Musk Perfume Oil

Oh yea, so 60s!!! I wasn't even there but I'm getting flashbacks ;) It's super warm, mysterious, inviting... lush! It has that classic smell but it doesn't choke you out. Suitable for any age. I don't think I'd like this in a spray, this is a deep oily smell that should be dabbed on. The oil was the first product in the line, after all...As we like to say nowadays, BIG MOOD!!! I'm surprised there aren't many reviews on this.

can't get over how comfy this scent is! my granny wore it, my mom wears something similar, now i'm wearing it! it smells classic and old, but it smells so comforting like sinking into skin warmed sheets. it smells clean without it smelling chemical at all, it smells like hugging your mother or your grandmother. it smells like love.

Love Musk Perfume Oil Alyssa Ashley doesnt project as well as I remember or like it too. Am tickled to layer this with Musk Mood when I dont want just a skin scent. Mood enhances Alyssa Ashley Oil now I have my scent bubble.

A perfect clean neutral oil for on the skin as a basic layer before using your perfume. Very clean fresh laundry it is, goosebump stuff.

Like a deeper darker version of wild musk by coty. This stuff breaks hearts.

I recieved my tiny vial earlier today, so this is more or less a first impression. That being said, this does not really leave a strong impression by itself, so I may not update it. I applied it earlier today, when I recieved it, and a couple hours later, I couldn't smell it anymore, so decided to reapply before I evaluated, and accidentally spilled a lot of my 5ml bottle (so tiny! I wasn't kidding), which led to the conclusion that you can't really overapply this fragrance easily, since its still good. That is. right now, with my extreme application, It still smells soft and powdery(I'm guessing because of the musk&iris mix), but I get more oakmoss. I quite like it, not sure if I'll repurchase, since I have another musky powdery scent *(not in the database, its by Therme). That being said, its great as a fresh out of the shower scent, or a white linen sort of day (a day where you'd dry laundry in the sun, or spend all day in bed, alternatively). I think it may also be nice to layer this with something else, something more bright/watery (I tried a singular golden delicious apple next to it, its very gentle, flowers will work too). or, alternatively, if you like the overapplied version (which, I might, and more than the light application), ginger. I just tried it, go lightly, but its very interesting with the moss. sandalwood also seems to work well, keeping it simple. Perfectly clean on its own, but I want to make it more exciting. Safe gift if someone likes powdery scents, albeit a bit boring when applied lightly(the oakmoss is great though, happy it shows up in the cold weather right now), so perhaps better to search something else if you gift it to a fragrance lover (who will probably have tested it, for this price).

This is simple, smells good(still after all those years lol) and cheap. I love to bring or buy a little bottle of this perfume oil when travelling. I think i like the showergel and bodylotion even more than the perfume oil. ;-) It's not overly sweet or heavy. It's a warm, cozy, a lot of musk with a flowery undertone. Very feminine. Perfect when on a very tight budget for me.

My grandmother handed me an old bottle. I don't know but the cap and liquid looked golden. I couldn't find other photos of it here. Always loved musk scents. Love the fragrance of this but I stopped wearing it because I get a bit unlucky during those days. Maybe oils are not for me. Will wear again when I have enough luck to spare.

Super friendly and soft, reminds me of fresh linnen. A cosy, comforting and clean smell. But nothing sexy or too complex. Safe blind buy I would say.

I’m not sure if anyone else experienced this - fragrance of this oil smells like it tries to be a dupe for Chanel No. 5.

After realising that I LOVE musk and the sweetness that comes with it, I've been trying lots of Musk oils and sprays to fine the ones I like most. so far I adore the soapy Skin Musk and feel slightly addicted to old school syrupyness of Jovan Musk. I tried Alyssa Ashley Musk today and I don't love it. It reminds me a lot of Jovan musk, but it has more of a barnyard smell about it that I don't like. Possibly that makes it a more realistic Musk scent as its Animalic for sure, but it shares the lovely, slightly floral, almost golden syrup sweetness that Jovan Musk for women has. It's strong and lasts on the skin nicely. It does dry down to be less farm-like but to be honest Jovan doesn't have that vibe at all so I'll stick with that one personally! Alyssa Ashley White Musk on the other hand, I LOVE!

To my nose it’s an ultraconcentrated laundry soap. Clean and sharp. No bad, but not what I want to wear. Unisex.

I like this one, although I can't wear the Alyssa Ashley Musk spray because that gives me immediate scent memories of my gymnastics teacher in the 80s, so the two scents must be different. I find this one classic, but not dated. It's always a risk to wear an older, popular scent because you could be reminding people of others from their past, but I do feel this one is pretty neutral. This starts out smelling very soapy and sharp- quite a bit like how the classic white Dove soap smells in North America (after living in Asia, I realized that Dove has a different, more powdery, scent there) but it calms down to be a softer, warmer musk that still retains that "clean and just out of the shower" note and becomes more rounded than sharp, if that makes sense. A bit animalic, but not overly so. The sillage isn't huge, I think some have mentioned that the present formula is weaker than it was previously. As a fan of musks, I would say that the closest one to this is Kuumba Made's Oriental Musk (although that one is a little sharper and has some slightly spicier notes, they are very similar). There is a tiny bit of overlap with The Body Shop's White Musk profile but it's definitely not a dupe. I haven't yet tried this one on a really hot day and I'm guessing it could morph a bit with heat.

I've worn Alyssa Ashley Musk for over 30 years, this is one of the few fragrance lines that still produces the scent in multiple body products (lotion, shower gel, deodorant, perfumed oil, and perfume spray). It's the ultimate 'your skin but better' scent and perfect for the office. Admittedly, it's not super sophisticated, but when I'm looking for a pallet-cleansing perfume that won't overwhelm, this fits the bill perfectly. I'd describe this as gentle musk, with a note of iris and powder and a touch of sweetness. It garners a lot of complements. I use the lotion, shower gel, perfumed oil and deodorant, it's subtle and it lasts all day on me. Even scent-phobe coworkers don't object to this one! The hubby loves this perfume.

Tbh I think I prefer the perfume to the perfume oil. The dry down is okay on the perfume oil, but the opening is a bit granny like. The perfume seems to be a bit more balanced especially in the beginning.
