I've been working my way through some samples from this line and this is definitely my favorite so far. The weird thing is, I didn't like most of the others because they all had too much rose in them, to the point that I had mentally re-named the line "Annette Neuffer really, really likes roses." Mostly I'm openminded about notes but not rose. If I can smell it, I will hate it. So to say I was unenthusiastic about sniffing this is an understatement. I was just giving the nozzle a cursory sniff before tossing it in the swap pile when my nose perked up. I tried it on paper, then on skin and this, at least on me, is not a rose fragrance at all. It's a boatload of resins and sweet amber and reminds me of Calligraphy Rose in having a rose buried under a lot of heavy resins where it just adds a little transparency and lift. Beautiful!

Heavenly rose and resins here! A blast of spiciness and rose attack instantly with first spray. The come down is milky and creamy and incense. Wow. Absolute heaven in a bottle(sample bottle). This reminds me of Gnostic Mass at Leaping Laughter Oasis in Minneapolis Minnesota. This is the smell of ritual! If you havent checked out Annettes stuff. I suggest making your way to her website and ordering her whopper 12 sample set. Worth the money. I'll be buying a bottle of this Rose!
