Bamboo & Green Tea

Launched in 2015, Bamboo & Green Tea was created with the intention of capturing the green and refreshing aura of green tea and the woody nuances of bamboo. Many fragrances have already tried to bring the freshness of bamboo to the market, extolling that image of aquatic bamboo or Asian forests. In the case of this creation of Amberfig, there are those who relate to the fact that the perfumer has used a synthetic compound, which confers the scent of bamboo and is used in perfumery, as if it was something unusual in indie / artisanal perfumery. But it is worth saying that it is also possible to get a natural extract of bamboo, much used in other cosmetics. Using a synthetic compound does not diminish the quality of a fragrance unless the ingredient is of poor quality or of doubtful origin. In my opinion, the nuance of bamboo is not even the star of this scent. It calls attention but works in conjunction with other refreshing notes, such as yuzu and neroli. I would say that success here is the result of teamwork. And that team is composed of notes of yuzu, grapefruit and litsea cubeba (May Chang), in the output; Bamboo, green tea, neroli and lemon balm (melissa), in the heart; Atlas cedar and Virginia cedar, patchouli, vetiver, and oakmoss, in the base. But before commenting on the evolution of the fragrance, I think it is worth mentioning that one of the greatest qualities in Amberfig perfumes and in the work of the perfumer David Magalhães is the capacity for innovation, given that the budget and the volume of raw material of an artisanal perfumer are always more restricted than those of the most popular and industrialized major brands. And yet he manages to bring fragrances to the market that make us wonder why no other national company has ever created something similar. Bamboo & Green Tea is amazing. All that I wish I had found in Luminescência, I found it here. Freshness, quality, good projection, and good durability, even in a perfume of more volatile notes. On my skin, there is a mix of everything that refreshes: fruity, citrus and green nuances. But what about the scent of verbena, which lasts for all evolution? It comes from the litsea cubeba, which is a small tropical tree, full of leaves and flowers that smell like lemon. Its oil is produced in China and Malaysia where it is known as Chinese pepper or May Chang and is considered the Oil of Prayer. It is rich in citral, which smells like verbena and lemongrass. Bamboo & Green Tea works like a cold green tea bath, which was prepared with lots of verbena and pieces of infused bamboo, plus a few drops of neroli and bright cedar scrapings. It exudes very well and lasts for about seven hours, even in the hot climate of Rio de Janeiro, where I did all the pre-review tests. It is perfect for hot places and people who love refreshing yet strong fragrances. In my opinion, it could have been called Verbena & Green Tea, because that's what I really felt.

Surprised!! . There is no other word to describe what I thought of this perfume, because it has a very tasty flavor ( classy and chic ) . This scent can be used not only quietly in the morning but also on warm nights so being a perfume wildcard ie can buy in the dark without fear there will be no regrets. very good perfume
