Lutfa Light in the Heart

This is a twist on Althair. I actually enjoy this one more than Khadlaj Vanilla Island Dunes and Maison Asrar Masterpiece. The only Althair-inspired DNA that tops this is Lattafa Classic Stone. The quality here is far better than what you get from Khadlaj and Maison Asrar. While most Althair dupes tend to suffocate you with that cloying caramel/toffee sweetness, Lutfah takes a fresher, more ambery approach. The opening is lovely—I get this bergamot-dusty accord that blends beautifully with the heavy cinnamon and cardamom before it dries down into a warm, ambery, and slightly woody scent. I don’t get any woody backbone in Vanilla Island Dunes, but this one definitely has it—and I really enjoy that. Performance is solid. About 8+ hours on skin with good projection. I can’t stop buying fragrances from Arabiyat Prestige—the quality of their juice is phenomenal! I honestly rate them on par with, if not better than, the Lattafa Niche Emarati range(though Niche Emarati stomps Arabiyat in performance and projection in general). I just hope this brand doesn’t get overhyped like Khadlaj or Maison Asrar, before it loses its value. And I can confidently say this: those brands don’t even come close to the quality Arabiyat Prestige delivers (and I own a lot of Middle Eastern fragrances!).

Starts off as Althair and dries down to an ambery althair. There's a strong almond note in this which is very off putting, also to be clear the performance is average. It also does not smell high end or luxurious - it's average. Some influencers have been promoting this but you will never see them wear this & there's a reason why. It smells more like SWY Amber + Althair than Grand Soir. Grand soir is an elegant, grown up, luxurious scent - this smells like you layered two designer fragrances to try and stand out.

This has had to sit for a while to shine. My last review was pretty negative but I tried this on after 3-4 months of owning it & wow. Beautiful dry down. I’m the biggest Grand Soir glazer (I’m on my 3rd bottle) & the dry down reminds me of Grand Soir & it’s super addictive. This is really sexy & elegant. It’s also super cheap, there’s no reason to not own this. Everyone has liquid brun or althair alternatives now so this is a step above & smells more ambery and luxurious.

I have got this today, and my first thoughts are i have actually never smelt a top quality first initial smell from a dupe in my whole life. It actually smells top tier for what it actually resembles!! Definitely niche/designer quality. Big ups to FragranceFlan this is a 10/10 for me!!! Defo a big hit this winter. I LOVE IT

Opening is so hit or miss for me. Some days it smells similar to Althair, others like a weird hair spray vibe. But the drydown, oh my goodness. Phenomenal drydown. It smells like vanilla with like a bit of ambery vibes. It smells so damn good on the drydown trust me, I non stop smell my wrist when it dries down. Love it!

There’s really only one way to describe this fragrance. You take that lovable opening from althair and remove the not so nice headacheish dry down and replace said dry down the elegantly crafted dry down from grand soir. Combined these make a beautiful fragrance with an awesome start to finish. Would recommend.

Got Althair, Grand Soir and Liquid Brun so I love this profile and gotta say they nailed it with this release, you like those frags then it’s a no brainer and it’s cheap cheap cheap!!!! Love the Arab hybrids!!!!!!! Keep it up!!!!

This is inspired by Althair, but here the drydown somehow smells like Grandsoir, ambery and pure warmth, while the opening focuses on the Cardamom and sweet spices of Althair. Smells like a sexier masculine Althair.

This is a great cold weather fragrance and for the price it’s absolutely worth it. I gotta check out more from this brand.

Mostly I can smell is cinnamon but I also get some of the vanilla and guaic wood. The cinnamon is super overpowering and comes in waves. When I bring it to my nose it smells really sophisticated but when it's 6-12 inches away from my body, all I can smell is the cinnamon. This makes this fragrance kind of weird for me because I don't know if everyone else can smell the sophistication that the fragrance brings or if they can just smell the cinnamon.

I think it's a mix of blonde amber and althair in the beginning and grand soir in the drydown. I prefer much more the drydown since it's more mature and less harsh. I'm not a fan of the opening since I don't really like blonde amber. Good projection and longevity

It does smell a bit insencey but ig thats from the middle easterness from it. Smells like a cinnamin vanilla insencey at the start into a heavenly dry down of pure vanilla. Just wish the opening was a bit smoother (opening lasts about 30 to an hour).

It is just althair mixed with grand soir. It opens with althair and dries down to grand soir. It is not bad, but I enjoy those two fragrances separately. If you want a smoother and more mass appealing althair, I guess this one is worth a try. 7/10

I do like this, I do prefer Brun. Believe it or not, my favorite way to wear this is by layering it with lattafa kamara. I dont know why I like that pairing so much.

I equate this to an EDT MFK GS 7.5/10

Everyone here is writing exactly what @FragranceFlan said and I also jumped on that bandwagon and bought it. Not bad but not great either. I prefer Club Black. Edit: I noticed Guess Seductive Noir in the Reminds me Of section.....no floral notes in the Lutfa but the Guess might be more interesting with a better drydown.

no. after having grand soir, I am repulsed by this. Too incensey and sickly sweet. Just not smooth and high quality at all.

This is pungent. Ambroxan overload with a very sweet cinnamon, vanilla sugar combo. It is not truly pleasant. Too harsh...

This fragrance makes me go aaaaah. The richness and warmth are very satisfying. It's beautifully blended and has outstanding performance for such an affordable fragrance. The spices are perfectly balanced between warmth and intrigue. It could be said that it's a bit masculine but a woman can wear it just as easily. I will also add that I was skeptical before trying due to the Guaiac Wood, which I normally don't enjoy because it often comes off like BBQ, but this doesn't. This is how Guaiac Wood should be done. There's a nice touch if Bergamot in the opening that adds some sweetness. I love it!

i wanna like this - and gourmands in general - but something about most of them ive tried dont do it for me. i tried Althair and liked it but this one isn't doing it for me (i know its not 1 to 1). there's a candle waxy type smell to it thats off putting, maybe im just not an amber type of guy lol. gonna give it some time as it just came in today but hoping some maceration does it well after some time w this im really starting to enjoy it more. the opening stays a bit harsh, but the ambery - warm & sweet dry down is gorgeous. also wish it was a tad sweeter at the top but glad it own this one
