco really finishes off the relative's jacket vibe which i loove

Oh my! This is not an easy frag for sure. Right after the purchase, I was just shocked by how feminine and powdery it was. I couldn't believe that "Ancient" in the name was related to the age of a lady who would wear it. Was so disappointed, especially after some reviews and the note breakdown, which didn't suggest it to be dead on old-fashioned and feminine. Musk heavy and this musk, alongside the tobacco flower accord, brings this super strong and sweet powderness. Like the previous reviewer said, it smelled like the inside of a lady's leather bag. But be sure to sample it first, don't make the same mistake I did by blindly buying it. It can be too powdery and feminine. Give it a try with a sample. Update: I ended up giving my bottle to my friend. She said she liked it.

Wow, very interesting first impression. I get a beautifully floral apple note at the beginning with galbanum, lemon, and neroli. It’s wrapped up in these soft, aquatic notes that play into the idea of a seaside castle in Turkey. The base is a fairly well blended mix of leather, oakmoss, wood, and some aromatic spices that help this remain unisex. Nothing really sticks out there and the top notes go a long way in defining it- that apple and neroli/galbanum mix is the biggest player. They certainly did well translating half of the inspiration into a fragrance. There seems to be a lot of ways to incorporate oceanic/seaside/water impressions into perfumes and this does it well, but I don’t always feel like conjuring up that imagery is appropriate for all situations. Something here feels a little old or feminine as well. It’s almost too soft and gentle (maybe slightly powdery in the dry down?), which really doesn’t inspire anything castle-like.
