King of Seduction

Antonio Banderas King of Seduction is really good. I got King of Seduction as one of my more recent blind-buys due to the Invictus comparisons. And I must say that I am sooo happy about it. After smelling it, I think I found my non-Dollar Store Paco Rabanne Invictus smelling fragrance however, it also has traces of Antonio Banderas Blue Seduction, Usher He and Reyane Tradition II Pure. I can't really say Aventus because I've never smelt Aventus proper. This makes it stand on its own as oppose to say Azarro's Wanted, Jimmy Choo's Jimmy Choo Man Intense, Coach's Coach for Men, Cuba Paris' Cuba Winner, or any number of Zara scents including Blue Spirit, Seoul and Unshakable. One of the notes that set it apart from most of the Invictus pack is the pineapple. This is where I feel it gets the Aventus comparison. That said, it is maybe more along the lines of fruity batch like Tradition II Pure, just more aquatic. A melon note in the top and suede note in the base makes this a lighter, far more aquatic Usher He. That said citrus and sea water notes ground this in the Invictus or even Invictus Aqua wheelhouse but not in an overly sweet way like many find Invictus to be. It last pretty long on me, about a work-day (7 hours) and even just a little more. It's alright sillage wise but the scent, price-point and the longevity are what make this fragrance a great gem. It may be just a little bit synthetic and 1 Million like to some but honestly in the semi-aquatic aromatic modern male scene, this is a great bargain fragrance and should not really be overlooked. I rate this an 8.4 out of 10, mainly due to the only-downside being the sillage.

Here's the thing about this perfume...you gotta be lucky. I tested one in a store and it was great. Smelled quite pleasant, lasted decently and had okay projection. Tested in another store and it was nothing but a blast of harsh alcohol mixed with insecticide and harsh lemon that I couldn't wait to scrub off. The one I have now is pretty good...Great deal for the 200ml. I'd say its a worthy cheapie to have when you don't wanna wear something designer or want somewhere to start your fragrance collection. I'd rather wear this than a lot of the $40-$50 range of colognes. Obviously it's on the cheaper side so keep expectations low, but I'd say it's decent.

This is pretty much 70% invictus 30% aventus,I wore this to work and asked 10 sexi beautiful ladies did they like it and all of them either liked it or loved it,its a stand alone scent and it smells good and for $25 for 200ml is pretty much a steal and it last 7 plus hours on skin days on cloths,a solid 8 out 10 and a amazing sleeper cheapie but goodie.......peace

Fresh and cool and light citrusy but with good woody middle notes. It garners compliments from Women and men who want to know what I am wearing. It is perfect for an office or a night out Its longevity is not great so I would get the absolute version if you do not want to carry around a small decant to re-apply here and there.

Have had this for about 9 months now. Good scent (Versace pour Homme vibe as someone said), good longevity (at least for me - about 10h), but POOR projection (a skin scent). If you want something for the office to overspray, this is the fragrance. Pleasant smell that sits close to the skin

This really is a great fragrance - smells distinctly masculine and powerful and is well priced. Somewhat synthetic smell (which is probably where the contrasts to Invictus come from) but I really love this one, yet can't stand Invictus. Will gladly buy another bottle once mine is finished

This is a nice clean citrus and fruity scent. That you can't over spray. Use as many sprays as you'd like. But bring a travel atomizer with you, to respray your fragrance. So you can extend and smell fresh all day. I'll take it. Can't smell it on myself after three hours...but others could. Hopped in the car and received a compliment from my co-worker. I guess on my skin...this smells like a fruity version of irish spring..."Um...Cool?" I used nine sprays...both wrist, behind my ears, back & front of my neck, chest, front and back of my shirt. There is no similarity to Creed Aventus (or its clones) at all. Also I don't get any pineapple in top notes, only indeterminate sweet fruitiness similar to Invictus or Rasasi Hawas. There is also some freshness similar to Versace Man Eau Fraiche or Blue Seduction, which is great, but what I don't like too much is strange bitter rubbery note in drydown. Overall it's good perfume in style of Invictus, but more fresh (and much less sweet than Rasasi Hawas). But longevity is really bad and I miss ambroxan in base notes.

É um bom perfume, não extraordinário, mas bom, Antonio Banderas não é conhecido por ter uma boa fixação, mas pelo preço e proposta, ele fixa bem (5-6 horas na minha pele), e por incrível pareça, ele projeta bem, a ponto de eu conseguir reconhecer quem está usando ele a cerca de 1 metro e meio de distância. É aquilo, não é extraordinário, mas já arranquei alguns bons elogios com ele. Recomendo sim se você estiver procurando algo para o dia, mas talvez vc ache coisa melhor nas casas de contratipos.

To me it smells very clean, soapy and citrusy. A good and clean affordable fragrance. But many other people told me it smells like a new car. A new car scent, I totally don’t get it and I don’t see it. But I guess I smell things differently. I asked a few girls and they don’t seem to like it. But I very much like this fragrance, just other people told me otherwise.

Nice scent, I get fruits and citrus. Good value but with poor to average performance. I don't know why but sometimes it lasted quite longer, sometimes it doesn't. Will pass on buying a full bottle because of this as there are better options aside from this one in terms of the scent itself and the performance.

This is a citrusy, fruity, masculine fragrance. It's not that long-lasting, and the smell isn't the strongest either. But for this price, this is a very good perfume. Perfect for spring and, very good for gym too. A highly recommended fragrance for those who don't want to spend a lot of money on a perfume.

smells typical and generic but it's something can't go wrong with. soapy and smooth citric. gives you clean and manly vibe. smells like mixed between montblanc legend spirit and invictus. somewhat it doesn't last long. sure it smells delicious and quite joyable! I like this one... also has great value.

Wore this today to work. It actually got a few compliments. Seems to have some lasting power in the warm Cali summer. Stayed around 4-5 hours after application. Although I don't love this fragrance, I do not mind it, especially if its getting some compliments from the opposite sex.

Similar to King of Seduction absolute, but without the tangerine note. It has a tiny bit of cedar and suede. Overall a nice, clean and fresh fragrance for the day or office. I couldn't smell the apple or pineapple notes.

Nice fresh aquatic melon scent with a suede undertone. Very cheap, both in price and quality, but still pleasant enough to wear casually. It also gets compliments. It was created by Fabrice Pellegrin and Amandine Marie.

it ́s fresh, it ́s cool, it ́s warm, gorgeous, brilliant, mysterious, modern, it ́s all of this, a well balanced perfume, well made and not expensive, i like it!

It's decent, could come across as slightly synthetic. There is a slightly cold clinical quality to it though- which no one else seems to have mentioned.

The scent is very similar to Antonio Banderas Blue Seduction EDT, the composition has the same summer, marine, citrus character, only more fruity.

Smells like many others in this category. Well done for the price. Worth keeping in your car or gym bag for sure

It's so good in terms of smell, sadly the performance is pretty weak, but the smell 10/10

I get similarities between this and Invictus, Eros and Le Male.

As others have said, this is an inferior Invictus. It is not so far off that anybody on a budget need feel ashamed for the purchase of it, but it is less impressive upon application, sharper, and dries down into that dubious lemon that I find unappealing in many cheaper fragrances, albeit less pronounced. If on a very tight budget, I would rather save up for Invictus, or go with some other safe cheapie like Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale Blu, or your preferred Cremo scent, which are excellent and safe cheapies, to the extent that I've sniffed them, although something like Spice & Black Vanilla is probably going to lack a little in the versatility department. Personally, the next time I reach for this I'll probably be regifting it.

Nose Note #188 I have tried only a few of Banderas, but so far none of it is a complete miss. I remember Invictus to be sweeter and more fruity, thus I'm not so sure on the similarity This one is halfway between The Secret Temptation and Blue Seduction. Not a bad example of a modern aromatic fragrance. The downside is performance and the fact that there is nothing memorable about it Little similarity to Invictus. It maybe going in the same direction, but that's it

I don’t know if I just got a bad batch or something, but I can barely smell the actual fragrance, as almost everything i smell is just alcohol. What little I can make out is a nice fruity barbershop scent, the longevity, though, is almost nonexistent. But that’s basically what I expected to get for 20 dollars (960 Ukrainian Hryvnias). Still wear it while going out sometimes though.

I don’t particularly feel anything bad or good towards this fragrance, it’s just one that I use whenever I want to smell like something but I’m staying home or something

smells great reminds me of givenchy oblique 2000 but it so weak , fiew minutes after it goes for skin scent !! i like the scent but the performance is bad

I just tried this one. I've never liked any Antonio Banderas perfume. They've been a no-no for me for a long time. But I got curious after reading some positive reviews of this fragrance. What can I say. I'm starting to believe the ones they sell in the stores around here are very different to the ones other people review. The first few seconds are tolerable. And then... it gets worse than insecticide. I'm not joking. I couldn't wait to wash it off my arm. Either my skin reacts horribly to some component all Antonio Banderas perfumes share, or they don't sell the "real" ones around here. Or they're just terrible.

Received a sample on another purchase. On me (note: I am a woman), it starts nicely as some kind of citrus with wood notes. Unfortunately these notes quickly disappear to turn into something that reminds me of boring, generic aftershave. I do not get any suede nor amber nor most of the notes. I would be glad with the cedar and citrus notes I get at first, but they last nothing on me. My brother tried it and he found it boring.

Great smell with a Versace Pour Homme vibe. But very poor longevity... an hour at best. It doesn't even last on clothing. Maybe I got a weak batch? I won't even sell it on ebay because the buyer will feel ripped off buying a 30 minute fragrance. In the trash it goes. I gotta stop trusting reviews on this site and start testing more. No more blind buys for me.

My girlfriend calls it the 2 minute seduction. I came inside of her beautiful, most lovely and very clean happy place one day and she said "Rich get the f out of my house and take your 2 minute cologne with you "

Very synthetic musk-vetiver combo which is harsh and unpleasant in drydown. This was my last blind buy purchase. For those who voted this smells like Creed - you have never smelled Aventus in your life :)

Sorry but i don`t like it. The scent has something marine but overall to me it smells synthetic and cheap. The Blue seduction is better.

Personal opinion/subjective review: 3/10 Smells WAY too synthetic, cloying, and sweet. It is the kind that has a big sillage and lasts too long but smells so sweet that I can feel it clog my pores. Instant headache. Has barely any citrus or marine, mostly just that fruity bubblegum scent. Lightens up just a little bit after a while and becomes almost tolerable. Remains the same ultra bubblegum choking scent throughout. Smells very similar to Adidas Champions League in a way, so gets some nostalgia points. Would definitely not recommend blind buying.

From what I read in the comments this could explain the discrepancies, my bottle smelled pretty much like the good reviews, nice invictus dupe vibe, average longevity, pretty acceptable. Now it smells much weaker with poor longevity. I think this fragrance as other Seduction AB fragrances suffer degradation (which maybe can even happen on shelves). I store all my fragrances in the same closet, very dry and very dark. My bottle of Black Seduction got a weird sticky consistency and acquired a broken smell after storing it in the back for a year or so. My King of Seduction bottle seems to be having a similar problem. The consistency hasn't changed yet but the scent is different and notably less pronounced than before. Both come in the same kind of cubic bottle (just different colors), so maybe they're prone to bad sealing. Both of my Black and King of Seduction were 100mL. None of my other fragrances (including other AB fragrances) have degraded like this ever.

The King of ordinary fragrances? Maybe not quite so, but this really doesn't stand out of the other members of Banderas Seduction family. Don't need to look too far; Banderas Seduction Cool's already had some take on Chrome Sport spirit. Not that fruity, sweet and watery that is the original Seduction, and not that sometimes sickly sweet that is the Seduction in Black, this King is something between (and perhaps, with a tiny fraction of Eletric Seduction in the formula), another pick yours among the other members of the Seduction family, not needing to get all, as I was in the way of doing. Yes not bad, but as we usually read, why bother? P.S. on second thoughts looks like more a mild variation of Eletric Seduction. Base notes come rather quick.

I light interpretation of the original Seduction, fresh and crisp. But I agree, this shares 1 million molecules, and that spoils it for me a bit. Blue Seduction & Seduction in Black was considered modern-masculine & unique in a plethora of 1 million sweet synthetic clones and this interpretation had the chance to further that, but it fell a bit flat because of that likeness to 1 million; a synthetic suede cinnamon sweetness that lingers after the 2 hour mark. Because of that, and and it's lack of longevity, King Of Seduction should be dethroned. As the queen on hearts would say, "off with his head!"

I see that scent a copy of the Aventus .. Calmer. Not that it is IDENTICO, only that compared with the same and its Similares like the CLUB of Nuit, it is clear the similarity, so that the King of Seduction, is more accentuated the fruit side, and much sweeter. Without having much the citrus side, just on the way out. Nothing to do with INVICTUS, my God, where did you get that? Those who argue that it does not look like the Aventus, are the same ones that say that the Club does not look like the Aventus. Admit: The Aventus is an ordinary perfume. If it was cheap, neither fame would do.

Fresh, shower gel type of fragrance. I can smell the apple , orange blossom, and more than amber I feel there's some tonka in it (actually in the ingredients list mentions coumarin) also a slight woody aroma wich might be vetiver. IT'S NOT CLOSE TO INVICTUS that's the absolute version of this one, this for me is like a Silver Scent Pure Light or even a Eros Light, It's just a meh, it doesn't last long, quite pleasant. Not bad if you want something to hang around the house. 70/100 RIYL: Montblanc Legend, A&F Fierce, Silver Scent Pure, Eros etc.

Não sei se é do vetiver mas, lembro-me do odor do couro, que muito me agrada, amo perfumes masculinos, eu os uso, pois, há algo de poderoso em estar com cheiros mais fortes,nem sempre docinhos I do not know if vetiver but I remember the leather odor, which I like very much, I love men's perfumes, I use them because, there is something powerful about being with stronger smells, not always sweets

This one smells alright. Doesn't last very long and doesn't project. Sits close to the skin. Good for a dumb reach. You will not smell bad or get noticed. Wife said it smelled alright

E bun ca miros, dar ok ca persistenta. E nevoie de mai mult de 5-6 pufuri ca sa persiste pe piele. Antonio Banderas este un brand bun si ma astept sa faca un upgrade la acest parfum.

From the notes, looks like a possible Aventus clone.
