Blue Seduction

I was dancing with a drink in my hand, I didn't really want to be there. My friends basically forced me to go. It was probably around ten when we arrived at the bar after doing some wine tasting earlier that day. So, at this point I was just letting loose, enjoying the moment. Vibing to the music and all the pretty neon. When all of a sudden I feel a tap on my shoulder.. I look to my right and there he was, a tall handsome guy in a felt hat and cowboy boots. He asked, "would you like to dance" I replied with a definite yes, after unintentionally eying him up and down.. YES? he asked in disbelief. I nodded my head in agreement. He then chugged his beer, placed it on the bar, took my hand and we walked towards the dance floor. Placing his hand around my waist, the other interlocking my right hand and we danced. As we danced I couldn't help but to take in such intoxicating manly scent. The smell of his cologne, the beer, mixed with cigarettes and his minty sweet breath. He smelled amazing. He is now my boyfriend. After a month of dating and constantly mentioning how amazing he smelled that night. I finally asked him.. “What were you wearing the night we met”. Very shy, and with a smile on his face he replied.. Antonio Banderas. I met him with this cologne and will forever remember that night. I mean, how could I forget such mesmerizing scent. Could be used during the day but I recommend to be worn at night. It's a mysterious, fresh, yet creamy scent. The dry down is definitely something amazing, you can smell soft notes of fruit. A wonderful concoction with amazing longevity. Even after we parted ways that night I could still smell him. I mean that in the most romantic way. I would consider this very masculine, but then again I would wear it when I missed him. It smelled very sexy on me. I layer with coconut. BISOUS

This fragrance is just absolute perfection. It's fresh, juicy, and aptly sweet. It's a blast of super juicy, sweet green apple and melon. The mint and black currant combo gives Blue Seduction a nice little "ZING!" that keeps it interesting. The lively and zesty opening is tamed by the masculine sea water/ocean notes. The fragrance hangs tight to its juicy, sweet, and fresh top and middle notes for an hour or two. Eventually, the base starts taking hold. The cardamom and nutmeg provide an easy transition to a sweet woodsy base that lasts but only as a skin scent. I don't detect any hints of cappuccino, but I'm guessing it provided the smooth transition to the "sweet woodsy" smell. Seductive is a very good way to describe this fragrance. The creators took an archetypal men's fragrance (aquatic) and gave it a huge twist by using juicy fruits to provide freshness and sweetness. They didn't rely on the plethora of citruses available to make this fresh. That's why it's so different: the melon and apple provide masculine freshness without being sour and acidic like most men's aquatics. A positive to this fragrance is that it's not pretentious like a lot of designer fragrances or over-zealous like a lot of celebrity scents. The only downside is this fragrance only lasts 3-5 hours. But it is very inexpensive and accessible. So buying another bottle will not be an issue. This makes a great blind buy and a great gift, in my humble opinion.

This was another blind buy for me, and my only regret was not having bought the 200ml bottle when I could! I love the melon note which is pretty strong in this one, as well as its versatility. You can wear this stuff for the office, for going outdoors and even after shower before going to bed every night. Sweating re-activates the fragrance and it makes it way more noticeable and increases its sillage. I would not use it for dates nor for important business/work meetings , nor in any occasion when you want to portray authority/leadership. The manufacturer declares capuccino notes, that are barely noticeable in the dry down, but sometimes you catch it in some whiffs. The one thing people need to understand about all Banderas fragrances, is that you cannot sissy spray them. You've really got to go heavy on the trigger! Every time I apply this one I go 15 sprays on average, sometimes more, I just make sure I bathe on this stuff, so I can get the desired durability. That is why the bigger bottle is offered and makes so much sense. For its ridiculous price I strongly affirm this is a safe blind buy, unless you dislike the melon note of excessive sweetness. IMO though, this is a masterpiece and every men should own this.

I blind bought 100ML for $15. This is GREAT! Say what you want, and think what you want, but I will tell you this is one of the best blue fragrances out there. I personally think Blue fragrances can be worn any time and any season especially this. What's the most important thing about a fragrance? How good it smells! Does this smell expensive? Eh, maybe not, but To me, this is better than some of the most popular designer and niche fragrances. I believe If you blind tested this without knowing who makes it or how much it cost you will believe it's expensive. I'm still new to the fragrance world, and what I've learned is Niche is over hyped. I have yet to find a niche fragrance I like enough to buy. Designer seems to be that perfect spot while cheapies can be fantastic. This is my 3rd cheapie. I'll say this right now this smells way better than the BO smelling Acqua Di Gio. Shout-out to curlyscents she recommended it on her channel. I would have never known El Mariachi made colognes.

Well I blind bought it since it wasn't available to try/buy at any of the stores I looked and it was so cheap like 200ml for 25 euros which is a deal which is why I'm fairly lenient with the rating. Now the perfume isn't much for me, not really my thing I much prefer Afnan 9am dive which I had also bought (ironically a bit cheaper at around 24 euros but it was 100ml though it was edp concentration and not edt like here yet I'd argue it's a better value certainly at that discounted price). So yeah the opening is interesting but not mindblowing and the dry down is fairly oceany I definitely understand the blue color scheme so it's nice I can recommend it perhaps better as a everyday wear for a young guy (12-22) who needs a dumbreach for most occasions and who doesn't know much of perfumes. I think I'll use it for the gym or something it's definitely summery vibes much better to wear this than nothing at all and the the price value it's pretty good 👍

Updated Review per My Last _________________________________ The first thing that hits my nose is that heavy salty sea water and a dash of cardamom and cappuccino. Thereafter the sweetness of the 🍈 melon starts creeping in together with some black currant. It's a nice aquatic feel which feels very unique to my nose. I have a perfume oil inspired version and it's so well constructed that I just close my eyes and think that I am swimming in an 🌊 ocean while the waves are crashing and the seagulls squeaking in the distance. I definitely get a salty accord definitely from the sea water mixed up with some sweetness which is lovely. I think this is definitely unisex and all persons young and old can pull this off in the summer times casually or even formally. I haven't given this much wearing as I just received it together with Issey Miyake the OG and I think I could tell you to layer them both, because they really compliment each other.

This is coming from an oud-lover niche-head: The strangest thing!! People say they got a good amount of compliments, then the same people say it does not perform! So... how does a fragrance get compliments without performing??!! It's absurd! Yes, it has a soft, easy-going, inoffensive DNA, and that's why it doesn't bother the wearer at all, making them forget or go anosmic to it, but the fragrance keeps going. Not a beast, by all means, but it still is an average daytime freshie performer. That being said, the smell is FAR from average. It creates the image of eating ice-cold melon by the pool on a premium Mediterranean Cruise Ship. Lovely scent. Olivier Cresp and his genius minimalist realistic creations. Just buy it, everybody. You (and people around you) will enjoy it! Easily 4.5/5

The flavor is great. Just one of the best regardless of the price. But! This applies to older versions. Recently, the packaging has been reformed and redesigned - now instead of Antonio Banderas, it simply says "banderas" on the packaging and on the lid, and in such new bottles it is a wildly stripped-down faint fragrance that, you can hear for 10 minutes, there is no melon, in short. Why do this is unclear. Yes, but only the versions in old bottles. In the new ones, just don't take it. Do not vote with a ruble for such a hat. Let the manufacturer think about it. Although maybe IFRA has banned everything. Previously, the train was a couple of meters away. I heard it from a kid on the other side of the street. There really was some kind of baccarat among the fresh ones.

Blue Seduction is to Versace Man Eau Fraiche as Cool Water is to Green Irish Tweed. A paralleled case of two master perfumers, Olivier Cresp and Pierre Bourdon, with each recreating a scent profile twice for 2 different houses with different budgets. So this one smells like an abstract version of Versace Man Eau Fraiche. Quite pleasant and youthful, none the less. Lasts for 3 to 4 hours so I normally spray it liberally (if you're buying, get the 200ml bottle. It's the best deal). A nice versatile summer/spring cheapie. P.S. I have Armaf Aura Fresh, it's a great alternative to Versace MEF. Smells very close and lasts longer. Recommended IF priced right.

This would be one of my favorites if it only lasted longer. Notes are well-blended and no single note dominates to my nose. It's a sweet, aquatic, Spring to Summer freshie. I'm not a fan of melon generally, but I like it here. The composition of notes is 9/10. Performance is more like 3/10. I get an hour of performance on skin, maybe 2 hours if sprayed on clothes. If you can decant into a travel sprayer, and spritz throughout the day to refresh, I suppose that would work. The price is dirt cheap at discounters. I paid $13, which is scandalous, but helped me round up my cart to get free shipping. I think this is a good blind buy.

It was one of the best fragrances I've ever tried, regardless of the price. A really interesting fruity-aquatic-marine fragrance with a pleasant fruity-salty trail. Every time I heard this fragrance from a passerby, I was stunned . It was so blurry. The only time I asked what the fragrance was. All of this applies to older releases. We recently rebranded, and obviously changed the formula. What's needed in the new bottle is a complete mess. It smells literally 5-10 minutes close to the skin and the pcc. Most of the notes have been removed and the formula has been heavily trimmed. It's fucked up!

some says its very weak, but nowadays i am using this one. its not so weak what being said. as an edt, its very nice smelling and not weak, i can smell next day in my t-shirt and it can work for 3 hours in skin. anyone comes close to me, can easily notice its very light nice smelling. EDT is all-time weak in projection and very light. edt does not work as edp or winter perfumes. edt is for high heat time when you have to smell light and nice, not very loud because loud smell in summer can cause people disturbed. i suggest all to buy the 200ml bottle for carrying an atomizer and reapplying

I have loved this fragrance ever since my mom gave this to me as a present a decade ago. That aquatic melon opening with the musky salty amber base on my skin is so pleasant to smell. The performance at least for me however, is very subpar. I literally did 30 sprays—yes thirty sprays, before going to the gym earlier today and two hours later, its down to about a foot of projection. I understand body heat and sweat nukes fragrance oils but you'd think 30 sprays would at least do the trick. I still like this though as a stay at home, chill out kinda fragrance. ✅Great

Got a small freebie decant of this when I bought a new bottle of fragrance at my go-to store. From the initial spray, It smelt like rubbing alcohol which was very unpleasant. But oh man, once it dried down I fell in love, definitely a perfect summer/out-of-the-shower scent. I can imagine wearing this when I am at the beach, when I just want to smell extra fresh after showering, or when I am running small errands. And just like what others are saying on here, I do wish that it would've perform stronger. Edit: Bought a full bottle after this review lol.

This is one of my favorite fragrances. Its so unique and its very slept on. It has similarities to versace man eau fraiche but this is way better. Theres a watermelon note in here which really is what makes this fragrance stand out. Its aquatic, fruity, and a bit musky in the dry down. Performance is not the best but you can easily go heavy on the trigger and fix that issue since its cheap anyways. Also dont be fooled, although its cheap, this puts a lot of expensive fragrances to shame! Get this and i promise you wont regret it, it smells amazing!

I have been able to smell this off a perfume oil inspired version at the nozzle and my eyes lit with excitement at how incredible the scent was. From my first impressions, I could detect some aquatic vibes with some melon and some distant black currant or 🍇 grape that was tantalizing. I knew that I had to have this in my collection. I do not understand why this thing in an underrated position. This is the best fragrance I had, ever. I have some other fragrances from Versace, Dior, Lacoste, some arabic stuff, Lattafa, Zimaya, Rasasi, but this one is different. Just a "poor" EDT, but it beats some huge names and fragrances either in longevity and sillage. One of the best scents ever made and I compare with extraits as well... Well worth the 4.5 or above, because some stupid sweet shits are sitting on that level...

This stuff is GOOD. How does it smell? Similar to Versace Man Eau Fraiche. I would argue better. Picture a Miami business man in a private jet flying over the deep blue ocean. He's nice, young, approachable, down to earth, sociable. He shops at Walmart; he shops at Hermes. He's friends with everyone. Versace says look at my silk shirt and gold rolex; blue seduction says lets travel and dance and live life. Cheap? Yes. Generic? You bet. Worth the blind buy? Completely.

Fresh, aquatic, fruity, delicious and easy to wear, this seductive blue lives up to its name. At 22.90 USD for 200ml, I can even use it for sleeping. The only downside is that it's already quite burned out in my country. Regarding the 4 to 6 hour longevity on skin and up to 8 hours on clothes, I usually apply between 20 and 25 sprays... pair it with a pocket decant and you'll smell great all day long! Recommended for blind buying and daily use in summer.

Definitely, this is one of my favorite male fragrances ever!!! I met this fragrance back in 2009 because my partner wore it and it is part of his collection to this day. We never get bored. The melon note is delicious, it is fresh without being too critrusy or aquatic, it is versatile and compliment getter. Yes, the longevity is not the best, but for the price who cares. It can also be a safe option for a gift.

Versace man eau fraiche...creamier, smoother...longer lasting 🙀 a total synthetic monster, but it doesn’t claim to be anything else than a cheapie. This is one of those STEALS in amazon/ebay £20 gets you a 200ml bottle?!! Are you kidding me?!! This has had ravers in the past from ‘curlyscents’ to new fans such as ‘tltg’ on youtube. The reason is, it works...that melon note in opening...🔥🔥🔥

This is early 2000's in the best way possible. Very fresh scent, with watery notes and also some fruits on the background. The dry down is beautiful. It is quite seductive, my wife loves it. Very nice all around and all year fragrance, very safe to use and makes a good impression. It is safe for work, for the gym and for the night. Can't go wrong with this one, and it is also quite cheap.

My love for marine scents is once again justified. It's a very good fragrance for a small price. It has decent durability and a train. but! this applies to older releases. More recently, idiots decided to reformulate it, and now it's just a blue slurry with a durability of 15 minutes. It's fucked up!!

What a fragrance! The freshest fragrance i ever had, and ever smelled.If you looking for the perfect freshness and summer fragrance here it is. It last about 4-5 hours on my clothes, with a moderate sillage .Absolutely worth the price. Masculin man stuff. In my opinon 16-30 years gonna like it .

In my experience this fragrance last very long on me and the sillage is good, projection is great and i must say i get a lot of compliments when im wearing it! Its definitely not the best quality but for the price its a very nice perfume with a mix of fruity melon and masculine aftershave!

The price is great for what you get. Every time I've worn it, people have complimented the scent and seemed to really enjoy it. However, the biggest downside is its longevity and projection, which could definitely be better. An EDP version of this fragrance would be a fantastic addition.

One of the best fruity and aquatic fragrances in luxury. It's mind-blowing. For such a price. It's better than many poor fragrances. It's not an indistinct cacophony of notes, here you can clearly hear everything and it's all delicious. One of the best. I'm shocked.

A wonderful scent reminiscent of a sunny day at the beach. Just spray it on 20+ times and enjoy one of the freshest and most pleasant perfumes on the market. Don’t be dissuaded by the low price, this fragrance smells far better than its cost suggests.

Very nice cheap fresh scent. Aquatic, melon, and mint. The cappucino and nutmeg notes are interesting and add a nice warm compliment to the cool marine notes. Smells better than it should for the price. Smells nice, cheap, I like it.

One of the strongest renditions of Light Blue for Women by the same perfumer, with a nice Melon (not Watermelon) note on top. It beats the original D&G and Versace Man Eau Fraiche in performance.

Honestly for a cologne under 15 bucks this is damn good ! It’s really nice on super hot days and last quite a bit if you Over spray haha give it a try it won’t break the bank.

This smells like if you were to mix Nautica N 83 and Azzaro Chrome Sport together.. The dry down smells similar to Issey Miyake L'eau de Issey pour homme

somehow I like this frag because green note innit and i like green nature vibe kind of fragrance. for price and overall performance I can't complain.

Blue reduction would be a more suitable name. It's barely noticeable and just doesn't last. I was looking for a hot summer friendly fragrance so I don't have anything against mild scent profiles and poor performances, but this one is just too weak. The only scenario that I can image would make this frag work, would be scorching hot summer in a crowded 50 year old east European bus that has no AC and no one strong enough to open any window. It falls short in any other occasion unfortunately. I honestly just use it for sleep... It smells fine for the first 30 - 60 minutes, it's quite enjoyable, and since I had The Icon from Banderas, which I truly love, I thought this one would also deliver, but I'm disappointed. Got myself Nautica Voyage N-83 instead, and for now it does the trick 3 times better. I'll still give it a chance and let it sit a bit, I know from experience that The Icon changed significantly over the months and for the better. Maybe when true summer hits I will change my mind. Until then, this one will basically be just my pajama fragrance... UPDATE: I indeed changed my mind and have yet again experienced a phenomenal example of how some fragrances might need time to mature (not macerate, please inform yourselves guys). After letting it sit a bit and now that we have 35+ degrees outside, it performs very well, no more complaints. The scent profile improved enough to actually have a character. I use it regularly now, and very much enjoy it throughout the day. It's an easy-going, approachable, fresh and clean summer scent.
