Per Fumum: Ambar

Per Fumum Ambar is dark and nutty, very balsamic and peppery, featuring sticky Himalayan fossilised amber (succinite). It's so incensey there's almost a new age shop / joss sticks vibe. Tobacco blended with real ambergris, gingery sandalwood and oud, all natural, take this darker, making me think of the low-pitched, smooth, smoky nuttiness I associate with myrrh. The ginger amplifies the spiciness. Cardamom up top adds to the smoky, dry feeling and there's vetiver for take-off. This is a stunner! Dark, murky, incensey and perfect for winter.

@JGatsby In any case Le Lion will be the copy of this perfume by removing the tobacco as you say, as Le Lion was released in 2020 and the protagonist of this file was released in 2018. Anyway, I have to say that having tried them both, I don't find them as similar as you say. Cheers.

Ambar ambar, in short this is what Ambre loup wants to be when it grows up. The long - it is an extremely well done amber that is dark, spicy, woody, long lasting perfume of many stages, without being repulsive. Start of this perfume would be better known as a "cough syrup" or "Jagermeister" by the general public. If you ever thought that M7 had 'tought' start - then ull be in for a ride with this one. Its x10 what M7 tries to be. But dont twist your nose, it actually smells really good. After about 15-20 minutes it morphs. A bit medicinal vibe of 1st stage dissipates and now we are in the territory of spices. Perfume dries out a bit and gives you an impression of a "Spice market" the way your mind paints it. Dense, dry, darkbrown, cinnamons, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, anise, cardamom, puer tea, tobacco, patchouli etc etc etc... The best thing about it, is that its never sharp, doesnt overwhelm you and spices are so well managed and blended that i have to admit that this is the first time i can tolerate this many spices at once. Annette is a spice wizard like no other. And this is not the end, no no. Once spices lose a hold on you - resins and wood finally appear. Very good materials, smooth, dark wallnut like aroma. Amber Absolute? AA is like an edt compared to Ambar. You still get some spiciness, but in the background. And this stage lasts and lasts still shimmering with varoius facets. Perfume is barely sweet and only thanks to natural sweetness of spices, long lasting, moderate but dense silage. It has so many layers and transitions to it, that every so often it sheds something and keeps your mind and nose intrigued. If i had to compile the image based on existing frags it would be something like : Amber Absolute under M7, under Aquilaria blossom, under Ishraaq, under Ambre loup, under Bel Ami, under cough syrup start of M7x10.
