Tamam for Adnan Adbaya

TAMAM, 2023 (reissued in 2025) a collaboration between @anatole_lebreton and @parafarmacia_dr.adbaya People knows I have a sort of very strict rule about blind-buy and, as any grammar rule, there may be exceptions here and there. These exceptions are very sporadic (like a blue moon). In this case it was my trust in Anatole as a perfumer and my faith in Adnan as a true-researcher in the world of perfumery. But what bought me in the end, was that Doc Adnan dedicated this perfume to his mother. This is lovely. This is a trip to the Near East; at the centre of the composition a stunning rose with hints of spicy geranium. A rose that reminds me quite a bit of Perfumista (now long gone, unfortunately) with its fruity and succulent opening. This fruity opening in Tamam is less fresh than Perfumista and in a sense is deeper and denser: the levity of the pear substituted by a rich date. But what is intersting here is the interplay between a lemony incense and quite the dosag eof cypriol. The rose becomes darker and volutptous embracing you with a warm texture. The basenotes are musky-woody making it uresistable. People on fragrantica seem to find similarities with Uruk, but Anatole seems not to agree with that. Extremely wearable and interesting, there is structure in Tamam, something very uncommon nowdays. A good scent is able to make you travel, to make you explore other lands, to conjure up images of unusual landscapes. Tamam is up to this challeng. Bravo! Follow me on IG @alexolympia6
