Sublime Rose

Saffron Pink is spot on, regarding the Turkish Delight quality. It's not dessert in a western syrupy, cakey way. But it is dessert vibe. If you've ever had one of the rose Turkish delights with real rose petal on the outside of the jelly, this is remarkably reminiscent if that, but not in a gourmand sense. Difficult to describe but satisfying, luxurious, and beautiful. The cypress brightens the opening, folding a near simulation of black pepper into the saffron, easing you into the rich depth. As the top convalesces, you're pulled into a woody, leathery tobaccania with a hint of metal that is surprisingly not repellent or screechy. Really steeping in a similar space as a rose oud. As it continues drying down, the honeyed jamminess of the rose oozes out with a velvety dusting of spice. It is so incredibly smooth and only gets smoother throughout the dry down. This is remarkable. This is amazing. This is gorgeous. A must have, considering the price and availability. Eleven out of ten.

Angel Schlesser Sublime Rose stands true to its notes. People will know that you're wearing rose perfume right from the start. The kind of rose that is used here is the sweet and jammy rose, the one you could find on a Turkish Delight, with a hint of freshness in the opening. It is not the same with Mancera or Montale's roses, it does remind me a bit of the rose of Andy Tauer in Une Rose de Kandahar. It does change, but it's not a really complex fragrance. In the dry down, when the saffron comes out, it gives the sensation of leather and burnt sugar nuance which reminds me a bit of Baccarat 540 edp, but this is a different perfume, so if you are afraid that this one is a dupe of Baccarat, I'll say, no it's not. This is a solid release, a chill weather fragrance, that is sexy, intense, dark, alluring, and quite affordable. There's no problem with the silage, projection and longevity.

A blind buy .. It’s Turkish delight, not sugary, but still sweet, there’s a dark chocolate, some spice...It has a middle eastern rosewater/saffron vibe, with a smooth leather in the background. It is a heavier, more syrupy lady vengeance. It’s delicious.

Holy moly. I blind bought this and it exceeded my expectation beyond anything. As a rose lover, this is magnificent! So so good. Rich and decadent roses. The performance is extremely good considering the price. Truly hidden gem!
