Yassemi

Yassemi is the perfect musky perfume. Indolic, but only in the sense of non-offensive white floral, as it never goes past this point. With white floral as the star, this complex scent profile reminds me of a lot of old Chanel perfumes: largely elegant and luxurious civet with musk mallow and yellow floral. As the scent evolves into its middle notes and base notes, it transform from the musky beast of its first spray to something much more unexpectedly soapy, though this soap note still takes the backstage to its glorious, luxurious Egyptian Jasmine core. Blood orange and orange rounds off the scent like how apple sharpens the myopia of broth. The sweetness of black currant is mild here. Gently powdery, sophisticated, somehow it reminds me of the sharpness of French jasmine. Yet, the Egyptian jasmine here holds its characteristic plummy quench to the end. With the diffusive fizz of rum, pink pepper, and patchouli notes, everything else becomes an orchestra to deliver the scent to your nose in a "sharp" manner. And this is what makes it feel sentimental: the feeling of a wet nose before you cry. The sandalwood drydown is not to be messed with. This perfume is not a new concept but it's surely done very well.

White florals supported by musky marine ambergris. Everything else wraps around this core. The fruits add richness, the woods add texture. This is rich, intoxicating floral. It lifts my mood and makes me smile as Angelos has figured out how to make rich symphonic fragrances of the past, but a twist to make it modern and fresh. A delight. A must not miss line for sophisticated fragrance lovers. Sillage close to the body, longevity good. I adore my full bottle.

I'm not willing to pay that price for only 30ml, but it does smell nice. Suppose, if you have money to throw away, by all means. It's gorgeous, and the longevity is as it should be for a quality perfume at this price.

mmm it didn't convince me. I love jasmine and pittosporum with that sweet, honeyed narcotic scent reminiscent of summer naps and coolness, but there's too much stuff around here to relax. On my skin and most of the time it is jarring citrus, animalic and fruity with tons of oranges and currants. Jasmine, I take Ylang, geranium, rosewood. Ambrette, labdanum, casmeran, patchouli and clean musks in the bottom. Unfortunately I get fecal hints in the vicinity and a little dated in the distance. Summery, citrusy, wild.

This smells like someone took a pot went in the refrigerator and put in everything they could find, greens, fruits, herbs. Then they went outside and put in all manner of dirt, twigs, and outdoor herbs and then cooked it over an open flame then dumped an aldehydic perfume into the pot of horrid mess. I am getting ginger here as well, I know it is not listed but I smell it all the same. Maybe when you put all of these ingredients that clearly don't belong together in a so-called fragrance you end up w/ a very pungent ginger smell. Like ginger detergent. This is one of the worst "perfumes" I have ever smelled. Weird. It quite frankly smells toxic. Exactly what I hate about Niche. This is the reason why I rarely pay for Niche samples anymore. I always pull back from sampling most Niche fragrances because of many of the nightmares I have smelled this afternoon. A nice Fragrantica reader gave me these samples. We did a sample swap. I found one gem, but it wasn't this. Just wrong on every level. This perfume reminds me why I think most Niche perfumes Suck.
